Making It Fun in the Philippines

Ever remembered the time when a lot of people thought Atty. Vitaliano Aguirre Jr. was their "new hero" because of his mistake during the late Renato Corona's impeachment trial? While I can remember fuming over what he did and making a fuzz about it, I failed to see that there was a bigger fault with the Senate itself. I don't think he was entirely against disagreeing with Senator Miriam Santiago's argument but he was obviously displeased by her repetitive nagging. Then again, the Senators also deserved that repetitive nagging for treating the process as a game. A few years later, he became Getulio Napenas' lawyer where he was at his best behavior. Let's focus on the whole idea of "my new hero" to "my new enemy".

Do you remember the canceled would have been national blockbuster called Sagasa 2016 ? Both Noynoy Aquino and Joseph Pabaya made that promise if the expressway from Baclaran to Bacoor wasn't completed by 2016 that they'd allow themselves be run over by a train. January 1, 2016 of the solar calendar came and they are still alive. Then we had them both still alive after January 1, 2016 and on February 7, 2016 which was January 1, 2016 according to the Chinese calendar. Did those two even put in their heads that they were in the Philippines and not in China? But neither New Year nor Chinese New Year offered Filipinos the opportunity to see both morons get run over paying for all the lives that have been lost no thanks to MRT disasters. It's time to start with some of them to address the two truths about traffic. One is that traffic is NOT a sign of progress. Although the term of Noynoy Aquino has officially ended, one must consider the huge problem of legalized theft . The problem is that for several years it's always been safeguarding the ruling class . The whole administration of Noynoy has not punished any of his allies guilty of theft of public funds. In the whole process, they have committed acts of legalized theft. Why it should be called legalized theft is because they've made their acts of theft legal by their position and authority which should not be the case. What acts of legalized theft were committed during the Noynoy Administration? The use of the pork barrel, Disbursement Acceleration Program (DAP), the Yolanda operation fiasco , sheltering tax evaders who pay the Bureau of Internal Revenue money under the table, accepting bribes from criminals and overtaxing everyone in the Philippines with a high limit of 32% are just a few cases of legalized theft one could name. Every Filipino who's demanding and fighting for the Philippines to enter into economic liberalization and constitutional correction may consider reading this post's rather extreme alternative. They want to know what I really think should be done to those economic protectionist lovers  who cry out, "FOREIGN INVASION!" towards foreign investors or continue to insist that self-industrialization is 100% achievable never mind they haven't tested that theory on an uncharted island? With the move to liberate the Philippine economy from the stupidity of 60/40 there's going to be a lot of idiots who are going to keep shouting that invaders are coming. It's good news for all the people in the Philippines in total as well as the rest of the countries that got affected by President Xi Jin Ping's unethical territorial expansion. As I said, I have nothing against liking Japanese stuff or adults who like Anime, Super Sentai (or any Tokusatsu) for the matter. I don't think it's childish for any guy in one's late 20s or early 30s to still watch Zyuohger or Kamen Rider Ghost. I'm now older than Nobuo Akagi but I can enjoy anything new from Tokusatsu if it gives me a really good story. I'd like to address the problem of liking Japanese culture too much. Japanese entertainment isn't always good as I learned it the hard way for the past few years. I could give an example of something that happened around this decade. We're having the scapegoat culture. After all, didn't the previous administration just keep blaming Gloria Macapagal Arroyo  for everything wrong in the Nobita Administration? From ABiaS-CBN News, I've learned that Senator Panfilo Lacson has told the Senate not to intervene with the anti-drug momentum . He has mentioned that either Commission on Human Rights (hopefully Duterte has appointed a competent head to replace the resigned Etta Rosales and make the department FOCUS on what it should be defending) and the Department of Justice (under Justice Secretary Vitaliano Aguirre Jr. ). Concerning what he said about hearsay points out to this sad reality that many Filipinos just believe in hearsay resulting to innocent people going to jail all the while many Filipinos have the bad habit of condoning to the sins of their fellow Filipinos. Besides, leaving Liberal Party was the right choice for Lacson. His leaving of No Direction was a good choice in itself.

Whether or not Vice President Leni Robredo is really guilty of cheating still needs to be seen so I don't protest to Bongbong's complaint until he's proven to be lying. What needs to be done right now is to REOPEN the investigation behind Jesse Robredo's death. While there's no direct and clear conclusion for the late Jesse's death whether it was a sabotage or if it was really foul play, that incident still needs to be investigated. If Leni expects to honor her late husband's legacy she should really have Jesse's death investigated as soon as possible. What Vice President Leni needs to do right now is to put aside her loyalties for the Liberal Party and focus on the badly needed investigation. If she's really concerned about justice, she should really have the case re-investigated by the Duterte Administration with her cooperation. It feels like Jesse's death was silenced to protect confidential secrets that could cause a lot of corruption...

