Jose Rizal Was Against A Misguided Notion Of Happiness

The Philippine national hero once said, "Filipinos don't realize that victory is the child of struggle, that joy blossoms from suffering, and redemption is a product of sacrifice." While I couldn't imagine or fully say what his life was but I could imagine people who might have told him in Spanish, " Who are you? A hero? " or, "Well we can't do anything, can we?" to excuse or enjoy their blunder. If Jose Rizal were alive today, I think he might actually dare to slam David Guerrero  for his nonsense tagline, "It's More Fun in the Philippines" on his face. If he were alive today, he might also say, "Stop with that nonsense slogan. Why don't you make it a reality?" and maybe he would have written the book, "It's Not More Fun in the Philippines" instead of Noli Me Tangere. Many Filipinos have this problem that  they think they are a nation of happy people  when in reality that behind their smiles is a

Will Foreign Investments Put Local Businesses Out Of Business And Leave Filipinos Impoverished?

I remembered when I wrote a basic economics guide against the Failipino view of economics , I'm now compelled to write more articles on foreign direct investment. I wrote a previous article on the great lunatic that's Heneral Lunatic  so I guess I might write against the idea that Foreign Direct Investment or FDI will cause a foreign invasion because for the NTH time that  it DOES NOT cause a foreign invasion . It's just a stupid excuse that idiots make and the opportunists take advantage of in their quest for power. This of course, I wonder if Heneral Lunatic really studies history as he claims he does or does he even know basic economics ? Now it's time to tackle on the question on whether or not foreign investment will destroy local businesses and leave Filipinos impoverished. I believe it's time that I wrote something similar to this as part of the aim for Constitutional Reform.  The idea that foreign direct investment will cause local businesses to be out of

Will President Nobita Aquino And DOTC Secretary Emilio Pabaya Keep Their Promise?

I previously mentioned about how President Nobita should have not foolishly made that promise , now Christmas is over what about New Year? When I first heard of the promise, I could only say, "REALLY?!" Just because he's the president of the nation doesn't mean he can accomplish all he promised even if he had all the resources to do so. He's just human and in the process, he's really overestimated himself. Considering that the road of Baclaran to Bacoor has not been done and I can't say it'd be done in the next five days, will both President Nobita and DOTC Secretary Pabaya keep their promise that they'll allow themselves to be run over by a train? I doubt it considering that President Nobita hasn't achieved everything he promised during his campaign, we might as well consider the promise unfulfilled by January 2, 2016. What might be the most convenient (and predictable) way out is this... the blame game . It's already 2015 and the y

Christmas And New Year: It's Definitely Not More Fun In the Philippines!

Knowing that Christmas is just around the corner, I felt like writing this entry to get their attention. There's always the feeling of excitement for Christmas and New Year but there's also that feeling of anxiety. In a country where impunity is the norm , Christmas and New Year are also occasions where many Filipinos tend to invoke their "right to impunity" in more than one level. In the midst of a nation where a lot of people just loves to break guidelines  then you should really expect more people to to say, "Come on, it's Christmas. Can't you let it slide?". The statement is also used whenever people want to supposedly reconcile with somebody on Christmas but mistreat the person for the rest of the year. Sure, it's time for gifts and celebration, it's time for Christmas sales, it's time for year end bonuses, time for office Christmas parties but there's also anxiety for many people. The anxiety can take place of the thought

Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach's Victory As Miss Universe 2015 Might Be A Two-Edged Sword

Have you never noticed that when a Filipino makes it big, those annoying Pinoy Pridists are most likely to shout, "PINOY PRIDE!" or "FILIPINO PRIDE!" as loud as they can? I have nothing against Filipinos being happy for their countrymen winning but all that super annoying  credit-grabbing has to stop. While I do feel a certain degree of happiness for Pia Alonzo WURTZBACH's victory (I capitalized the letters of her family name to emphasize she's half-German), but the problem is not her victory (as if it's ever a problem at all) but it's all about people who are free-riding on her victory.  What may also piss off many Pinoy Pridists is her answer to the question on whether or not the United States should have a military presence in the Philippines. Her answer was simple as, "I think that the United States and the Philippines have always had a good relationship with each other. We were colonized by the Americans and we have their culture in

