Kim Chiu's Win At The Seoul International Drama Awards 2024 Means NOTHING Unless ABiaS-CBN Supports Important Constitutional Reforms

First, I'd like to say congratulations to Kim Chiu even if I don't like ABiaS-CBN. I still think both the late Noynoy Aquino and former president Rodrigo R. Duterte did the RIGHT THING about the ABiaS-CBN franchise. It's time for that network to STOP GETTING BABIED! It's typical for Filipinos to scream PENOY PRAYD (though Kim Chiu is a Chinese Filipino and some Filipinos are still racist) whenever a Filipino makes it big ABROAD. However, it's also very typical for Filipinos to cry foul whenever talks about allowing foreign investors to own 100% of their SHARES or to treat them like INVADERS. I wouldn't be surprised if some morons think the Philippines is now "invading" South Korea! I wrote about Shaina Garcia Magdayao joining the Busan Festival . Is there anything wrong with that? ABiaS-CBN has every right to join it. However, the problem still exists in ABiaS-CBN's MASSIVE FAILURE OF THE MIND . They should be thankful that Duterte didn't comp...

How "Lawless Lawyer" Might Help Provide A Useful Insight In Solving The UNSOLVED Vizconde Massacre Case

The Vizconde Massacre hit on June 30, 1991. I always thought that Hubert Jeffry Webb was guilty. However, after being told that more than 10 years were wasted, I decided to Google and discovered that law and order aren't as simple as they look. Instead, it's a very complex process. After researching and finding the documentary Give Up Tomorrow which focuses on how Paco Larranaga and six others were WRONGFULLY ACCUSED - I researched Hubert's plight. I watched Lawless Lawyer on Netflix during the pandemic and wrote a crazy review .  I never noticed that actress Lee Hye Young (who acted as Jun Pyo's mother in the FAILED Boys Over Flowers ) looks like Atty. Amelita G. Tolentino -- the very same woman who did the Vizconde Massacre trial. I wonder if Hye Young was chosen because she looks like that incorrigible woman. Even more, the people in the fictional location of Kisaeng lived with trial by publicity and a twisted sense of justice, and people discover the HARD WAY that ...

"Vagabond Season 2" Filming In The Philippines Should Be Looked As An OPPORTUNITY, NOT A THREAT

One time, Senator Unggoy Estrada nearly got into hot water for his dumb proposal (which he later recanted) namely banning K-Dramas . What teleseryes need is COMPETITION with other TV dramas - not more protectionism. Whether we want to admit it or not - local Philippine TV networks are KEPT ALIVE through badly dubbed imported TV dramas. A recent update is that Vagabond Seaosn 2 will film in the Philippines . I'm either surprised (or not). Suzy Bae has a couple of shows that made it big in the Philippines such as Uncontrollably Fond on GMA-7 and Dream High on ABiaS-CBN. Lee Seung Gi is remembered not just for a couple of K-Dramas such as Shining Inheritance and My Girlfriend is a Gumiho . Seung Gi is also remembered for being Gong Cha's endorser for some time. Many Filipinos probably still remember those shows. A possible cause of the delays was the Legacy Virus pandemic. I could imagine that Koreans were treated like the mutants in the X-Men: The Animated Series "Time Fugit...

ABiaS-CBN Has Participated In The #BusanInternationalFilmFestival Since 2022, SO WHAT?!

After breaking into some trolling with that idiot Benign0 (who should've learned from Australia to talk how Filipinos can improve) - I'm looking at this update. It's ABiaS-CBN joining the Busan International Film Festival 2023. It's because Lav Diaz has his film Essentials of the Lake which was in 2023. The film is most likely ABiaS-CBN being vindictive. Is Diaz trying to make the same move with the movie A Dangerous Life (and I bet he might end up directing A Dangerous Life 2 which might end up getting rated COMEDY ). There was a 2022 film called When the Waves Are Gone which had Shaina Garcia Magdayao's ex-boyfriend John Lloyd Cruz (resulting in those lockdown jokes again).  Yes, events are back again as the Legacy Virus has become endemic. Some people still advise to wear masks in enclosed spaces. Now, we have the star-studded cast which has various South Korean celebrities . There was participation also last October 10, 2022 , which is also Suzy Bae's birthd...

