The UP-Diliman Protesters DON'T DESERVE To Be Called Iskolars Ng Bayan

It's just disheartening to think that the University of the Philippines is SUPPOSEDLY a government school. We have had great minds from UP such as the late Atty. Miriam Defensor-Santiago or Atty. Harry Roque. However, we also have pasaway "thought leaders" like Rep. Sarah Jane Elgago, Raoulol Manuel, and social media influencer Gerry Cacanindin. I'm not going to apologize for this post because this needs to be heard or published. Again, UP is a GOVERNMENT SCHOOL so why should it be housing legal fronts of the CPP-PNA such as Kayabangan Partylist and the Lazy Filipino Students?  I may have issues with Benign0 from Get Real Philippines . It's not because Benign0 points out what needs to be pointed out. Rather, Benign0 is still so focused on the idea that Filipinos must straighten up their act first before we change the system. Benign0 is also very fond of feeding trolls like Darth Moron the Wuss. A post he wrote very recently is on the UP Diliman "activists...

So What If It's A Filipino Economist Who Tells You Protectionism Is Good, Economic Liberalization Is Bad?

It's very easy to argue now that so and so is an economist, right? I was thinking of who to make the est poster person of this blog post. The first "logical choice" could've been Vice President Leni Loud Robredo. The next "logical choice" would be Sonny Africa of IBON Foundation since he got his degree from the London School of Economics. Since there's the erroneous belief that seniority builds "credibility" - I think the best poster person for this post is Solitas "Winnie the Pooh" Collas-Monsod, the wife of Atty. Christian Monsod who helped frame the 1987 Constitution. Unfortunately, the 1987 Constitution was written in such a hurry. Fortunately, it's NOT illegal to make amendments to it when necessary such as amending excessive restrictions against foreign investments. I remembered how often I spoke about the need for economic liberalization. I was told, "STFU YOU AREN'T AN ECONOMIST!" Fortunately, the late Lee K...

A Parliamentary System Will Easily Pinpoint The Education Crisis

I don't know if whether Vice President Leni Loud Robredo or Education Secretary Leonor Briones in the right or in the wrong. Though, under a presidential system, the transparency is hardly there. It doesn't help that both President Rodrigo R. Duterte and Leni Loud are from two opposing spectrums . I mean, if the Liberal Party is the Opposition then why is one of their members in the Government? Shouldn't Leni Loud be in the OPPOSITION where she belongs? Shouldn't Leni Loud step down and be part of the Opposition? Such is the case of the presidential system when the Government and Opposition aren't well-defined. Though, such won't be the case of the parliamentary when there are times when two or more political parties form a coalition government . That means both PDP-Laban and the Liberal Party must both agree to be the majority floor while other parties like Nacionalista and Bayad Muna must both agree to be the minority floor. It would make more sense for Leni L...

It Doesn't Look Like Filipino Commies In UP Even Honor The UP-DND Accord

The current proposal to scrap the UP-DND Accord (which is an agreement between the University of the Philippines and the Department of National Defense) is something worth discussing.  What is the UP-DND Accord really about? Rappler shows the following stuff concerning the UP-DND Accord : Prior notification shall be given to the UP administration by the military or police before they could conduct any operations inside the UP campuses. Except in " cases of hot pursuit and similar occasions of emergency ," no military or police shall enter the premises of the UP campuses. When the UP administration asks for security assistance from the troops, only uniformed personnel of the military and police can enter the campus premises . Members of the military and police "shall not interfere with peaceful protest actions " by the UP community in their campus. The service of search warrants to any UP student, faculty, employee, or invited participant in any UP activity shall as...

The Ungrateful Iskolars Ng Bayan Shoud REIMBURSE The Government For Their Free Education

I'm not here to antagonize public schools in general. In fact, some developed countries still have public schools for the less fortunate. Unfortunately, a recent viral picture of a certain Mr. Jejomar Contawe says that he's a scholar of the Filipino taxpayers and not of the F***ING government. The guy is not a graduate from the University of the Philippines (UP) but from Tarlac State University (TSU). Does this guy not realize that he's a scholar of the government? For one, it's the GOVERNMENT that allocates the expenses used for deserving scholars. Does this guy think that there's this "funding fairy" that goes door to door with the money of the Filipino taxpayers?  What should be amazing is that this guy is just as arrogant (if not more arrogant) as Raoul Manuel  from UP. The statement above really is something. He owes his education to the Filipino peopel which is PARTLY true. However, isn't it that it's the government who actually ALLOCATES the...