The Stupidity Of Davao Mayor Rodrigo Duterte's Plan To Replace Algebra, Calculus And Trigonometry With Business Math For Secondary Education

I have previously written an article related to doing Math wrong in the public schools , now it's time for me to at least raise this concern on Rodrigo Duterte. As much as I am in favor of actually shooting down big time crooks or going federal but his plan is just stupid. I would like to share why it blew off my mind hearing what he just said. The whole idea of replacing algebra, calculus and trigonometry with just business math is dumb at several levels. Here's an excerpt from the Philippine Star's article on Duterte's plan : “Yung Calculus alisin ko talaga yan. Dumaan kayo ng high school, ano ang natutunan niyo sa Calculus, Trigonometry? Yang Algebra palitan mo na yan ng Business Math (I would have Calculus taken out. What have you learned in Calculus and Trigonometry during high school? Let’s replace Algebra with Business Math),” Duterte said during a thanksgiving dinner at the Bonifacio Global City in Taguig City. The dinner was hosted by two supporters of

The Bad Habit Of Using One's Pinoy Identity To Justify And/Or Enjoy One's Blunder

I remembered writing a couple of posts in the past about ways Filipinos can justify their habit of enjoying their blunder . One common excuse used to enjoy one's blunder is, " Eh di pumunta ka sa ibang bansa? " or "Why don't you go to another country?" and I still hear it. Another statement that I hear is, " Eh sino ka hero? " or "What are you? A hero?" to anybody who raises up issues in correcting the prevalent stupidities of the Philippines. All those are done in the name of that they think they are so smart  even when in reality they are really  VERY STUPID  especially with the prevailing culture of anti-intellectualism . Then I thought it might be necessary to write on what if I wrote a post on using one's Pinoy identity to justify one's blunder. There is nothing wrong with being a Pinoy (as if it can be helped that a person can be born as a Pinoy) but you certainly choose to become a Failipino . I remembered how many bad F

President Nobita Aquino Should Have Not Foolishly Made That Promise About The Metro Railway Transit

During the campaign of President Benigno Simeon "Nobita" C. Aquino III, there was the campaign for a promise of "Daang Matuwid" or straight path towards progress. What might actually annoy me is to think of how many years did he promise to work on improving the MRT but what did he do? Most of the time, the straight years of blame game  is the reality over the straigh path towards progress and the MRT is one of them. I guess that's why Grace Poe Llamanzares got disqualified for the presidency because she addressed the MRT's issues. Worse, we still have Joseph Payaba who really says the stupidest things like traffic is not fatal . In short, what is the current administration really thinking?

Commission On Human Rights' Leniency With Crime May Have Just Inadvertently Created A Generation Of Vigilantes

I would like to discuss about the problem of the Commission on Human Rights  with their stupidity. A criminal got killed in self-defense and the person who killed in self-defense gets convicted? Worse, that organization has contributed to a culture of impunity in the Philippines  like when it protests against the rightful use of death penalty which by removing it from the Constitution may have also gotten rid of the right to defensive killing. I still remembered how many Filipinos really got angry with Singapore's government for executing Flor Contemplacion insisting she was innocent even after three years of proper investigation. Then there was the case of the three Filipino drug mules in China . When that happened, the Filipino government got rid of its rightful duty to execute criminals who deserve to be put to death, then we have all the "human rights" dribble never mind that sometimes, you have to kill somebody to protect the community. If you have to shoot a ra

Liberal Party Stupidity: Let's Continue The Blame Game Path, Shall We?

