Understanding The Dengvaxia Incident And Why COVID-19 Vaccinations Must Go On

Nope, it's Dr. Flordeliza Fernandez Grana, not Leni Loud Robredo There are still some people hesitant to get the COVID-19 jab, right? One such incident was the Dengvaxia incident happened. Unfortunately, reading comprehension is REALLY LOW in the Philippines . People just comment and comment away - that's why I don't bother feeding the trolls like Benign0 does in his site, Get Real Philippines , which he seems to enjoy feeding trolls thus shrinking his credibility. Besides, I'm just going to continue marking stupid comments as spam because it's a waste of time replying to them or risk having a warzone like Benign0's site.  Disclaimer: I'm not a doctor. This is another common sense post sharing some medical information based on some research. Please do some research before you react. I simply share some information for my posts.   It would be best to do a review on the Dengvaxia incident on what REALLY HAPPENED  I remembered some time ago when Atty. Persida R...

Dengvaxia Fiasco Would Have Had Much Lesser Chances Of Happening Under A Parliamentary System

As the Dengvaxia fiasco is still going on -- this incident proves one thing that government frameworks do matter . It's time to consider first world countries and which countries do perform better. As much as I advocate for opening up the economy but I don't think it should stop there. Remaining in a unitary-presidential system may cause the Philippines to have a 14 day traffic or more in EDSA or any place in Imperial Manila. Now it's time to consider how a parliamentary system could have lessened the chances of the Dengvaxia fiasco.  According to  CNN Philippines  --   here's something that former president Noynoy Aquino said concerning Dengvaxia said that inadvertently showed why the presidential system is faulty: Aquino, who attended the joint hearing of the Senate Blue Ribbon, Health, and Finance panels into the Dengvaxia vaccine controversy as a resource person, said no questions were raised when the now-controversial vaccine was bought during his term....

Making Sense Of Dengue Expert Dr. Scott Halstead's Statements On #DengGate

Right now, I read some news which was unfortunately taken out of context when Dr. Scott Halstead has spoken about the whole Dengvaxia fiasco. GMA-7 has reported that Dengvaxia diagnosis can't be based alone on autopsy -- which itself may be true but most people still want to use the report to discredit Atty. Persida Rueda V. Acosta's current investigations. I think Atty. Acosta herself can use some of these hints which were left behind by the 87-year-old doctor. Here's what he said that may actually show reckless administration and what the Public Attorney's Office needs to consider in their latest forensic investigations: Halstead said that for any child who receives Dengvaxia doses and later dies, two things have to be considered before concluding that the two are connected: unequivocal evidence that the infection was caused by dengue virus, which can be done by either virus isolation or identification of NS1; and knowing if the particular individual was giv...

DengVaxia Would Have Probably Killed 99.9% Of Filipinos Under President Roxas And Vice President Trillanes

It's no secret that the Dengvaxia investigation is still conducted by the Public Attorney's Office . On the other hand, I wonder how bad will the Dengvaxia fiasco if both Mar Roxas and Antonio Trillanes IV became the Philippines' president and vice president . It's time to think about what could happen. Dr. Janet Garin will be gone so think of what if President Roxas and Vice President Trillanes appointed even more stupid people. The Dengvaxia mass vaccination will continue but it won't just go to children. Soon enough, there will be mass vaccination for teenagers and adults. This wouldn't just limit to College graduates or newbie working professionals but also long time workers. Hmmm... maybe even your supervisors and managers will all get vaccinated too, right? I couldn't imagine the Philippines becoming a ghost country. Just reading the reports of children dying from DengVaxia is already bad enough. How much more of these two decided to continu...

It's No Surprise That Atty. Persida V. Rueda-Acosta Is Targeted By The Real Fake News Spreaders

It's no surprise that Atty. Persida V. Rueda-Acosta a true public servant has been maligned yet again by fake news spreaders. Whether it's calling her "way more biased than Atty. Chito Gascon" to her being just being "talk and talk"-- the list can go on. It's not surprising that Abante TNT has now even made such a maligning statement that Public Attorney's Office has allegedly said that there's no evidence that Dengvaxia is fatal -- which I'm translating it for the sake of non-Tagalog speakers.  What does Abante TNT mean? Abante means forward. TNT means Tunay Na TABLOID or "Truly Tabloid" in the English language. I remembered a couple of my high school journalism classes that defined tabloid journalism as the following according to Study.com : If you've ever been to a grocery store, you've seen them: the tabloids. These are magazines focused on salacious celebrity gossip and sensational news, which you know must be...

#PAO's Handling Of #DengGate Makes It The Real #CHR In Practice

It's disgusting to how Chito Gascon apparently shows very little concern for the Dengvaxia victims. So who's the real Commission on Human Rights chairperson right now in practice? If your answer is Atty. Persida V. Rueda-Acosta then you've got that right. Atty. Acosta is investigating all human rights violations whether they are done by state agents or not. It doesn't take a political scientist to understand the basic fact that  CHR should go after all human rights violations -- and not just those committed by state agents. I read how so many victims of DengVaxia went to the Public Attorney's Office on Monday . This is where I'd like to ask -- does Gascon even deserve his budget or even to be called attorney? He's an attorney but he's one who doesn't live up to his name or his current position. It looks like that PAO itself has inadvertently become the Commission on Human Rights instead of the actual office where Gascon is currently the chairma...

