Do Anti-Reform Crybabies Even Know Why The Marcos Sr. Years Weren't The Golden Years?

Well, it's the GOLDEN ANNIVERSARY of the time that the late despot, Ferdinand E. Marcos Sr., declared martial law and abused it, right? Martial law in itself isn't wrong per se. Martial law is STILL constitutional even in the 1987 Constitution of the Philippines . When former president Rodrigo R. Duterte declared martial law - it was only in MINDANAO. It's a very far cry from what Marcos Sr. did when he declared NATIONWIDE martial law. Quite interestingly, I heard the late Ninoy Aquino also supported the declaration of martial law all before challenging the UNJUST implementation. Marcos Sr., like Emperor Palpatine in Star Wars , created a legislative for show only and used the emergency powers for his own benefit.  A legacy of economic protectionism was a real monster I always find it stupid when people hate Marcos Sr. BUT they love economic protectionism . I can't be certain if President Bobong Marcos will really reverse protectionism. However, I'm still skeptical ...

If The 1987 Constitution Is The "Best In The World" Then Why Hasn't The Philippines Massively Recovered From The Ill-Effects Of The Marcos Years?

Happy 35th anniversary to EDSA today, right? It's very easy to get stuck in the hype that EDSA Revolution toppled the Marcos Years which were obviously NOT the golden years. It's very easy to talk about the human rights abuses of the Marcos Years such as the arrest of political opponents, ABiaS-CBN being SHUT DOWN FOR REAL (unlike today's loss of franchise), and seized from the Lopezes, and the crony capitalism. Yet, what's most often forgotten is that the Marcos Years was characterized by RAMPANT economic protectionism which also allowed more room for human rights abuses . The Marcos Years sank the Philippines into much debt not just because the Marcoses stole money from the Philippine treasury or misused taxes -- it was also because they protected the oligarchs from foreign competitors via economic protectionism. Whoever says that the Philippines is "blessed" by protectionism may want to go have a vacation in the Kingdom of North Korea or in Venezuela. After...

What's The Use Of Celebrating The Downfall Of Marcos Since The Nation DIDN'T PROGRESS After His Downfall?

The EDSA Revolution has had its milestones and narration. 2016 marked the anniversary of the downfall of the dictator Ferdinand E. Marcos Sr.'s regime . Now, we're hitting the 35th year since February 23, 1986, when the revolution started. The same question needs to be asked again, "WHERE IS THE PROMISED CHANGE AFTER EDSA?" I'm not saying that overthrowing Marcos isn't a good thing. The Marcos regime was characterized with rampant human rights violations. What's annoying is that there are critics of Marcos is that some of them still want to retain protectionist policies and/or remain in a presidential sytem . Some of them don't even bother to realize that the human rights abuses during the Marcos years were caused by economic protectionism . Marcos protected the interests of HIS CRONIES from foreign competition, still enforcing the Filipino First Policy by Carlos P. Garcia. Eventually, both Marcos and Garcia are rightfully buried next to each other at ...

Economic Protectionism Allowed The Marcos Years Abuses To Happen

Ferdinand E. Marcos Sr. is NOT a hero. Neither is Carlos P. Garcia the founder of the Filipino First Policy. Both of them deserve to be buried next to each other at the Libingan Ng Mga Bayani. Now, it's September 21 and it's really more than time to remind people about the WELL-DOCUMENTED Marcos human rights violations. It's very easy to say #NeverAgain to Marcos . However, #NeverAgain to Marcos will only make sense if you actually knew that his highly PROTECTIONIST regime actually allowed him to do what he did. I don't see how economic protectionism is a blessing except for the Marcos cronies or for the oligarchs. The Filipino people suffered dearly under his protectionist regime and unjust declaration of martial law. It was protectionism that empowered Marcos and his cronies to operate at full force.  How can we say protectionism allowed the Marcos years abuses? A free market would easily get information more spread than usual. What was more interesting was that AB...

#NeverAgain To Marcos? What About #NeverAgain To Protectionist, Presidential Governance?