The blame game has gone too far as to where Presidential candidate Mar Roxas has really gone as far as to even blame the late Cory Aquino and Fidel Valdez Ramos . From 2010 up to the last day of President Nobita's regime, his biggest achievement has been the Blame Gloria game . MRT woe? And now, has Mar really lost his head now that he's also blaming the late Cory Aquino?  I already tired of the statement, "Ipagpatuloy ang daang matuwid." or "Let's continue the straight path." because this is not a straight path to progress but a straight path to the furnace . What I can see is that while ABiaS-CBN can go ahead and say, "We are really Asia's next miracle." to the audience, I still have to really say that how sure are they that the whole Philippines has really been uplifted? There are other areas of the Philippines that have bloomed for business but what good will it do if Manila still keeps its utter stupidity?

Will Etta Rosales ALSO PLEASE SHUT UP?!

As much as I don't approve of some methods Davao Mayor Rodrigo Duterte is doing but sometimes, I can relate to his frustrations. I mean, what else is more frustrating than when people purposely choose not to follow EVEN simple guidelines ? Etta Rosales does not have the right to say, "If you don't respect the law, it would also affect you and your family." because she does not really respect law with how she did her job as a human rights chairperson. She's so equally misguided with her being overly lenient which in turn, has she thought that her own loved ones are in danger if she doesn't take action against criminals and instead defends their rights? The more I think about the idiocy of the  Commission of Human Rights office, the more I see that specific government office has been defending the people's right to impunity  than the rights of the victims. Whenever I read a person who harms another out of self-defense getting charged with criminal ac

Many Filipinos Need To Learn That Just Because They Have The Capacity To Do It, Doesn't Mean They Should Do All The Wrong As They Please!

A lot of Filipinos focus on what they can do and what they want to do just because they can do it. Breaking rules is a norm for many Filipinos which may have worsened no thanks to the Commission of Human Rights and David Guerrero's slogan, " It's More Fun in the Philippines ". But as I love to raise the question, "How can the Philippines progress if many of its citizens refuse to even follow simple guidelines such as do not push the button ?" The whole problem is not just also political but also cultural since a lot of Filipinos refuse to change their culture of breaking rules. Considering Christmas and New Year is just around the corner, I felt like writing about this one considering that based on observation, people are more selfish during the holidays than any time of the year. I am reminded of some stupid people who even dare to say something as stupid as, " I will kill myself if I have to follow all those rules. " They complain that ru

If DILG Secretary Mar Roxas Can't Delegate Work, What Good Will That Do When He's President?

Just look at the picture above folks. Do you see Mar Roxas is doing a lot of stuff like when he does menial jobs just to get attention? Now I have nothing against the affluent doing menial jobs, in fact I don't find it degrading at all. The problem is not Roxas doing menial jobs but the fact that while he does his menial jobs or rides the MRT, he has shown signs that he possibly cannot lead. Anybody can do menial jobs but there must be delegation involved. What Mar Roxas should be doing is to show us not only can he do menial work but that he can actually lead workers to do better work . An example would be he should show how he can promote harmony in the workplace. It just reminded me of how I decided to apply process tasking to manual labor which in turn promoted efficiency and effectiveness among the workers. Joining in with them as an extra hand is not much of a difference if there is nobody to lead. I would want to vote for somebody who shows his leadership skills, not

Mar Roxas' Flip Flopping Anyone?

The picture above from Showbiz Government shows how Mar Roxas had changed his stand last year 2000 and how fifteen years later (?) as who might be President Benigno Simeon "Nobita" C. Aquino's successor, I really must say that this guy is a flip-flopper. First he wants to start basic economic reforms to open up the economy then later, he thinks the Constitution is not our stumbling block? I just wonder what is this guy thinking when he thinks that it's not a priority to remove the Anti-FDI (Foreign Direct Investment) from our constitution. Please, don't give me Heneral Lunatic's stupid excuse  since I wonder how much of history has that guy studied, if he did it must be from history books from DepEd which are very biased. It is true that protection needs to be offered to local businesses but not at the cost of employment.  What might be worse is that many Filipinos are also lacking knowledge in even basic economics . The natural law of supply and demand

