Death Hoaxes Are NOT Funny

I remembered a few days ago that Shaina Garcia Magdayao was rumored dead from her hypothyroid (which is probably not severe) but she's actually ALIVE AND KICKING. Just because I think ABS-CBN and Rappler won't mean I'd automatically dismiss whatever truth they have to tell. In fact, both are actually RIGHT about Shaina Magdayao not being supposedly dead! Her Instagram proves her to be actually VERY MUCH ALIVE. Heck, the whole rumor is what it is - A BASELESS RUMOR but it's not a harmless one. Whoever wrote it (and haters gonna hate) should be held accountable for such unnecessary panic. I don't care who writes down a death hoax or who's the victim - it's NEVER FUNNY. Heck, even if the ones who "died" in the death hoax are the likes of Leah Navarro, Maria Ressa, Jover Laurio, or even Kris Aquino who I tend to hate way TOO MUCH - it's still not funny at all!  I don't know what's with this but is it me or is the prevalent humor in th...

Useless Daily Conflicts In The Philippines Are Also Caused By Balat-Sibuyas Filipinos

It's a sad fact but many Filipinos are very balat-sibuyas or onion-skinned . This means that the person is too sensitive to criticisms, disagreements and insults. This may even result to throwing a temper tantrum in public, writing terrible comments, threatening the welfare of the other person or even using physical acts of violence against people. What may have been aggravated the fight any further because somebody is pretty much onion-skinned. That can also happen  while calling the kettle black . Let's discuss how having a balat-sibuyas attitude is actually a source of useless daily conflicts.

How Can Filipinos Improve If Irresponsible Journalism Has No Appropriate Consequences And Penalties Against It?

After hearing Rodrigo Duterte make a point against irresponsible journalists, I felt like that it's about time somebody really got so vocal about it. While there's the freedom of speech and expression but like every freedom, there's restriction. Free trade countries may allow you 100% ownership as a foreign investor BUT you are still set to follow their local rules or you're out. The same goes with journalism. While there's the freedom to express one's views on the matter but sensationalizing just about anything or violation of other people's privacy is against the proper ethics of journalism. Whether most Filipinos like it or not the truth is ABiaS-CBN is creating a culture of dysfunction in the Philippines . Irresponsible reporters like Korina Sanchez Roxas (who fortunately didn't become the first lady) and Raissa Robles (or Raissa Rubbles) really feed the monster called the culture of dysfunctional behavior among Filipinos. Even just a few da...

Many Filipinos' Love For Gossiping About Other People Prove They Have Small Minds!

I have noticed with the many stupid people I met and meet, I ask them what's their favorite show. Some of them mention their favorite show is Kris TV or in the past, the show of the late Inday Badiday to name a few shows. If they are watching anything imported, they are usually focus on gossip shows rather than educational shows. One possible line that might have been said by Kris TV viewers might be, "Oh good Sineskwela is no longer in ABS-CBN. Kris TV is much better and my child will learn more from it." It's not just the TV show but what you hear so often. Why not try riding a jeepney or a bus and notice what most Filipinos love to talk about. It reminded me one of them only talks about people. One of them even said, "Well talking about events and ideas is for small brainers." Wow, just wow and from what I have observed, many Filipinos have a very wrong definition of smart  which is none other than the culture of anti-intellectualism . This kind of att...

Many Filipinos Are Very Insensitive Towards Others But Are Too Sensitive About Themselves!

It's a real problem in the Philippines that many Filipinos are very insensitive towards others but they are very sensitive about themselves. You may think about the most recent elevator and escalator mishaps in China... Google them and find out that there are many Filipinos who are posting very insensitive comments against the Chinese people. I just thought instead of saying like, "We better be careful that those incidents don't happen in the Philippines." they instead say, "Horray China is going down! Mabuhay ang Pilipinas!" while hypocritically indulging in Tanduay or eating at Jollibee. The amount of insensitivity towards others is just very alarming. I always thought about how many Filipinos indulge in the Failipino sense of humor . they are a group of insensitive people when it comes to other people. I always noticed how there's usually a smile in their faces only when others are miserable. Doesn't that remind you of, "If I'm not happ...

Is The Philippines Really A Nation Of Happy People?!

Above is a picture in Tondo that I am using from Dennis Lee's blog . Considering that the State Of the Nation Address should have been in Carcar, Cebu  - Iwant to write this post because the people of the Philippines are like ampaw or puffed up rice or cereal that floats on the milk. In short, they are out of touch with the reality of the situation. People are having their mental opium  and overdose of pain relievers . At first you think the people in the picture are happy, they are just having a misguided notion of happiness . Worse I remembered some stupid Murican said, "Well I love the Filipino people, they are happy in spite of being poor." does not even realize the reality of the situation. What he does not realize is that behind the silly smile of the Philippines is a sad nation . Not all laughter is mirth and a smile is not always because you are happy. I tried to think about people who have mental breakdown or a rude awakening may laugh boisterously but that...

How The Philippines Can Relate To The Illustrative Story Of The Boy Who Cried Wolf

Do you remember the story of the boy who cried wolf?  Depending on which version you read - the boy either dies or he is submitted to face the consequences of his own actions.  He always threw the wolf false alarm because he felt it was "boring" and he always had a good laugh whenever the villagers came to his help when there was no wolf at all.  By the time the wolf came, nobody helped him because they are sick of his false alarm.  The illustration can be seen like this - the sheep are the Filipino civilians, the boy is your average Failipino and the villagers are the Filipinos who are in charge of public safety. While the story of the "Boy Who Cried Wolf" was not a true story and it was just an illustration of a false alarm but today, it's not just boys who cried wolf.  You also have men who cried wolves or women who cried wolves or girl who cried wolves.  In short it's already the person who cried wolf.  I hate to admit it but the Failipino sense...

I've Observed Eight Evil Ways On How Failipino Humor Can Be So Offensive!

It's no secret that the Philippines is indeed one of the places where an offensive sense of humor is the norm right? It's all done in the name of " democracy " indeed which sadly, they only have a dysfunctional sense of freedom. Such people think I'm a Communist or a Nazi whenever I fire foul at their offensive sense of humor. The offensive jokes done by many Filipinos is best called as "The Failipino sense of humor" because they fail to consider the mental, financial and/or physical welfare of the person who is the target of their foul sense of humor. 1.) You ask a serious question, they give you non-serious answers I could remember the time that I needed to have my documents processed and the working student only kept answering me nonsense. Out of anger, I decided to get even with her by actually choking her with my bare hands until she answered properly. Another incident may involve them giving very vague answers like "siya" (which ca...