Alliance Of Complaining Teachers' Demand For Free Laptop And Internet

Here's a picture of the car rally done by the members of Alliance of Concerned Teachers (ACT) though I prefer to call them members of Alliance of Not Concerned Teachers. Alternatively, ACT can also mean Alliance of Complaining Teachers. It's really something that the members of ACT demand for laptop and Internet allowance for EVERY TEACHER. This really shows the typical palamunin culture in the Philippines now, doesn't it? They want laptops and Internet allowance but they go against what could've given them more affordable laptops and Internet allowance namely foreign direct investments or FDI. One of its members Antonio Tinio has been going against economic liberalization . His reasons? Well, he obviously hates competition because losers hate it. Ironically, Tinio who is against economic liberalization loves the International Clown Court  and wants the Philippines to stay. So what's it going to be Tinio? Why support the ICC if you are against foreign investors?...

Why Free And Quality Education Is Just Another Delusional Communist Fantasy

Demand for free education? I remembered writing an article about the stupidity of wanting everything for free . Sure, children and teenagers don't understand basic business concepts (unless parents decide to TEACH THEM WHY THEY HAVE TO PAY) but what about adults? Above is a picture of ADULTS (and you can notice Sarah Elago of Kayabangan Parylist near Antonio Tinio of Alliance of Not Concerned Teachers) are protesting for free education. Free and quality education for all? Typical Marxist or communist mindset now, isn't it? Businesses are categorized as profit and non-profit. For businesses to operate, they do still need a PROFIT to keep it going. If there are no revenues then where will businessmen (in general) get the funds to pay for their bills and to improve the businesses. A business may run not intended for profit but there is always the MARKUP price which gives the company its profit. Your net profit is not your day's sales. Rather, your net profit is derived fro...

Want To Get A Degree In BS Philippine Expertise? Go Get It In The US-Based Or EU-Based Universities!

I'm not anti-American but man do I hate the American government. What they did in Iraq is just evidence of how arrogant the United States of America as a political entity became. Now, the same stupidity is still going on. It's just like a Filipino who's not anti-Chinese but man does he or she hate the Chinese government. Right now, I just want to throw in a bit of humor because of those annoying arrogant white men . We've got some stupid American and European Union (EU) officials who are acting like they are experts of the Philippines for the nth time . With this in mind - it looks like I "need" to go back to school and take a degree in Philippine Expertise . It's either in the USA or in any European Union country. Why I'm writing this mockery of a blog post because of previous and most recent events too. I'm amazed at the arrogance of people like Phelim Kine  and Agnes Callamard . A recent report has it that US Senate committee has passed reso...

Are You Proud That The Philippines Has The LOWEST Reading Comprehension Among 79 Countries?

I remembered writing years ago about how it's annoying that many Filipinos just don't bother to read posts properly  before they comment away. It's like certain people and a certain blog that has become a lobbyist for morons. It's stupid how such people can accuse so and so of such yet they can't even point out the specifics. Many of these commentators are ANONYMOUS yet they demand so and so to show up. You also have people who react without pointing out ANY SPECIFICS whatsoever. They don't care anyway because they think they're so smart when the evidence says otherwise. Why am I not even surprised that a recent report from the Philippine Star shows that Filipinos themselves the Philippine has the LOWEST reading comprehension among 79 countries ? I'm not a bit surprised at the recent report about Filipinos and low reading comprehension. After all, you can consider some situations where some bloggers get attacked by stupid Anonymous people who comment...

Would Filipino Student COMMUNIST Groups Trust Criminals And Terrorists Over Police And Military For Their Safety Needs?

The militarization of schools is either good or bad. If the militarization happens without a good cause like a national state of emergency - then by all means protest! However, the recent proposal to militarize certain schools because of the recent phenomenon of disappearing minors to the New People's Army (NPA). The NPA is something that school authorities and guards aren't able to handle themselves. The security guards in schools are only meant to handle basic cases but they do have to call the cops should something beyond their control happens. Unfortunately, the NPA recruitment of students is something that security guards can't handle in contrast to trained policemen and soldiers. These are two fears that I believe have been confirmed. First, two former rebels have confirmed that the NPA does indeed recruit students . Second, a DepEd executive confirms that NPA recruitments of students have been found in Northern Mindanao . Thes two fears reveal that the NPA has ind...

