I'm mad at China as a POLITICAL ENTITY but not the Chinese people as a whole. it was revealed at that earlier episode of an ongoing Chinovela called Make My Heart Smile has an alleged slur scene. The leading guy arrogantly tells the leading lady that her dress is like that of a Filipino maid. No surprise is that there are already BUTTHURT statements against the Chinovela for the statement. The incident caught me off-guard while giving me an idea for a Chinese New Year post. Yup, I really laughed just reading the post about it . This isn't really too surprising if you can remember the outrage in Hong Kong (last 2015) concerning the "offensive" textbooks? I was amazed at how the book really made them mad when the textbook promoted Filipinos as "domestic helpers". What did they want to be portrayed as? Conquerors of Hong Kong? Some places in the Philippines are now under General Community Quarantine (GCQ). It's because the government needs to have some revenues and some businesses are allowed to operate at half a workforce. However, GCQ can also mean  Get Cremated Quickly . If there's the problem of Filipinos with the " feeling oppressed " mentality then there's also the problem of Filipinos with the wrong kind of sympathy. There's the statement that says, "Mahirap ka na, mapag-aksaya ka pa." which means "You're already poor yet you are still wasteful." in English. This is one of the biggest problems among the lower class Filipinos. This should be a real issue when you've got Filipinos who are already considered poor or working class yet: Buying an airconditioner when you're not willing to or can't pay higher for electricity. It's really more than about time that Senator Antonio Trillanes IV's pardon for the Oakwood Mutiny gets reversed. It's baffling to how former president Noynoy Aquino could pardon him for involvement in the infamous Oakwood Mutiny during the time of House Speaker Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo. Mutiny is a serious crime and should have been a ground for him not to sit in politics in the first place. Instead, he and his cohorts such as Gary Alejano  are even granted pardon. Alejano became a congressman while Trillanes became a senator. It's only appropriate that the pardon granted by Noynoy should be reversed by President Duterte. The Oakwood Mutiny is not the only act that should get him arrested. He may already have  several charges of sedition  that can be used against him.
