"Buntis Faib Legacy" Getting Edited From 90 Episodes To MERELY 20 Episodes For Japan Ought To Tell Ya Something's Wrong With The Pacing

I don't even know why I bothered watching that ABOMINATION called Voltes V Legacy -- which some joke is called Buntis Faib Legacy. I was surprised to hear that Japan would dub it. However, this detail from Orends Range made me LMAO to huge levels: The official Japanese Voltes V Legacy website announced that the series will finally make its Japanese TV premiere on TOKYO MX this November, but there's a catch. The series, which originally ran for 90 episodes in the Philippines, will have a special Japanese TV cut called "Ultra Electromagnetic Respect TV Version" in which the show's 90 episodes gets boldly re-edited into 20 episodes. Yes, you read it right. Buntis Faib Legacy isn't going to get all of its 90 episodes aired. Instead, Toei would be editing them to become JUST 20 episodes! The show has been slowed down to super painful levels . Watching the love triangle (or square, because Eva lusts after Steve) makes me raise Chojin Sentai Jetman's love polygon...

What Filipinos Can Learn From The Rise Of Modern Japan

Today is the beginning of the Reiwa Era and the first day of the month. One can welcome the new era by remembering how Modern Japan rose from the ashes of Imperial Japan as a lesson to the Philippines. Let's do a bit of review of basic Japanese history. The collapse of Imperial Japan was on September 2, 1945. Emperor Hirohito declared himself that he wasn't divine -- the very reason of shame for Imperial Japanese that caused massive suicide. The new era for Japan was born on 1947 -- two years after the collapse of Japan. The Meiji Constitution was given major changes in favor for the ever-evolving Constitution of Japan. It had its first on 1947 then it evolved to fit into modern times. The Japanese Monarchy is now but the symbolic as the National Diet (formal assembly) of Japan is the one that makes the powers. How the Parliamentary system made Japan what it is today The Japanese knew for one thing that systems do matter . The Japanese Parliament or National Diet of Japan...

IBC-13 Should Consider Airing Ryusoulger Instead Of Re-Airing Dragon Quest

IBC-13's plan to re-air classic Anime and Tokusatsu is just stupid for this reason -- it's already 2019 and the 90s children have probably moved on with newer stuff. As much as I hate the dubs of GMA-7 and ABiaS-CBN but they did survive by actually airing new school K-Drama (though I think it needs a break and air other foreign stuff) and not some old shows all over again. But I still facedesked at the Meteor Garden (2011) re-air a few years ago. Right now, I have a new idea that was taken from Ukiyaseed : Like all Super Sentai shows that aired in South Korea, it will go under the Power Rangers label and will air as "Power Rangers Dino Soul". The series will make its Korean debut in August 2019. It is unknown if South Korea will skip Kaitou Sentai Lupinranger vs. Keisatsu Sentai Patranger as Uchu Sentai Kyuranger was the last Super Sentai Series that aired in the country under the name of Power Rangers Galaxy Force.  IBC-13 can actually learn from that one...

Learning From The Japanese Children Cleaning Up Their Classrooms Scenario

This is one of the things I'd like to see get emphasized and implemented in the Philippines. I really hate to think how Filipinos have to complain about their fellow Filipinos who have the hacienda mentality. There's the statement that, "May janitor naman diba?" or "Isn't there a janitor?" whenever they just throw their garbage anywhere. But such is not the case in Modern Japan with how they handle the educational system.   Children are taught the basic life values they need to become responsible citizens by cleaning up for at least 20 minutes (though I'd extend it by ten more minutes) as part of the routine. Then they are made to serve lunch. This is something that a new generation of Filipinos can learn as part of changing the educational system. Before parents complain that it's "child abuse" then they are probably following the mindset of a culture of impunity . Children are supposed to learn to do menial work such as cleanin...

I Wish Beverly Caimen Made Her Debut With Kyuranger's Opening

As Kyuranger comes to an end and Kamen Rider Build is barely its first half - I just want to throw in a bit of a joke that I wish wasn't a joke from my head. I want to imagine what if PANDORA featuring Beverly Caimen made their debut as early as February 12, 2017 instead of September 3, 2017. While it's good to have her debut in Kamen Rider Build but I still can't help but wish it were Kyuranger instead. If it did, I think it could really be a big dirty finger at Philippine TV networks that despise real talented Filipinos while promoting a culture of mediocrity . It would really be an earlier blast at the mediocrity encouraged by the Philippine entertainment industry. Should I mention it's really reaching that unreachable star if she sang Kyuranger's opening theme.  The lyrics of  Lucky Star  in English are as follows: Woo Oh Oh… Looking at the sky, we wonder how many stars there are Feeling frustrated about not being able to count them all, we go...

Congratulations To Beverly Caimen For Performing At #ASEAN2017 Summit Gala

Beverly Caimen is making a name for herself with her talent and hard work. Here's what I read from UkiyaSeed that's making me say I'm proud of her accomplishment: Filipina J-Pop star BEVERLY recently returned to the Philippines to performed at the ASEAN Summit 2017's gala event yesterday. She revealed in an interview with CNN Philippines' The Source, that she finds performing in the nerve wracking and an honor as she performed in front of world leaders and ASEAN leaders. She performed two original songs in the event, one in Japanese and in English. These songs are "Ima mo Anata ga..." and her latest single, "Future", respectively. As for how she was chosen to perform in the event, it was because she met Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte during the time he visited in Japan when she was invited by the Japanese First Lady Akie Abe to perform during the President's Japanese visit. In the same interview, she also talked about how she learn...

