Constitutional Reform Will Make Sure Much Less People Will Have To Work For 18 Hours A Day

I remembered one time I questioned if Vice President Leni Loud Robredo truly works for 18 hours a day . Apparently, some people do claim that they work 18 hours a day if they have several jobs because they are so poor. I remembered the first Ang Tanging Ina movie where Ai Ai Delas Alas' character, Ina Montecillo, has many jobs to support her 12 children. Leni Loud's claim of 18 hours a work makes me wonder does she also work at a carnival or some show while she was a congresswoman and now as a vice president? It would be absurd if Leni Loud becomes the president this 2022 and she turns out to be working in a carnival or other jobs at the same time. The movie may seem funny but Ina's lack of common sense can be traced to her being overly fatigue - something that persisted into Ang Tanging Ina N'yong Lahat which shows the perils of presidentialism .  What really causes poor people to work for 18 hours (or even more) a day? It's no secret that poverty is a real issue d...

Philippines Could've Been Richer If The 1987 Constitution Was A Parliamentary, Federal, FDI-Friendly Constitution

Happy 93rd birthday Fidel V. Ramos, right? One can't forget the pictures he had shared with the late Corazon C. Aquino who was set-up as a revolutionary president. However, a closer look at EDSA will reveal that Cory herself was a UNIFYING figure for the revolution. The real heads of the EDSA Revolution were Fidel V. Ramos and Juan Ponce-Enrile. Cory didn't lead EDSA but she served as the inspiration and unifying figure. The fact Cory was inexperienced in politics and a housewife so didn't qualify her to lead the nation. Instead, Cory herself was more fit to be the president of a PARLIAMENTARY SYSTEM. Why the president of a parliamentary system? Cory herself was the unifying figure during EDSA. The ones who led EDSA should've formed the Philippine Parliament. That would mean Cory herself would be the Head of State while Ramos himself acted as the Head of Government . Cory's responsibilities would be to open the door, to receive credentials, to give Filipinos someone...

Don't Wait UNTIL 2022 Before We Do ANY Major IMPROVEMENT In The Constitution

I remembered writing a Tagalog post on the need for Pinoy Ako Blog to learn about system change . Yet, their probable definition of "system change" is just to simply get the Yellowtards and other forces (such as Nacionalista Party) back in power. What's also very suspicious is that Jover Laurio herself may also be connected to COMMUNIST armed forces like Bayad Muna and Kayabangan Partylist . Jover herself not only gave some money to Renato Reyes Jr. of Bayad Muna but also was a speaker alongside Sarah Elgago at UP-Diliman Campus. Are the dots getting connected? Also, the big issue is that PAB wants to WAIT until 2022, hold your anger until 2022 in order to change the system? Why not CHANGE IT NOW? People tend to think system change is simply about changing of people running the system. Changing people doesn't equal changing the system. The workplace can go ahead and keep replacing people but it'll NEVER get better if the defective work system is never replaced. Yo...

Rather Than Whine #RIPDemocracy, Why Can't The Philippine Opposition Support #CorrectTheConstitution Instead?

Until now, it's very difficult to get over the joke essay I wrote that Philippine democracy "died" last September 21, 2017 , when it didn't. Trying to compare President Rodrigo R. Duterte to the REAL dictator that's Ferdinand E. Marcos Sr.  should be counted as a very USELESS exercise. For one, ABiaS-CBN is far from shut down . You still have ABiaS-CBN with cable and Internet. I'm still able to watch ANC and the misadventures of Carlo Dalisay in Ang Probinsyano are still airing on cable. The big stunt has always been that democracy has died. However, the big difference between Ninoy Aquino and his son Noynoy Aquino is that one faced a real dictatorship and the other is an imaginary dictatorship. Sure, President Rodrigo R. Duterte needs to control that mouth of his or him insulting Vice President Leni Loud Robredo recently was uncalled for. However, Leni Loud is still in her post, the critics are still criticizing (and Pignoy Ako Blog is still ONLINE), and un...

Is The Not-So-Novel Squatterman-COVID-19 Infection Caused By Republic Act 7279?

Well, it's no secret that Joey Lina is called "Squatterman". I remembered writing an article where I said the Philippines might as well thank him if ever the COVID-19 hits the Philippines . I wrote it before the epidemic got worse. Another article I wrote also tackled as to why pro-squatter people are NON-HUMANITARIAN and ANTI-ENVIRONMENT . Now, the Philippines will be beating out China and Indonesia. All the Opposition can do right now is #OustDuterte better yet tagged as #BlameDuterte. I may no longer be a Diehard Duterte Supporter, I would support any platform that Leni Loud Robredo gives to help fight in the epidemic (and competition should keep the government on its toes) but I think the whole blame Duterte rhetoric is getting old. I mean can ousting Duterte guarantee the Philippines will be back to normal? Can letting Leni Loud sit down as president guarantee that we'd have a better Philippines? Sadly, the same problems from previous administrations are carried ...

Dapat Pag-Aralan Na Ng Mga Ka-CoRRECT Movement Ang Mga Ka-PAB Tungkol Sa System Change

Ano? Hinintay pa ba sila ng 2022? Sabi pa ni Jover sa mga ka-PAB na "We need that anger to change the system."