Let's consider the fact that the Marcos Years were DEFINITELY not the golden years. But do you even know WHY they're not the Golden Years? You can always talk about human rights violations. When talking about Adolf Hitler's Nazi Germany - it's easy to first raise about the massacre of the Jewish people or how much Hitler was a dictator. However, are they aware that the Hitler Years were also protectionist ? Hitler's Germany was a protectionist regime under the Nazi Party. Nazi means National SOCIALISM. Mao Zedong's China was also a highly economic protectionist country. North Korea is a highly economic protectionist country. Are the Marcos critics aware that the Marcos Years were actually run with protectionism ? Yes, that means what's the use really of tagging #NeverAgain with Marcos when you actually support economic protectionism?  Scared of another Marcos leadership if we shift to parliamentary? Well, Ninoy Aquino himself that the Marcos Years were a MOC...

An Essay Quiz For Those Who Compare Duterte To Marcos

The crass stupidity of #SilentNoMorePh is really well, stupid. I remembered some time ago when I wrote a post where I said that #NoToABSCBNShutdown is a rather misleading tag . Now, the attempt to compare President Rodrigo R. Duterte to a REAL dictator named Ferdinand E. Marcos Sr. is a new desperate attempt. This is really another victim complex playing of the Anti-Constitutional Reform groups. I can respect anti-Duterte like the late Carlos Celdran but NOT Jover Laurio of Pignoy Ako Blog .  It's time that the Anti-Constitutional Reform members need to answer the following questions when they compare Duterte to Marcos IF THEY CAN do it in simple English without mixing Tagalog into it: If their beloved ABiaS-CBN is SHUT DOWN then why isn't there a PADLOCK at the network? Why is ANC News still open and still giving "life-saving news"? Why is there still The Kapamilya Channel or other cable channels by ABiaS-CBN? Why are the Youtube and Facebook pages still a...

Don't Criticize The Marcos Years If You Support Economic Protectionism

I don't want to dare deny that I don't go solid on any politician. Just because I don't support the Aquinos doesn't automatically mean I support the Marcoses. Just because the Noynoying Years weren't the golden years doesn't mean that the Marcos Years were the golden years either. You've got Aquino loyalists who want to ban the Marcoses from entering their campuses. I don't deny that the martial law years were abusive but let's get to more than just the abuses. Do they even know how the late Ferdinand E. Marcos Sr. was actually holding a PROTECTIONIST REGIME. The 1987 Constitution (which is just a band-aid solution) isn't entirely to blame for decades-long state protectionism. You can thank the late Carlos P. Garcia for that too. That's why Marcos deserves to be buried at the mockery of a graveyard known as the Libingan Ng Mga Bayani or Graveyard of the Heroes. It's stupid how there are Marcos critics who continue to demonize the Mar...

Would You Let Magdalo (Instead Of Police And Military) Protect The Schools In Case Of An Emergency?

The NPA recruitment of minors happening at a very fast rate is NOT something to be taken lightly. President Duterte tried having peace talks with the NPA (presumably due to young people in them) but it failed. Now, the recent event has it that certain universities that are a target for police and military supervision are protesting against it. But I do have an alternative for them if they hate the military and police. They can ask for Antonio Trillanes IV, Gary Alejano, and their Magdalo troops to protect these schools in case of an emergency. Any big crisis would definitely require  the declaration of martial law  or military intervention. The Philippine government would require a mandatory military checkpoint in schools and public gathering areas for this reason - to protect the civilians from possible invasions or to ward out infiltrators. If the area is in a certain threat then that area needs to have a military intervention. It's just like how Mindanao had to have mili...

Be Informed: Martial Law Is Still Constitutional ACCORDING To The 1987 Constitution

September 21 always rings a bell. As much as I don't want to deny the atrocities of the Marcos Years but did you know martial law is STILL part of the 1987 Constitution ? As much as I believe the 1987 Constitution needs to be updated and overhauled with newer reforms (aside from uplifting unreasonable restrictions towards foreign investors) but here's another part where Yellowtards and activists have missed. Here's the CURRENT section of the 1987 Constitution that says martial law is still approved: THE 1987 CONSTITUTION OF THE REPUBLIC OF THE PHILIPPINES – ARTICLE VII EXECUTIVE DEPARTMENT Section 18. The President shall be the Commander-in-Chief of all armed forces of the Philippines and whenever it becomes necessary, he may call out such armed forces to prevent or suppress lawless violence, invasion or rebellion. In case of invasion or rebellion, when the public safety requires it, he may, for a period not exceeding sixty days, suspend the privilege of the writ of ...