What Can The Philippines Learn From Japan's And South Korea's Success In The Midst Of Their Depreciated Currencies

It's common to panic during the phenomenon called currency devaluation. It's no secret that the Philippines has hit its peso devaluation  late in former president Noynoy Aquino's term up to President Duterte's term. Before you raise your pitchforks at any of them (or even blame Gloria ) let's try and understand the basics of currency devaluation. Also, let's try to think about why some countries like Japan and South Korea have devalued currencies lower than the peso yet they are far stronger economies. How is Japan's Yen and South Korea's won weaker to the Philippine peso? Let's take a look at the Philippine exchange rate using the Money Converter  website: 1 Japanese Yen is equivalent to PHP 0.46693 1 South Korean Won is equivalent to PHP 0.045010 At first, it makes you think, "WOOHOO PANALO ANG PESO!" or "WOOHOO THE PESO IS THE WINNER!" but let's think of another area. Is the Philippines really better because its pe...

Toei, Tsubaraya, Toho, Etc. Don't Need To Pay Filipino Tokusatsu Fans To Bash Teleseryes

Is it me or is the trend of accusing your fellow Filipino of being a "bayaran ni (insert name)" isn't it? Whether it's the classic Marcos vs. Aquino feud (and neither side is worth siding with) or just anything I think there's the tendency to accuse anyone of being bayaran of certain people. I even want to imagine that some teleserye viewers are probably accusing their peers or relatives who watch Tokusatsu and bash teleseryes as being "bayaran" of companies like Toei, Tsubaraya and Toho. I love this bringing this meme up whenever it comes to people who say that they're  watching teleseryes in the name of "nationalism" . Some of them may even say if you watch Tokusatsu you are "siding with the enemy" never mind that World War 2 is over and the Empire of Japan has long been dead . There's always all the common, irritating ways that Filipino Toku fans are heckled by teleserye viewers  such as telling them to move to Japan. ...

Seven Ways That Some Filipinos Get Themselves Stuck In Nostalgia Land

It's a problem that some Filipinos have that they keep living in nostalgia. While nothing is wrong with nostalgia in this digital age or that some old fashioned values are still needed (such as respect for nature and family) but the problem of clinging to the past without considering the future is not healthy. 1.) Bringing up Imperial Japan when the empire has long been dead World War 2 is over and so is Imperial Japan . Why do some people just love to keep bringing up Japan during World War 2? Why are some old generation Filipinos still passing the same attitude of hatred down to their children and grandchildren and now great-grandchildren and beyond? They have to face it that while Imperial Japan indeed was an enemy to the Philippines but Modern Japan is allies with the Philippines and the United States.  Some people still want to keep thinking Imperial Japan is alive and well while still benefiting from Modern Japan's series of electronic products throughout...

It's Okay To Like Japanese Stuff But Don't Be Too Obsessed With It

As I said, I have nothing against liking Japanese stuff or adults who like Anime, Super Sentai (or any Tokusatsu) for the matter. I don't think it's childish for any guy in one's late 20s or early 30s to still watch Zyuohger or Kamen Rider Ghost. I'm now older than Nobuo Akagi but I can enjoy anything new from Tokusatsu if it gives me a really good story. I'd like to address the problem of liking Japanese culture too much. Japanese entertainment isn't always good as I learned it the hard way for the past few years. I could give an example of something that happened around this decade. Capcom is a Japanese company yet Marvel vs. Capcom 3 sucks out big time because it didn't take advantage of the seventh generation consoles' powers and left us with something mediocre. While I personally don't really like most of American entertainment that much these days but I can't deny that Japanese companies can suck too. As of late, I think a lot of Tokusat...

It's More Than Time To Address The Issue Of Filipino Weeaboos

Failipino Pride (being proud of the prevailing idiocy among Filipinos at the expense of every good Filipino) itself is already a problem. Let's also address the problem of Filipino weeaboos. Okay I get it the whole Filipino/Japanese war is over, I agree Imperial Japan is dead and Modern Japan is all that stands. But there's one problem that's also holding Filipinos back from any real progress within themselves is the weeaboo culture. I find it ironic how many Filipino weeaboos tend to complain about the problems of the Philippines which other Filipinos who want change also complain about. Filipino weeaboos are doing right and I highly commend them whenever they complain about the real garbage called Failipino TV especially with the idiocy of the network called  ABiaS-CBN , how orderly Japan is because a lot of their people know how to follow simple guidelines , how stupid the feeling mature crowd is, how the Cinderella mentality is destroying a lot of Filipino women an...

To Ultranationalistic Pinoys: The Empire Of Japan Has Long Been Dead

President Nobita Aquino greets Emperor Akihito and Empress Michiko From the news two days ago concerning how Bayan Muna  Bobo Muna protested against the arrival of Emperor Akihito and his wife Empress Michiko came. Their reason is as usual pretty stupid - they are fighting what might be best called as a non-existent imperialism. Their group agrees that it could cause the rise of Japanese militarism. From Manila Livewire , I have also read more garbage from the mouths of Bobo Muna that Japan may bring lopsided economic polices and false military promises. Do they think that they are still living in World War 2 and the Philippines is still part of the Empire of Japan? Puh-lease, the Empire of Japan has long been dead ever since World War 2 ended!