COVID-19 Pandemic Proves 1987 Constitution Isn't The Best Constitution In The World

Somebody really needs to give Hilario Davide his pills or a slap in the face, right? I don't know why Davide would say that the 1987 Constitution is "the best in the world". Unfortunately, the recent COVID-19 pandemic has proved him dead wrong. I wonder is Davide watching the news right now and seeing it's not the best in the world as he thinks it is? He even calls federalism a leap to Hell. Yellowtards are insisting that the best solution is to #LetLeniLead. However, it wouldn't matter if Vice President Leni Loud Robredo suddenly steps up as president tomorrow, gets the mass testing kits, if Angat Buhay gets whatever it can IF the foundations it's given to work with are faulty. I'm getting skeptical of President Rodrigo R. Duterte but it doesn't mean #LetLeniLead is the panacea to cure the Philippines of COVID-19. The Dilawans should be focused on their alternative courses of action than just criticizing the administration. The issue of the 1987 C...

Constitutional Reform NEEDS To Be Addressed During This Legacy Virus Outbreak

Is it me or does Franklin Drilon get more irritating to listen to? I can't be sure if it's either greedy, stupidity, or a bad combination of BOTH that has made him suddenly voice out against charter change. Just remember a couple of times charter change got opposed namely during the Ramos Administration and the Arroyo Administration. He mentions about Filipinos not having food or jobs yet does he see (if ever) that charter change or better renamed as constitutional reform is badly needed? Why talk about constitutional reform? The Philippines NEEDS a new system and not just a change of officials . The misconceptions of the 3PA are against the parliamentary system as "perpetuating dictators" , federalism will empower warlords when it's feudalism, and that economic liberalization will cause an invasion of foreigners have led to the Philippines' still ONGOING decline. Yes, I'm even referring to a decline in this term too because of the SYSTEM. Worse, we...

How Can The Dilawans Demand For Honesty When They Are VERY Dishonest Themselves?

If you need to vote for any opposition then maybe Atty. Larry Gadon, Atty. Glenn Chong and Dr. Willie Ong will make the best ones -- NOT #OtsoDiretsoSaImpiyerno. Here's a comic strip of Atty. Gadon singing "Honesty" which really tells the truth of the matter is that it's such a lonely word -- the majority is usually so untrue. While Atty. Gadon sings -- Leni Loud Robredo gets annoyed as she polishes the Hocus PCOS Machine. Dilawans are indeed very blind like a certain stupid old man and his equally deranged wife. Both of them think that they are " older and wiser ". They want to fight fake news but they use several biased sources (that lie that they aren't biased and say that they are always truthful) such as Philippine Daily Inquirer, ABiaS-CBN, CRappler and now Pignoy Ako Blog -- sources that only fact-check whenever it's convenient while spreading lies for their own convenience. Besides, all Pignoy Ako Blog's Jover does is blab and blab wi...

Will The Dilawans Throw Leni Loud Robredo Away Should She Decide To Support CoRRECT Philippinines' Three Point Agenda?

We just need to face it that President Rodrigo R. Duterte was once a member of the Liberal Party -- now he's the Liberal Party's favorite punching bag. The way things look like why Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo and back then Fidel V. Ramos were maligned by the Liberal Party had to do with the desire to change the defective 1987 Constitution for a better one. Ramos and Gloria all fought for the agendas that would have turned the Philippines into a federal-parliamentary state with free trade. But those fights were ran down by fear-mongering Dilawans and Reds. Let's have the hypothetical scenario that Leni Loud Robredo would end up supporting the three point agenda. Let's just say one day she would say, "For the Dilawans to remain relevant -- let's alter the 1987 Constitution's stance to support Federalism, Parliamentary and Free Trade!" The chances are she would be as hated by the Dilawans as President Duterte is right now should she decide to flip-flop and...

How Evolving Federalism Can Help Spread Out Development

Although federalism is probably one area where I'm somewhat critical of because it's said, "There's no one size that fits all." for it or some federal countries are doing bad -- I just thought about how and why federalism is also needed. But take note that I want to make it the LAST PRIORITY because there's the first priority should be complete  economic liberalization . I was thinking about the second Mactan International Airport that had both the work of Noynoy Aquino and President Duterte. I was thinking how the problem of why it was left unfinished was not only because of Noynoy's term limit but rather the hurdles of the presidential term limits  but also shouldn't responsibility be delegated? That makes states or regions responsible for their airports? In short, a better way of handling it is that neither Noynoy nor President Duterte should be the one finishing all the airports! So what does PDP-Laban intend to do? Centralize all powers to Pr...

Government Office Corruption And Inefficiency Can Be Greatly Lessed Through The Parliamentary-Federal System

It's crazy for people to think that all the Philippines needs are change in people but not in a change in system . It's almost like saying that Cambodia should have remained in the Khmer Rouge or Germany should have remained in Nazism until today. The same can be said with the Philippines' current presidential-unitary system  where both systems turn out to be inefficient. The presidential system hardly has scrutiny and accountability where it prefers popularity over credibility while the unitary system is definitely not fit for huge territories. A good example of the unitary system's failure is how Imperial Manila's traffic may soon beat the traffic in China's Beijing sooner or later. First, let's consider a basic understanding of the system of the parliament. What I didn't consider or know before was how the opposition in the parliament is built with two sides -- the Majority Backbench and the Minority Backbench in the parliament. The job of the op...