Which Is More Important: Dengvaxia's Danger VS. CRappler's Crap?

It just gets tiresome to think about how the Liberal Party always has frequently its misplaced priorities. One of these now involve the problem of Dengvaxia vs. Rappler. Let's face it which is more important? CRappler's license at the SEC as a media company or the Dengvaxia case? CRappler a company which is one-sided journalism (while lying that they are "independent") or would it be the Dengvaxia case?  This really reminds me of the whole problem of Jim Paredes and Raissa Espinosa-Robles . Instead of tracing back the Dengvaxia problem to where it began (with their idol, Noynoy Aquino) they decided to that's right - blame it on President Duterte. Just when did the Dengvaxia enter? Noynoy or President Duterte? Hmmm... trying to avoid the blame again aren't they? And where's their move for the whole Dengvaxia fiasco? Why no comment on the severity of the issue? Please, stop giving me the usual excuse that Atty. Chito Gascon loves to make about that CHR ...

#DengGate: Atty. Persida V. Rueda-Acosta Knows Human Rights Better Than Atty. Chito Gascon

If someone really is doing the job as a Commission on Human Rights chairperson --  it's not Atty. Chito Gascon but Atty. Persida V. Rueda-Acosta Acosta . While Atty. Gascon only makes noise whenever it's convenient for him -- we have Atty. Acosta who is doing fair investigations. You can think of how she handled Kian Delos Santos' slay case  with much less biases all the while CHR is asleep because its chairman is asleep. Atty. Acosta knows that all human rights violations must be investigated. So why is the Public Attorney's Office stuck doing the check and balance work that CHR should be doing? It's no thanks to Atty. Gascon's lousy leadership. Yes, the problem is Atty. Gascon and not CHR. CHR just needs to be cleaned up . He should have investigated all human rights violations and put the rights of law abiding citizens first over that of criminals. Instead, he defends the guilty and leaves the innocent whenever it's convenient.  Right now, we ne...

Who Would Like To Volunteer Injecting DengVaxia Into Jim Paredes And Raissa Robles?

It's really amazing how Jim Paredes still wants to blame President Duterte for everything wrong. One has to use a bit of historical common sense. What he's doing is a chronological error where he thinks that former president Noynoy Aquino has nothing to do with Dengvaxia. But under whose term did Dengvaxia enter and do you think Dr. Ubial would have not received it. Here's what Get Real Philippines has to say about Old Man Jim's illogical conclusion: What really should be discussed is the process that led to this debacle. Processes after all, transcend governments and are, supposedly, anchored to policy and legislation. So far, the only process issue proposed as having contributed to a health debacle that has allegedly put more than 700,000 Filipino children at risk is the manner with which the vaccine was procured and funded. Recall that Senator Richard Gordon earlier pointed out that procurement of the Dengvaxia vaccine by the DOH was not done using Congress-a...

Does Cheato Gascon Think That #DengGate Is Not A Human Rights Violation?

It's time to think about the uselessness of Cheato Gascon as the head of the Commission on Human Rights . The problem is how can the supporters of Gascon himself can still think that CHR should only investigate charges done by police and military . With that in mind, I'd like to raise up some issues based on common sense that you don't need a political science degree (which I don't have either) to understand the basics. What issue is that? It's that human rights violators can mean anyone who violates your rights to life, privacy, health, education and whatever rights are granted for your daily living. It's awful to think how Gascon is silent on issues that matter. I mean, does he even know what his job as the chairperson of CHR is supposed to do? Here's what Lawphil.net has to say which should be a huge hollow block thrown at Gascon's stupidity: 1.) Investigate, on its own or on complaint by any party, all forms of human rights violations involvi...

#OrasNaPosasNa For Former DOH Secretary Janette Garin?

One of the biggest casualties and incidents of impunity on the rise during the Noynoying Years  is with former DOH Secretary Janette Garin . I remembered writing about her incident of the deworming process gone wrong. Something else slipped and it looks like Stinky Soliman  has another person to join her. If Stinky was giving expired relief goods then should we mention that Garin herself might be possibly guilty of malpractice?  It turns out that the dengue vaccine isn't ready yet, wasn't it? It looks like Dengvaxia should be halted as it's not yet even ready. After Sanofi Pasteur's advisory, what's worse is the follow-up from Dr. Anthony Leachon says that those students who got the dengue shots may have the possibility of getting severe dengue for the rest of their lives. Wow, that's a huge blow isn't it? So really, first expired deworming tablets and then untested dengue vaccine? This is a really huge problem she's got there. This should ...