It's something that Senator Leila De Lima (former Justice Secretary) has the guts to talk against President Rodrigo Duterte's policies against drug syndicates. That's why I've been calling her Liar Dilemma. With the six years of PNoy Pride  one has to consider what has REALLY happened. Under the watch of former president Benigno Simeon "Nobita" Cojuangco Aquino, indeed he has achieved a lot but I don't mean it in a good way. Under former president Nobita's watch, one may consider that their justice system wasn't really justice. Let's take a look at what " Daang Matuwid " has really accomplished in six years with how they upheld justice. 

In the past, the Philippines used to be known for quality English because it was once an American colony during the Commonwealth Period. On July 4, 1946 we saw the Philippines become a truly independent republic. Sad to say but the Philippines has already lost its edge with Filipinos who were once known to speak English well in all of Asia. In the past, a lot of Asians had a hard time with English and Filipinos were able to beat them and it created a competitive advantage for the Philippines where neighboring countries will go to study in the Philippines to learn better English.  The problem soon escalated with my best estimate - during the term of the late Corazon Aquino . While I wouldn't call the late Ferdinand E. Marcos Sr. a hero but he used English more than Tagalog. After the fall of the Marcos Years  the Imperial Manila system got further developed. I previously talked about some of Justice Secretary Vitaliano Aguirre Jr.'s prison reforms . Now it's time to talk about some reforms for the prison cells. It's really a joke to have life imprisonment in the Philippines if the prison cells aren't really prison cells but vacation cells. I'd like to share some things that were found about the Bilibid Prison. Why would so many wealthy criminals would be afraid to go to jail if Bilibid has become a luxury hotel instead of a prison house for wealthy criminals? True some jails in Bilibid are not yet luxury cells but others are getting that privilege. It doesn't make sense to lock a person up in jail if they have the privilege to use it as a secondary residence, it looks like a five star hotel instead of a prison. If I were a wealthy drug lord or criminal with so many connections to the government then I would just need to pay the Department of Justice, the National Bureau of Investigation and other respectiv...

Failipino Pride (being proud of the prevailing idiocy among Filipinos at the expense of every good Filipino) itself is already a problem. Let's also address the problem of Filipino weeaboos. I find it ironic how many Filipino weeaboos tend to complain about the problems of the Philippines which other Filipinos who want change also complain about. Do you remember how much I rant and b*tch about the Commission on Human Rights ? As I love to say it, that STUPID organization has only created a generation of youth bound to the culture of impunity . What's worse is that there's also the Department of Justice with Injustice Secretary Leila Dilemma and former CHR chairperson Etta Rosales. Instead of focusing on how society has benefited from arresting and the death of dangerous criminals, they're too focused on the "due process" to make sure that the criminal's rights weren't violated. But did those idiots Rosales and Dilemma think of the welfare of the loved ones of the victims? Did they realize how many rights to life were violated by these criminals?

I guess Imperial Tagalistas are now getting a taste of their own medicine with their biased "Tagalogs are better than the rest of the world" as this idiotic Korean shop opens in Pasay City of Imperial Manila . Why in the world are these Koreans opening a shop here for Koreans and foreigners only in the Philippines if Filipinos aren't allowed?! It's just pretty stupid to have this kind of policy. Plus, I'd like to give some common sense lessons to those idiots running the store how do they expect this store to bloom if they don't allow Filipinos? If you're in the Philippines then Filipinos are your primary customers! If you don't like Filipinos then get out of the Philippines!

Today is July 4, 2016, and the truth is the Philippine Republic was truly born on July 4, 1946 . In short, the Philippines is only 70 years old since the Americans left. While June 12, 1898, is indeed an important date to note for liberation from Spain but the Philippines didn't become independent from foreign power until July 4, 1948. The Philippines became its own state after the Commonwealth period was over. Then we know that Manuel Roxas Sr., Mar Roxas' paternal grandfather became the first official president of the Philippines. Emilio Aguinaldo only ran a revolutionary government not a real one. The Philippine republic has had 38 years of real independence from foreign control and not 100+ years as we're led to believe last 1998. The centennial celebration should have only focused on the victory against the Spaniards but not to be referred to as Philippine independence day itself.

It's sad but true that many Filipinos have that bad habit where they don't bother to read the posts properly before they start making up comments and/or jumping into conclusions. It's not only a constant source of frustration for other Filipinos but also for the international community. Let's face it that some writers even write everything in simple black and white English or even if a Filipino writer writes it down in Tagalog but they don't bother to read the posts properly. This is all part of the huge problem of anti-intellectualism  prevailing in Filipino society. 

It may be the exit of Noynoy Aquino just yesterday but there's still much work to do with the education system. What the Duterte Administration needs to work on is trying to get rid of PNoy Pride from the education system. When I think about why many Filipinos are growing up stupid then the root of the problem may also be in the educational system. Like what are schools teaching their children?! Childhood is an important foundation that must be molded. Anything wrong taught to children can affect them that much when they grow up. One of the many reasons why so many Filipino children may grow up stupid is because they're being taught PNoy Pride all their lives. They're most likely taught that if it's an Aquino then they're fit for office  and that if anyone opposes the ideals of the Liberal Party or its the candidates then they're the enemy of the Philippines and anti-Filipino.
