Making It Fun in the Philippines

I always remembered how the Philippines always has the problems of people who refuse to follow simple guidelines . It just made me think of the time that when I went to Singapore and later to Hong Kong, I was amazed at how people could follow simple guidelines without the use of Communist policies such as beating people up who do offenses. The problem of not following simple guidelines has the scenario that  the problem is NOT democracy in itself but a lack of discipline . Now I am not saying we should criminalize everything like the Communists do nor am I endorsing the real need for another martial law era. The problem is that, after martial law, a lot of Filipinos have developed a wrong sense of freedom . Freedom for them has been defined by a do what you want and you're not the boss of me type of thinking. In progressive nations, they have the RIGHT idea of sharing... Don't get me wrong, I am not against a culture of sharing but against the wrong idea of it. You can see a culture of sharing in some of the most progressive countries in the world because people learn how to share their resources. Remember that Singapore and Japan have a culture of the right idea of sharing. It just reminded me of how decent Singaporeans went against that Stinkaporean cell shop that cheated Mr. Banh and made him beg for mercy... FACEDESK AND FACEWALL to that. When the Singaporeans helped him out of the predicament of being cheated by a Stinkaporean businessman and he was able to go home safe and sound, that's the right idea of sharing. People shared their resources to help a person who was truly in need and they return the favor. In Japan, work production value is so properly done because people share their resources with each other. That's the kind of sharing that many Filipinos need to lear...

Even before the start of the President Nobita Administration and it was still during Ramos, Cory, Sherap and Gloria, I still can't forget how Kris Aquino has become a weapon of mass distraction  and so are a lot of the faulty TV shows in general. Whenever I hear of the late dictator's excuse of banning Voltes V because of "violence", come on there were other shows more violent than that. I mean, my mother said there were still other shows that were not banned from the Marcos era . From what I heard, it was FIVE episodes or was it midseason that the show was suddenly banned? An interesting theory was that the late Ferdinand Marcos Sr. himself was afraid of being overthrown. Aside from the current Aquino problem, there's also the Marcos problem and somehow, I don't even know whether or not all the bad stories allegedly done by the Aquinos are really true, the same goes for the blots of the Marcoses. But let's just focus on the late dictator rather than his son Bongbong or the incompetent idiot, President Nobita.

What is martial law? It is the suspension of ordinary law in favor of military law as a rare measure used to control society during times of unrest. Looking at how many Filipinos have a love for a dysfunctional sense of freedom , a  culture of dysfunction and a culture of impunity which is further propagated in the name of " It's More Fun in the Philippines ". I can really observe how a lot of Filipinos use the tagline as an excuse for their bad behavior and considering today is September 21, I thought writing about martial law might be a very touchy topic indeed. While I am not a Marcos loyalist but I thought about how sometimes, the rule of military law is needed and I hate to admit it, the Philippines is usually at unrest because of people who can't even follow simple guidelines . Now I can see this illustration as two Math teachers arguing... It pains me to think but the Philippine public school education system is usually very lousy and Math is never spared from it. It just reminds me of how some stupid Math teacher of mine has the attitude of, "I'm always right, you're always wrong." and she had that huge sense of entitlement. When I heard of the Bureau of Customs (BOC) with what they have been doing with balikbayan boxes, I soon started to remember the current problems that also plague the Philippines. Aside from imported garbage, I really dare to say that the BOC is also responsible to why the international syndicates could easily do business in the Philippines. I still couldn't forget that incident that some crazy fat American who wants to migrate to the Philippines commented something like, "What? You people love Singapore so much. That city is a tyranny. I will kill myself if I have to follow all those rules." Here's one of the dumbest comments from this video I've read saying, "True being late is not good for the business owner but one hour is not really a lot of time . I highly doubt that this hick lost millions of pesos in the one hour the kid is late. But I can't really say I don't know what kind of business the guy operates. Knowing that Suzy Bae going to be in the Philippines this September 16, 2015 in SM EDSA Skydome, I can't help but think of possible events that might actually happen.  I might sound really speculative but I thought about how those annoying ultranationalists might actually stir trouble over Suzy's event in the Philippines.  So what's with this post?  I'm just being speculative with possibilities of Suzy's arrival, it could get chaotic for several reasons.

Whether you like it or not, negative opinion is always part of life.  However the problem of many Filipinos is that they tend to play the victim card  whenever they receive negative opinion, which by the way is just like spices, you throw out the bad ones and graciously receive the good ones.  It's a huge problem really how the typical Pinoy ego is so easily fragile to the point that the Philippines has had the stupid Balat-sibuyas Basic Law  catering to whiny Filipinos, waving the persona non-grata staff on the supposed offender or lock up the person for one's opinion. It really makes me think that President Nobita himself wasn't making any sense when he scolded his allies for pressing income tax cut. I mean, why does he still insist on having a very high income tax bracket for income worth PHP 500,000.00 when all I can say is that "LOOK, Mr. President, the Communist countries in the list above have 20% and the Philippines is stuck with 32%!" Common sense say say this that if tax rates are so high, tax evasion tendencies will be higher. For example, you may have investors local or foreign coming but don't expect them to pay correctly. A reminder... Gilas' achievement is THEIRS and THEIRS ALONE! I always thought about the Gilas Team, their losses and wins and how a lot of Filipinos tend to react with their attitude. When I think about how Gilas had its struggles and losses against the Iranian team, what a lot of Filipino basketball fans did was to simply insult the Iranians for having "stinky armpits" as the reason why the team lost. Well I may not really write long posts all the time either. Here's one picturet hat was shown in Manila Ocean Park. Can you tell what's wrong with the picture? You can clearly see the sign on the floor which says, "PLEASE DO NOT GO BEYOND THIS LINE." but then you see the visitors going beyond the line. Whenever a Filipino either Pinoy or not speaks of change, it's really a problem when such people are unfairly labeled as " Anti-Filipino " because they oppose the values that Failipinos think are part of the Filipino culture.