Would You Enroll In Professor Trillanes' Class?

The very idea that Antonio Trillanes IV would want to be from Magdalo to Magturo (teacher) can be disastrous. Tomorrow is declared by some University of the Philippines' (UP) students as the National Day of Walkout  then can you imagine if Trillanes himself would become a teacher at the UP in one form or another? Just imagining him become a professor is already dangerous in itself due to his track record from Oakwood to the Senate and up to the time his term is over. I would like to really assume that Trillanes himself may be a closet member of the New People's Army. Who knows maybe he has secretly become Joma Sison's successor. The reason has to be that why is he sometimes seen in rallies while in his best formal suit? Why does he appear at rallies rather than do his jobs? Just imagine if you're sending your child to UP or you're just about to enroll in UP and he may be your first teacher. Chances are he might teach political science or public administration d...

Teachers Who Let Their Students Attend Rallies Should Be Terminated And Blacklisted

I remembered I wrote about Risa "Fujiko" Hontivirus-Baraquel as a confidence trickster. It's really a shame how she would influence a 13-year old student to join the #YouthResist. I also remembered writing about how  students should be considered as candidates for expulsion for joining activist groups . Now, it's time to consider another problem namely the teachers because there might be teachers too who condone to such stupidity. Senator Bato Dela Rosa has his desire for such teachers to get expelled for encouraging such stupidity. Here's something that really makes more sense than all the highly educated idiots (some of them are even Cum Laude which proves grades aren't everything) have to say according to the  Inquirer  which I pretty much agree: “They should be removed. Parents enter their students there to become professionals, not to fight the government,” Dela Rosa, speaking in Filipino told reporters in an interview when asked about the matter. ...

Students Joining Activist Groups Should Be Considered For EXPULSION In All Schools

I just realized that two days ago, Senator Bato Dela Rosa actually supports the idea of expelling activist students from State Universities and Colleges (SUCs). However, I'd like to give some correction to Senator Dela Rosa with his support. It's good that he supports the idea of kicking out students in SUCs who are part of communist organizations. The limit should not just be towards communist organizations but also in PRIVATE SCHOOLS as well. Do we forget that some private schools have become a home for activists too? Take the Ateneo De Manila University (ADMU) for example. It's a very prestigious school yet it's become an activist for the Dilawan socialists. Sadly, it has been involved with partisan politics like when they decided to award Jover Laurio's mediocrity. There are activists here and there and not just in government schools. Private schools too have been infiltrated and not just the ADMU. These activists are people  who simply don't want to fol...

Please Support Maria Isabel Layson's Investigative Work For A Diabetes Cure

Please stop SMART SHAMING brilliant Filipinos and free-riding on them when they succeed! Just watching this video sponsored by the Gokongwei Brothers Foundation. This promising 16-year old Filipino student named Maria Isabel Layson may be on her way to revolutionizing the medical world.  Why am I interested in her study of using the aratiles fruit to counter diabetes? It's because diabetes is prevalent among Filipinos. Maybe, you can blame the high sugar diet such as adding extra sugar to the tomato sauce or the bad habit of drinking too much soda. That's why I'm in favor of the sugar excise tax . Many of her loved ones died as a result of complications due to diabetes. It's a motivation and she's not after the screams saying "PENOY PRAYD!". Instead, she's having a noble cause in her research. The obstacles to this research aside from time and money can take place in the form of anti-intellectuals regardless of age. You can have peers of hers...

The Problem Of Learning Many Math Subjects Except Basic Economic And Financial Literacy

It's a shame really that a certain 4Ps obsessed old man is so arrogant because he has a degree in Mathematics and a systems analyst yet he believes in all his nonsense. There's the saying that you can be highly educated yet you can also be very stupid at the same time. Do you remember the story of the scholars and the lion ? We have to realize that some of the most stupid people have a college degree, a masteral degree, a doctorate degree, may even have graduated from difficult to enter to schools with very high grades -- yet one can be very stupid at the same time. There are varying degrees of stupid and yet we do realize that stupid people come in different forms and not just mere academic deficiencies. The same can apply to how math education is carried out -- learning many math subjects but never learning financial and economic literacy. Besides, how can you learn basic economics that well if you just learned it for one year in the graduating year? Well geometry has i...

