Making It Fun in the Philippines

Well, it's Halloween and I guess I decided to write an article I wanted to write years ago. I just finished watching Zombie Detective on Netflix. Meanwhile, I was remembering some of the supernatural K-Drama series that ABiaS-CBN aired such as Forbidden Love , Gu Family Book , My Girlfriend is a Gumiho , and Black (on the Kapamilya Channel).  I haven't watched these series in full though I could remember this dumb comment from Get Real Philippines some time ago from a certain Bongsky ahem Bobosky... I still laugh reading at this comment (and I'm laughing at how Benign0 of Get Real Philippines still keeps feeding the trolls) with the guy's taste. I'm still laughing at how this Bobosky thinks that La Luna Sangre is a much better show than Twilight or Vampire Diaries . Now, to really talk about how ABiaS-CBN has NO EXCUSE to do what they did with the Moonstone Trilogy because they aired some K-Drama along the way. The 2022 elections are around the corner. Apparently, both Dutertards and Noytards are still fighting over who's better between incumbent President Rodrigo R. Duterte and the late Noynoy Aquino. Alternatively, call it the DDS vs. Dilawan NONSENSE fights. The Dilawans love to claim that they're for the country but are they REALLY for the country or are they just fighting for Vice President Leni Loud Robredo to become the next president? The Dilawans are somehow more focused on them seizing power (again) than the Philippines. The DDS or Dutertards are somehow more concerned with a Duterte in power than constitutional reform. Worse, some DDS are even as anti-reform as the Dilawans while some of the Dilawans even forget that their fellow yellow, the late Carlos Celdran, was actually for constitutional reform . I'm amazed at how often alternatives are let with either PDP-Laban vs. Liberal Party or Bobong Marcos vs. Leni Loud.  First, we must define the system. Is it about who

Now, I was wondering why did they now choose the color pink when the color yellow was what the people are accustomed to? I was thinking about the use of pink to probably blend in with October's Breast Cancer Awareness month or to make it look like the whole world is calling Leni Loud to run. Though, another thing worth noticing is how Leni Loud's use of the color pink seems to perfectly match with the movie Ang Tanging Ina N'yong Lahat by ABiaS-CBN films. Ironic though that the film actually warns about the perils of the presidential form of government. I'm really, really finding it stupid that Leni Loud herself now declares that she's not only the mother to her daughters but also to the whole nation . TBH, it's really a huge victory for Maria Ressa to win her Nobel Peace Prize. Now, we are going to think of one of the greatest women in power. Am I talking about Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern of New Zealand or President Tsai Ing Wen of Taiwan? No, I'm talking about Vice President Maria Leonor "Leni Loud" G. Robredo - the amazing wonder worker since 2016, hopefully the future president, and the hope of the nation.  One of the biggest reasons  Leni Loud is now the strongest woman in Asian politics because of the free food that she has been giving . Guys, it's good that Maria Ressa herself got the Nobel Peace Prize as a serious slap to the Duterte Administration. However, the Nobel Foundation's awarding of her isn't so well done. She won one award after the other proving how credible she is towards the country . Now, it's time to give her another award - a Nobel Prize in PHYSICS. The awarding of the Nobel Peace Prize to Maria Ressa can be considered ridiculous . For some, it's a slap against the face of the outgoing President Rodrigo R. Duterte. Some wokes are posting and saying that the victory of Ressa is a victory for the Filipino people. It reveals that a joyride for Vice President Leni Loud Robredo was conducted in Bicol. Assuming the figure of hundreds is accurate (or even thousands according to Rappler ) - it's really worth facedesking about. The COVID-19 pandemic has made me revisit the moments in my life. Back then, I remembered how I met people in college who had this economically ignorant "typical Pinoy" mindset. One of the worst examples I met was a working scholar I got into a quarrel with because of her attitude. Another one was a guy who kept whining about how he was poor yet he was also wasteful. There was also the writer of the now-deleted Fliptards Blog who kept having his rich shaming mentality. The encounter I had with that working scholar, that wasteful poor guy, and that teleserye addict were just a few. I could think about how somebody even said, "Kasalanan naman niyo mga mayayaman na mahirap kami!" The list can go on and on. One of the news I've missed from South Korea is Choi Jin Hyuk's temporary hiatus because of his negligence . The reason was because Jin Hyuk went to meet an old friend in a bar that was illegally open. The result was that he was caught at around 8:20 P.M.  on October 6 this year. Rather than make excuses - Jin Hyuk decided to issue an apology, stepped away from the My Little Boy variety show, and will take the time to reflect on his actions. It would be amusing that an article from Reuters (also in Rappler ) stated that a North Korean website compares Squid Game to South Korea's "brutal capitalist society" . I'm very much amazed at the stupidity of the comparison while I was checking for inspiration. It would be very amazing that the COMMUNIST site would compare Squid Game to South Korea. Yet, a video from Youtube has a North Korean defector who says otherwise. The whole Squid Game would have an allegory closer to that of communists playing with people's lives than South Korea's capitalist society. Just reading through the article made me think of the half-truths of the pro-North Korean sites. It can't be denied that there's the rich-poor gap. However, isn't it MUCH BIGGER in North Korea? There are always talks from the Yellowtards nonetheless of the need to have a genuine opposition. I'm not saying that it's wrong to have a genuine opposition for check and balance. However, I really have to find it a BUMMER to want a genuine opposition but to reject the parliamentary system .  First, let's handle the objections regarding the change to parliamentary AGAIN What I find annoying is that whenever talks are done about shifting to parliamentary system - you can get a lot of anti-intellectual discourse such as: "But will never work! Look at the Marcos years! It was a parliamentary and it enriched his interests! Parliamentary systems means ruling for life!" "What? Give unli-terms? That will worsen corruption!" "It's not the form of government that matters but the quality of the leaders. It's just a coincidence that the Top 10 nations are mostly parliamentary!" It's time to handle these objections with a little more research.

I'm just laughing at how the Yellowtards (or Dilawans as they may label themselves) are now BRAGGING about Vice President Leni Loud Robredo's celebrity endorsement.
