Rather Than #ReviseTerrorLaw, We See Those Filipino Commies Repeatedly Whine To #JunkTerrorLaw Instead

Well, it's one year since the Anti-Terror Law was passed. As said, this law, if ever, has defects, needs to be corrected and updated every now and then. It's just like economic laws need to be amended such as removing excessive restrictions from certain sectors. It's one thing to be afraid of the existence of an anti-terror law for its mere existence. It's another thing to be afraid that the current Anti-Terror Law can be misused and abused. I can share the concern that this new law can be misused and abused. However, my stance will always remain as #ReviseTerrorBill over #JunkTerrorBill . We really need an anti-terror bill - just that any defects such as detaining people based on mere suspicion need to be amended. It's not as black and white as pros and antis want to make it look it as. You can support the Anti-Terror Law while criticizing it to get rid of any provision that would be detrimental to basic citizen rights. Well, it turns out that Kabayangan Partylist ...

The Gray Areas Of The Anti-Terrorist Bill, #JunkTerrorBill, And #ReviseTerrorBill

Nothing speaks stupidity like Jover Laurio's Pignoy Ako Blog and their supporters huh? I did want to label Catriona Gray as a "brainless bimbo" (that is a beautiful woman without brains like Angel Locsin Colmenares and Shaina Garcia Magdayao) - I do have to respect her stance above. Unfortunately, Benign0 of Get Real Philippines was already jumping into conclusions when it said that only communists and terrorists are afraid of the new anti-terrorism law . Unfortunately, the proposed amendment of the law (Section 26) read by Far Eastern University's law dean Melencio Sta. Maria does show one great risk. That is, Sta. Maria does warn that nobody should be arrested or detained based only on suspicion. So what's Catriona's stand hence the pun? Consider that #JunkTerrorBill can mean more than one thing. It might mean to junk the CURRENT version of the terrorism bill. It doesn't mean people who oppose the current version that seriously needs to be restudied ...

Would You Rather Trust The Criminals And Terrorists Than Cops And Soldiers?

I remembered some time ago when I posted if the Dilawans would rather trust the criminals than the cops . Another would be that would students belonging to communist groups would rather trust criminals and terrorists over the soldiers and policemen . This really would now summarize the question for anyone who seeks to demonize the military and police for their existence alone as, "Would you rather trust the criminals than cops and soldiers?" What's the reasoning behind them trusting soldiers and policemen? One of the dumbest reasons I've gotten is because criminals kill "for a reason" and cops they kill "without a reason". Huh? It's really illogical. So is it less heinous if somebody commits murder "for a reason" (ex. activism leading to terrorism) than if somebody just commits murder without a reason. Does a reason make murder less heinous? Murder is defined by the Legal Dictionary as "the killing of a human being by a sane p...

Let's Tag #AmendTerror, Not #JunkTerror, Concerning The Anti-Terrorist Bill

It's one thing to fear the anti-terrorism bill for its mere existence. It's another to fear that the anti-terrorism bill can be misused and abused. It's like fearing a gun for being a gun or fearing that a gun can be misused and abused are two different things. The problem today is that people would rather panic over the passage of the Anti-Terrorism. The tagging of #JunkTerror should be replaced with #AmendTerror. If you consider the reality of the Philippines then the 2019 Global Index of terrorism  really shows that the Philippines is in the TOP TEN. Play the convenient blame game on President Duterte for it? Well, it's been collective years of terrorism and no president can instantly solve it. Why am I currently skeptical about it? It's because of what Far Eastern University Melencio Sta. Maria did present that Section 26 is FAULTY. Nobody should be arrested based on suspicion. That defect alone should be a cause to DELAY the submission or for the president N...

Filipino Crybaby Activism's Massive Failure Of Mind

Ever heard the idea that the current generation is full of snowflakes? Yes, we've got the problem of crybaby activism. Every time something doesn't go their way - crybaby activists show up and start whining and shouting on the roads. The same can go for Kabataan Partylist with Representative Sarah Elago or its members like Raoul Manuel. Crybaby activism is something that takes place when they decide to make a change by being a crybaby. Activism is not necessarily terrorism. Activism means to vigorously campaign for change. Some activism can be good like when a white man fights for the rights of African-Americans without starting a war. Some activism can be VERY bad when you've got warmongering people causing trouble hoping to make a change for themselves. Crybaby activism is when crybabies cause trouble because things don't go their way. Do you remember the time when President Rodrigo R. Duterte with CONSENT of the legislative declared martial law in Mindanao? The m...

Discussing The Anti-Terrorist Bill's Amendments In A Parliamentary Set-Up

The recent anti-terrorist bill feels like it's been rushed and "made urgently". I'm for an anti-terrorism bill but I'm for junking any version that could be easily weaponized. We already have our majority and opposition sides talking about it. Leni Loud Robredo is actually right that the bill could be misused and abused. Now, it's time to consider the provisions and I think any provision that will violate the right to privacy and due process SHOULD BE REMOVED because it could be misused and abused. But what if we were having the anti-terrorism bill amended in the parliamentary system? Now, let's give our two parties namely PDP-Laban and the Liberal Party their side to talk. The topic is how to carry out the anti-terrorism bill. The Liberal Party believes that certain amendments might be easily misused and abused. On the other hand, PDP-Laban would defend certain amendments that they believe would be needed. Now, it's time for the weekly question hou...
