Making It Fun in the Philippines

There's always the call of crybabies like, "WAH! PROTECT PELEPENO PRAYD FROM KOMPETISYON!" I'd say F*** THAT because we're seeing some collaborations between Filipino entertainers. In fact, Filipino entertainment has already created some collaborations like Andy Lau and Sharon Cuneta (In Your Eyes), as well as Jacky Cheung (whose wife got involved in a maid firing scandal) with Regine Velasquez-Alcasid. Well, today is Taiwan's Independence Day, right? I was thinking of the time when I actually wrote about Jover Laurio of Pignoy Ako Blog  in Taiwan . I was wishing that Jover would run for senator under the Liberal Party since her sponsor Vice President Leni Loud Robredo is running for president. I even want to see Jover win a Nobel Peace Prize award because of how questionable nominees are. Now, it would be very easy to see pages like Change Scamming , Silent No More PH , and Bantay Nakaw to name a few of those pages. It's NOT wrong to highlight any failures of the Duterte Administration's failures during the COVID-19 pandemic. The great Mahathir Mohamad supports having an opposition and criticism as part of government growth. It may quite late since its June 15, 2021, and the article regarding Taiwan's urge to scrap excessive and restrictive foreign ownership for businesses . The very suggestion was given by Taiwan's very own Taipei Economic and Cultural Office (TECO) Representative Michael Peiyung Hsu (or Hsu Peiyung) regarding the ownership restrictions. It's crazy how some Filipino communists such as Bantay Nakaw  dare to use Taiwan's success to belittle and demean President Rodrigo R. Duterte. Not surprisingly, Bantay Nakaw is supported by Antonio F. Trillanes IV and former human rights chairperson Etta Rosales. I remembered writing about how Filipinos need to understand how Taiwan rose from rags to riches . Now, it's time to consider how Taiwan's Cs that led to its low infection rate. Well it turns out that Jover Laurio is currently in Taiwan  and there's a picture of her at the Chiang Kai Shek memorial. I'm open to localization for the reason that different locales have different cultures or that people should be given the chance to give their interpretation of different stories. I mean, I started getting into Taiwanese drama  with Meteor Garden which its story was a localized plot of Hana Yori Dango. My problem kicks in when the localized version just turns out awful for most of its run. Let's think about the difference between the South Korean and Chinese (this may come from Taiwan, China or Hong Kong) versions of foreign shows vs. the teleserye versions. I could remember about how I started watching Taiwanovelas thanks to Meteor Garden. Meteor Garden is based on Hana Yori Dango where everyone got Chinese names with more or less the same meaning in place of the Japanese names from the original Manga and Anime. I didn't think about writing this but since today is Taiwan's independence day, I wanted to write this short. I could still remember the Taiwanovela craze. There was The Amazing Twins  - I can't deny the arrival of Meteor Garden was what started the craze. Meteor Garden was my very first Taiwanese series and it made me take a temporary break from Tokusatsu for a short time. It was a new fad and while I'm kinda bored of it right now (no thanks to that Toku break) but it may be a moment in time before I take another break from Toku. I never started liking TV drama in general because of the telebasura fad . I could remember how often I whined constantly about there's nothing but telebasura to watch. Then Meteor Garden came and sad to say there's an upcoming remake from that stupid network called ABiaS-CBN. Meteor Garden was a remake and adaptation of the Japanese Manga known as Hana Yori Dango. I thought it was Japanese because F4 all wore the Anime hairstyle...

Happy Double Ten or Taiwanese Independence Day for the Republic of China otherwise also known as Taiwan!  Taiwan today exists as a major Asian economic tiger aside from Singapore, Hong Kong and SOUTH Korea not North Korea . I don't claim to be an economist (which I'm not) neither am I a political analyst.