A Nation Filled With Mostly Lazy People Deserves A Lazy Ruler

Do you remember the story of Juan Tamad? Although I've only read the story where he gets away from his laziness and becomes a diligent man, most of the stories he's been known for are his being lazy like when he told the crabs to go to his house rather than bring them home. The same goes for President Benigno Simeon "Nobita" Cojuangco Aquino III who might be best described as "Noy Tamad" if we have Juan Tamad. The funny Photoshop above may show what kind of people are common among many Filipinos. I still remembered the old campaign garbage that said, "Kung walang korupt ay walang mahirap." or "If there are no corrupt people, there will be no poor people." Isn't getting out of poverty your OWN responsibility? If you look at developed countries that are still in power, they do not get the poor out of their poverty and the poor must get out of their poverty. If certain poor people in developed countries were corruption index is so

Toady Casino's Selfie Shows How Hypocritical Or Self-Contradictory He Is!

Well this slapped pass by me but looking at this picture, Toady Casino has really exposed himself as a hypocrite in this situation but this is not the first incident. Taking a look at many of these ultranationalists, they protest against anything that does with opening up the economy. They are upholding the stupidity of Sariling Atin Only mentality . But in the midst of his ultranationalism, they are actually contradicting themselves with the fact that they are acting like as if they aren't using anything foreign or born out of foreign influence .  The same goes for Toady himself. If he is so against progress , he and his friends should have not taken a selfie in the first place. Filipinos did not invent the camera nor are there any cameras made in the Philippines and don't give me the excuse Filipinos work in that factory, the brand of that camera is not Filipino either. Smartphones that allow you to take selfies are a result of progress. To even pose this selfie on soci

Those Annoying Filipino Leftists/Ultranationalists Just Hate To Follow Rules, Don't They?

Just take a look at this meme of the protesters against APEC. If one is travelling along the roads, just look at all the vandalism they do to public properly. I would understand that there is freedom of expression but like any freedom, there is a limit. Just because I have the freedom of speech does not mean I have the right to shout or speak when it's not called for.  These activists are really displaying that annoying trait many Filipinos have namely their refusal to follow simple guidelines . If many Filipinos just keep refusing to follow simple guidelines then don't expect progress. Looking at the leftists, many of them just hate to follow rules because they think having strict rules like Singapore is being draconian . These guys tend to appeal to the slogan of David Guerrero  which which may have promoted a culture of impunity . A lot of Filipinos have the tendency to have a dysfunctional sense of freedom as shown by the picture. They are also fond of promoting

These Memes Show How Ignorant And Stupid Those Ultranationalists Can Get!

It's something to use social media to promote ultranationalism which is an act of hypocrisy . Face the facts - Filipinos DID NOT invent social media, the Internet, gadgets, etc. and neither are they made in the Philippines and why in the world are ultranationalists still using them? I thought they hated foreigners and only want Pinoy Pride? Oh boy, be ready for all the contradictions! This meme using Alma Moreno is trying to dismiss any progress in the Philippines due to foreign investment. For starters, I don't even want to endorse the Elizabeth Taylor of the Philippines as a Senator. I am already sick and tired of seeing how often many Filipinos keep voting for STUPID PEOPLE into power . Instead of voting for more qualified people into power they instead choose people based on winnability instead of credibility. Looking at this annoying meme, I am really getting ready for the possibility that Kris Aquino may be president someday . Going back to the meme, to say that t

This Pinoy Is Not Ashamed To Work As A Janitor While Studying In Australia!

Remembering that incident several years ago of some Filipinos who were complaining about the "offensive" Hong Kong textbook that called Filipinos as "domestic helpers ", now here's somebody Ic an proudly call a "bagong bayani" or "new hero". This is a Pinoy who works in Australia as a janitor and he is not ashamed to do menial work unlike some butthurt ultranationalists who whined about that textbook. What did they think Filipinos are? Rulers of the world? Get real Sad to say but a lot of Pinoys are nothing more than whiny crybabies who are occupied with their Pinoy Pride . It's a sad fact really but  a lot of Pinoys belittle manual labor  which I might give credit to their " haciendero mentality ". I noticed a lot of Pinoys tend to belittle menial tasks and even if it's a Pinoy authority that tells them to pick up the piece of paper, they show how "tough" they really are. It's no wonder why progress doe