Richard "Lucifer" Hoydurian Dares Say ABiaS-CBN Entertainment Is At Par With K-Dramas

Is it me or does "Lucifer" strike with yet another idiotic argument again? I'm calling Richard Foronda Heydarian (or Hoydurian) "Lucifer" because he strikingly resembles Tom Ellis of the Netflix series Lucifer . Okay, enough of the jokes, and I'm going to really write this post in response. It's amazing how "Lucifer" himself had a video called "Parliamentary Chaos". Now, this one really makes me laugh when he said that, ABiaS-CBN has had good quality films and entertainment that match Koreanovelas and other foreign telenovelas. Wait... WUT? That's why I'm laughing right now. Did "Lucifer" himself watch the K-Drama called Glitch on Netflix (maybe, in some dark lair of his) thinking that Jeon Yeo Bin and Jin A Nana are Angel Locsin Colmenares-Arce and Shaina Garcia Magdayao? Please, both Korean actresses lack the sexy body (and I'll probably LMAO if I saw both girls in bikinis) that their Filipino doppelgangers hav...

Teleserye Producers And Cast Members Have No One But THEMSELVES To Blame As To Why K-Dramas Are Defeating Them Overall

Senator Unggoy Estrada is one of the reasons why I badly support the parliamentary system. A parliamentary system will reduce monkeying meaning people like Unggoy are bound to either shape up or ship out. Just don't mind what that Jason VOORHEES guy is writing with his terrible misinformation (which I think he believes in because it's his COMFORT ZONE) at Get Real Philippines. Unggoy would've probably been ousted from the legislative would've he said what he said in the Philippine Parliament. It would be receiving boos and hiss. Maybe, you might have both Prime Minister Bobong Marcos and Opposition Leader Leni Loud Robredo MUTUALLY AGREE to throw Unggoy out. Here are some of Unggoy's words of wisdumb  which he said according to Rappler: In my observation, if we continue showing these Koreanovelas, our citizens will support these Korean celebrities instead, while our Filipino artists lose jobs and income. Later, he ended up making this statement too which showed the...

Will ABiaS-CBN Adapt The Netflix KDrama "Glitch" As A Sequel To "Kokey"?

KDramas tend to get bastardized when the teleserye remake (or adaptation) happens, right? I wrote an article where I mentioned that  teleserye versions of imported shows feel like bootleg . Sure, they're not bootleg, legally speaking, but in QUALITY, they are BOOTLEG. With Glitch coming up on Netflix - I feel that ABiaS-CBN might really want to adapt the show and make it a sequel to their cheap flick Kokey .  I remembered how I made some jokes comparing Jin A Nana's face to Shaina Garcia Magdayao. The leading star is Jeon Yeo Bin. There's no news (yet) of a possible Vincenzo remake but jokes that Coconuts Martin would probably be involved were made. Coconuts' "hit show" Ang Probinsyano finally met its ending after seven agonizing years of terrible storytelling. Now, I could imagine the possibility of what could happen in a Kokey remake.  ABiaS-CBN created a teleserye known as Kokey in 2007. Later, ABiaS-CBN released a sequel of sorts called Kokey at Ako (Kok...

Why I'd Watch Netflix's "Cafe Minamdang" Over The Last Three Weeks Of "The Misadventures Of Cardo Dalisay"

Soompi Yup, it's really official that Ang Probinsyano,  or The Misadventures of Cardo Dalisay (as I love to call it) are coming to an end. I guess ABiaS-CBN is either out of ratings or there are not enough troll farms to give it "high views" . Right now, I feel the ratings of 2 Good 2 Be True on Netflix are most likely the result of troll farms . I guess the people of Sub-Saharan Africa lost interest in Ang Probinsyano too. Just hearing it's the last three weeks is making me laughing. The DAILY SCHEDULE is that CUMBERSOME for most people. I tend to binge-watch police drama since I watched Kill It and Justice a few years after they ended. However, not having a daily schedule (preferring to keep it WEEKLY) keeps things simple to avoid useless scenes, editing, and the like can be done better.  What I decided to do is to watch Cafe Minamdang instead. It would be certain that this week has the 11th to 12th episodes. There's a total of 18 episodes meaning that there m...