Cory Years Failure: Pardoning Certain Convicted Criminals As "Martial Law Victims"

I don't know what to believe in anymore after many years of deceit. I could remember studying Civics and Culture in my elementary years. The whole book was painted in Yellow where it wanted to make Ferdinand E. Marcos Sr. look like he was always a villain and Aquinos are always the heroes. Just because the Marcos Years weren't the golden years doesn't mean that the Aquino years are the golden years of the Philippines, too. First, we could talk about the Light a Fire Movement which involved Jim Paredes' mother Ester Paredes. The whole Light a Fire movement was not heroic. I don't see anything heroic about trying to set on fire certain sites because those could have hurt innocent people. Just because Marcos Sr. was a dictator doesn't justify what they did. He was inside the mall but that incident was still a crime. Those who were in the Light a Fire Movement hurt and killed people. I don't see any reason why they should be regarded as martial law victi...

Does Etta Rosales Even Know The Situation In Marawi As She Holds The Petition To Uplift Martial Law?

It's no secret that Etta Rosales herself should be considered the person that turned the Commission of Human Rights into a waste of space. It's good to have a human rights watch but not to the extent that they limit their duties only to state agents or that they become too lenient. The other is on Florin Hilbay who went from bar topnotcher to laughing stock.  Let's consider the situation. This is not preventive martial law. Here's what GMA News has to say which Rosales may have conveniently ignored: In seeking the extension, Duterte cited the military and police’s assessment pointing to continuing terrorist recruitment, increasing violence from the communist rebels and the rehabilitation of Marawi. Doesn't the continuing terrorist recruitment and increasing violence of communist rebels require military intervention as Marawi is rehabilitated? This wouldn't be an easy rehabilitation and there's the need to have military intervention as this is ...

Will Martial Law Be Needed To Free Philippines From SISI?

It's no secret that the SISI terrorist group  has infiltrated various offices in the Philippines whether it'd be the executive, the legislative and the judicial. If Marawi was placed under extended military law due to the possibility of Maute remnants and repairs of the damaged city require high security - then maybe the National Capital Region should be placed under martial law as well. What is SISI doing right now? They are trying to undermine the current administration as to maintain power that they had last adminsitration. Even if L eila Al Sabah has been arrested, Abu Sayad is no longer in power, Abu Suyop lost the presidential race - you still have Ali Punga, Talib Abdelkanin , Tabah bin Tahmad, Ali Mango and Fakeehah Nasira who are all still in power. Ali Baba is still rallying with his stupidity.  Worse, Nasira is still the assuming Vice President of the Philippines. Should Duterte be ousted, SISI will succeed in taking over the Philippine government. Right ...

Martial Law Crybabies Are Keeping The Philippines Backward

Happy September 21 anyone?  I want to address the latest issue of how martial law crybabies are keeping the country backwards. It all started with the declaration of martial law for the first time in three decades in Marawi. The situation where the Matae terrorists were attacking called for the launching of martial law and you've got Dilawans crying " martial law ". You even have them using children to participate in the rallies with #NeverAgainToMartialLaw. Get Real Philippines reveals this fact that I've observed and I've been guilty off in my growing up years: For Filipinos, however, being under Martial Law is the be-all-end-all most important national risk to be acutely vigilant about. Small surprise then that Filipinos find themselves today with an insanely paralysing national phobia for Martial Law that has resulted in (1) the implementation of a paranoid Constitution in 1987, (2) the rise to power of a vindictive oligarchy, (3) the propagation of a...

Martial Law Crybabies Analyze Martial Law The Same Way Mar Roxas Analyzes Hammers

Tomorrow is the "celebration" of martial law day. It's time to deal with martial law crybabies who want to get rid of martial law because it hurt someone. What's even funnier is that the trait of martial law crybabies is passed from one generation after the other. It's probably taught from one generation after the other. Others say they are martial law survivors even if they weren't even arrested or tortured. They want martial law removed. The blame martial law for the abuses instead of the one misusing and abusing the martial law. The same can be said with Mar Roxas' solution on requiring permits to carry hammers as his solution to the martilyo gang. Should we always ban something because it hurt someone? Not always. Hammers and martial law are two stuff that could benefit but they could hurt someone when misused or abused. The problem with Ferdinand E. Marcos Sr. is not him declaring martial law but its misuse and abuse. Martial law is sometimes nec...