The Statement "You'll Never Be Cheated In The Philippines" Is A Blatant Lie

Even after Mr. Banh the Vietnamese had returned home safe thanks to Singaporeans who helped him out of his predicament from a tourist trap store, this comment came to my mind because of the Tanim Bala incident, now for that same stupid comment that I shared in a very old post I wrote last year (which included Mr. Banh): It's pure harassment, swindling, robbery, holdup, to a foreign tourist who came from a 3rd world country. Do you think they will do that to a foreigner who came from a developed country. Is this a normal practice in Singapore that they don't explain 1st to the customer the way the warranty should be charged. I said harassment because they threatened the customer that they will not give $600 refund if he call the police. In UNITED KINGDOM, warranty is optional but they charged it 10% of the selling price good for 1 year.  I thought Singapore POLICE is very tough when it comes to customer complain much more Mr Banh is a foreign tourist? Mr Banh the nex

The Tanim Bala Scam Is No Joke

Until now, I can't still forget what some person really said like, "You'll never be cheated in the Philippines." to some Vietnamese who got conned in Singapore (but the situation is now solved). Now it's time to talk about one very hot issue called the "tanim bala scheme" going on. If this goes on, Philippine tourism can die down which in turn will also hurt the economy. Looking at the "tanim bala scheme", here's how it works according to ABS-CBN News  which I don't really trust and I take their news with a grain of salt...   This has to be an inside job due to how effective and efficient it's been going on. What happens is that they look at the potential victim perhaps those who they deem has a lot of money.

Some Stupid Ways That Many Filipinos May Die From Their Willful Neglect To Follow Simple Guidelines

It's really a problem that a lot of Filipinos refuse to follow even simple guidelines . When I'm asked, "What good did you do for the country? You're not a hero ." but I can always raise this up that I try my best to follow simple guidelines. Guidelines are commands - they are not merely suggestions. Whoever thinks they are merely suggestions really needs to consider their own well-being because people can die from their willful neglect to follow simple guidelines. If people can get harmed because of people who refuse to follow guidelines, then people can also die as a result of not following simple guidelines. Here's a few examples of how people can die for not following simple guidelines which I hope I can expand this list: 1.) Traffic mishaps  The road is one huge source of disasters. A pedestrian can die when they are run over by a speeding car because they crossed the road when they aren't supposed to. A person can die as a result of drunk dr

Many Filipinos Can't Expect Progress If They Refuse To Follow The Simple Command Of, "DO NOT PUSH THE BUTTON"

Looking at this picture by Peter Griffin, I can think about people who can't follow simple guidelines . Do you remember my example at Ocean Park ?  I am saddened to think but most people not only refuse to follow guidelines but refuse to see why the guidelines are in place. With this picture of Peter Griffin, one has to think of why guidelines do exist.  What's the reason for guidelines anyway? It's for peace and safety on both sides. Let's just think of the situation of "DO NOT PUSH THE BUTTON". Now let's think about the situation of facilities that have it like power plants where disaster level is very high. People need strict guidelines in that place not only because of employee safety but also because of public safety. Just think what if people decided to push the button and it was let's say an alarm or activates any function like a water sprinkler or worse, self-destruct mechanism. If they press that button for fun, well just prepare fo

Many Filipinos' Love For Gossiping About Other People Prove They Have Small Minds!

I have noticed with the many stupid people I met and meet, I ask them what's their favorite show. Some of them mention their favorite show is Kris TV or in the past, the show of the late Inday Badiday to name a few shows. If they are watching anything imported, they are usually focus on gossip shows rather than educational shows. One possible line that might have been said by Kris TV viewers might be, "Oh good Sineskwela is no longer in ABS-CBN. Kris TV is much better and my child will learn more from it." It's not just the TV show but what you hear so often. Why not try riding a jeepney or a bus and notice what most Filipinos love to talk about. It reminded me one of them only talks about people. One of them even said, "Well talking about events and ideas is for small brainers." Wow, just wow and from what I have observed, many Filipinos have a very wrong definition of smart  which is none other than the culture of anti-intellectualism . This kind of at