Why "Juvenile Justice" Currently In Netflix PH's Top Ten This Week Might Be A Good Thing

Looking for what to watch on Netflix can be a hard thing, right? Not all the recommendations are myp type especially if it's SJW or LGBT type. Sorry, no offense, okay? Anyway, I decided to think about how it might be a good thing that Juvenile Justice is in the top ten. Most of the Koreanovelas that enter the top ten are love stories or fantasy stories such as Kingdom Monarch or Bulgasal . It's fun to watch fantasy stories every now and then. However, I think realistic fiction such as Juvenile Justice can be better aside from every other crime-based K-Drama that will kick Coconuts Martin's sorry butt . Sure, one can enjoy how Vincenzo kicks the butt of Cardo Dalisay. However, this one may have more weight than how Vincenzo is showing how Ang Probinsyano is going stale from its overstay on television .  Presidento Rodrigo R. Duterte criticized vice president aspirant, Senator Kikoman Pangilinan, regarding the Juvenile Justice and Welfare Act . The law itself wasn't pro...

When ABiaS-CBN's Teleseryes Sought To Ride On The Popularity Of Supernatural K-Drama

Well, it's Halloween and I guess I decided to write an article I wanted to write years ago. I just finished watching Zombie Detective on Netflix. Meanwhile, I was remembering some of the supernatural K-Drama series that ABiaS-CBN aired such as Forbidden Love , Gu Family Book , My Girlfriend is a Gumiho , and Black (on the Kapamilya Channel).  I haven't watched these series in full though I could remember this dumb comment from Get Real Philippines some time ago from a certain Bongsky ahem Bobosky... I still laugh reading at this comment (and I'm laughing at how Benign0 of Get Real Philippines still keeps feeding the trolls) with the guy's taste. I'm still laughing at how this Bobosky thinks that La Luna Sangre is a much better show than Twilight or Vampire Diaries . Now, to really talk about how ABiaS-CBN has NO EXCUSE to do what they did with the Moonstone Trilogy because they aired some K-Drama along the way. Are they just simply airing K-Dramas to keep themselve...

The Moment Choi Jin Hyuk's Hiatus Due To COVID-19 Violation Puts ABiaS-CBN Celebrities To Shame

One of the news I've missed from South Korea is Choi Jin Hyuk's temporary hiatus because of his negligence . The reason was because Jin Hyuk went to meet an old friend in a bar that was illegally open. The result was that he was caught at around 8:20 P.M.  on October 6 this year. Rather than make excuses - Jin Hyuk decided to issue an apology, stepped away from the My Little Boy variety show, and will take the time to reflect on his actions. I guess he donated much of his money during 2020 but that didn't make him make an excuse for what he did. He knew he can't excuse himself and did the right thing for this blunder. The incident makes me think that it's a far fetch from what the ABiaS-CBN celebrities did last 2020. Well, who can EVER forget how the ABiaS-CBN celebrities were regarding their franchise? The ABiaS-CBN celebrities decided to act like the franchise was more important than defeating COVID-19 . The ABiaS-CBN celebrities gave their flood of rants while th...

How "Squid Game" Actually Reflects WEALTHY Communists Toying With People's Lives

It would be amusing that an article from Reuters (also in Rappler ) stated that a North Korean website compares Squid Game to South Korea's "brutal capitalist society" . I'm very much amazed at the stupidity of the comparison while I was checking for inspiration. It would be very amazing that the COMMUNIST site would compare Squid Game to South Korea. Yet, a video from Youtube has a North Korean defector who says otherwise. The whole Squid Game would have an allegory closer to that of communists playing with people's lives than South Korea's capitalist society. Just reading through the article made me think of the half-truths of the pro-North Korean sites. It can't be denied that there's the rich-poor gap. However, isn't it MUCH BIGGER in North Korea? Crash Landing on You had the picture of the communists with their luxury items. It's already a well-known fact that his majesty, Emperor Kim Jung Un, has a Mercedes Benz. It's like in the scen...

Why "Squid Game" Might Be A Brutal Eye Opener For Filipinos Who Love To Overspend And Desire Easy Money

I decided to check on Netflix  and found out that Squid Game is currently number one among Filipino viewers. The whole plot of the brutal survival horror series is regarding people who are trapped in TONS OF DEBT. I find the characters to be very annoying such as the main character. There seems to be some satisfaction to see some of them eventually gunned down by the organizers of the bloody game. They're made to play children's games but they die if they LOSE. Eventually, it's not all fun and games as the first episode shows that more than half of the contestants die. The blood and the gore might be a real eye-opener. All the contestants are trapped in mountains of debt.  Christmas is already near and I was thinking about the whole problem of debt traps. It's a common problem among Filipinos to be caught in the dangerous world of overspending. It's a very common scenario that not budgeting for the Christmas and the New Year is a very common problem among Filipinos ...