The Quest For Multilingual Education In The Philippines

I just thought about that I wrote about the decline of English proficiency among Filipinos . I also remembered about my proposal to prioritizing learning English more while endorsing Nihonggo and Mandarin over Spanish . While I don't want to abolish Spanish classes entirely as an elective but shouldn't we at least endorse both Nihonggo and Mandarin for starters? Maybe we can also add Hangul to the curriculum. Also, Tagalog itself is not the culprit for low English proficiency but rather when overemphasizing on it has become a root problem. Why I really don't like the song "Ako'y Isang Pinoy" (I'm a Filipino) is because it really tends to discourage the learning of foreign languages especially when it brags, "Ako'y hindi sanay sa wika ng mga banyaga/Ako'y Pinoy na mayroong sariling wika.". Said line means "I'm not proficient in the language of foreigners/I'm a Filipino with my own language." So really since when did Tag...

Why Many Filipinos Are Losing Their Edge In English Proficiency

This isn't surprising. While I usually take stuff from the local news networks such as ABiaS-CBN and GMA-7 with a grain of salt -- this one should be a real eye opener. GMA News had just revealed it yesterday that English proficiency isn't as good as it used to be. More and more Filipinos are indeed losing their English proficiency -- it should be very alarming, right? The problem has to be the over-emphasis of Filipino thanks to  Tagalog imperialism . The problem has become how one's proficiency in Tagalog has been overemphasized in contrast to one's proficiency in Mathematics, any field of science, foreign languages that's widely used (such as Mandarin and Nihonggo) -- should the intellectual greatness of a Filipino be measured by the ability to speak Tagalog? I would say no because you can't use Tagalog when you apply for better paying jobs abroad, to entertain foreigners and while the language itself is part of the Filipino identity -- you need to a...

Leni Loud Robredo's 40 x 4 = 1,600 Will Wreck Society

Mathematics is part of the important building blocks of society together with quantitative science, right? I thought about some Mathematics subjects that are commonly used to those that are used by more difficult jobs. Now, let's imagine how 40 x 4 = 1,60 0 would totally wreck society. If you've at least studied differential calculus then you do know how to apply basic everyday use of derivatives. A good example is that you have zero units vs. the maximum number of units .vs the number of units that will achieve the greatest yield or profit. In basic physics -- you may want to consider the optimal speed or velocity of a machine vs. the maximum speed or velocity of the machine. Chemists would be using it in the subject of stoichiometry to make sure that they don't blow up the laboratory. But with Leni Loud's math then you can imagine the mayhem. Since I'm no chemist or physicist then I'll talk about profit maximization. A good example would be that the actual nu...

Raoul Manuel's Poor Justification For UP Students' Habitual Absences To Attend Rallies

It's a shame really how cum laude student regent from Iloilo namely Raoul Manuel is a fool in real life. It's a fact that many stupid people today are in fact HIGHLY EDUCATED. I remembered how people would use their college degrees or even post-graduate degrees to say that they aren't stupid. Now I'd like to post something towards Manuel's poor logic that deserved a lot of beating from Netizens  to this highly educated idiot! He may have entered a hard to enter school (University of the Philippines), he may have graduated cum laude but he's still a fool or gago nonetheless when it comes to real life. He's right to say that it's not President Duterte's money and the people's money. However, he's once again raising up imaginary issues. He's once again saying President Duterte is a tyrant based on his imagination without proof. Maybe the only proof he has come from the leftist organizations such as Bayad Muna, Kabataan Partylist or bia...

You Can't Teach Math Or Learn How To Apply It Without Dealing With Hypothetical Scenarios

Well it's time to go back to crazy old man who's a Math major. So it's really something to say that he says, "I don't deal with hypothetical scenarios -- I only deal with the actual." The statement is laughable for this reason -- how can you teach Mathematics WITHOUT a hypothetical scenario? Besides, part of applied higher Mathematics (namely in the area of statistics) is the use of a hypothesis testing since it is part of the daily scientific method. You have to observe, question, formulate hypothesis, experiment, analyze data and conclude -- which you can't have the experiment if you don't have the hypothesis. It would be stupid to simply teach Math without knowing how it's applied. Perhaps one of the reasons why students tend to loathe Math can be rooted on, "How am I going to apply it." I admit, I used to hate higher Math a lot because I didn't find the beauty of it in the job of others. But the more I got outside my Math-loa...