Martial Law May Be Necessary To Purge Off PNoy Pride From The Philippines

I gave a thought on the issue of martial law crybabies  as September 21 approaches. If the Matae terrorists in Marawi aren't the only threat I would also call the threat of the PNoy insurgency. It's their attitude of keeping up with the martial law crybaby attitude. It's more than time to ask them on whether or not martial law crybabies know that martial law is still constitutional? What went wrong during the late Ferdinand E. Marcos Sr.'s regime was not martial law itself but the misuse and abuse of martial law. Here's one thing that I read from Get Real Philippines that may describe the PNoy menace and why it's a threat to good Pinoys who want a better Philippines: There are things worse than being under the sort of Martial Law former President Ferdinand Marcos oversaw in the 1970s — like being invaded by a foreign army, being struck by a killer earthquake or cyclone, being genetically mutated by years of exposure to diesel fumes, being stabbed to dea...

Do Martial Law Crybabies Really Know What Martial Law Really Means?

It's really annoying how martial law crybabies today are still martial law crybabies. It's just like how the members of the Aquino Empire . Martial law was declared in Mindanao for sixty days. The reason is because of ISIS insurgents at Marawi. It's not a joke. So why are those martial law crybabies (and they're passing their stupidity to their descendants) still saying "No to martial law!" when they're in Luzon to start with? Do they know the meaning of martial law or do they just get their definition from pelikulas, komiks and teleseryes by biased media they believe is the truth ? Do we need to define martial law again? Merriam Webster defines it as, "The law administered by military forces that is invoked by a government in an emergency when the civilian law enforcement agencies are unable to maintain public order and safety". Did they read that definition? What happened in Marawi is a high state of emergency. If the policemen can no lon...

Jim Paredes Is Such A Martial Law Crybaby

Here's Jim Paredes with his epal idiocy again. I may not be a political analyst or a political science graduate but I can still facedesk to this comment. I wonder does he know the meaning of martial law or is he still thinking about his late mother Esther Paredes? Martial law is defined by Merriam-Webster as: The law administered by military forces that is invoked by a government in an emergency when the civilian law enforcement agencies are unable to maintain public order and safety So why did President Rodrigo R. Duterte declare martial law in Mindanao ONLY ? It's because of the ISIS threat. Come on, a global terrorist organization is not a joke. Paredes is missing the point. Remember how he trolled the Digong Duterte Squad last EDSA Revolution and he accused them of trolling? He missed the point. He even threw a couple of false accusations he's not even sure of. President Duterte should be applauded for cutting short his visit in Moscow unlike Noynoy Aquino who...

Many Filipinos Need To Stop Confusing Strict Disciplinary Measures With Martial Law!

I remembered just some months ago, Mrs. Raissa Robles had mentioned that with President Rodrigo Duterte's policy of 10 P.M. curfew for minors, it's like we're back to martial law . The problem is that today many Filipinos severely lack discipline. While some good Filipinos are happy with such rules but other Filipinos may raise the "martial law" flag all over again. I don't think the Philippines needs martial law to be straightened up but it certainly needs strict implementation of proper discipline . As Lee Kuan Yew said that a country needs more discipline and not more democracy to develop. The Philippines has democracy but lacks discipline. What I need to raise is that the Philippines can't progress if people don't even want to follow simple guidelines . What's worse is that some Filipinos love to use their Filipino identity to justify their blunder . Let me ask them do activities that break simple guidelines like habitual tardiness, l...

Maybe The Philippines Really Needs Martial Law Again Huh?!

What is martial law? It is the suspension of ordinary law in favor of military law as a rare measure used to control society during times of unrest. Looking at how many Filipinos have a love for a dysfunctional sense of freedom , a  culture of dysfunction and a culture of impunity which is further propagated in the name of " It's More Fun in the Philippines ". I can really observe how a lot of Filipinos use the tagline as an excuse for their bad behavior and considering today is September 21, I thought writing about martial law might be a very touchy topic indeed. While I am not a Marcos loyalist but I thought about how sometimes, the rule of military law is needed and I hate to admit it, the Philippines is usually at unrest because of people who can't even follow simple guidelines . The problem of the Philippines is that it has too much freedom. The problem is not democracy but a democracy that's run of stupid people, by stupid people and for stupid people ...
