Ten Ways That Failipino Culture is Rewarding the Lazy Failipinos and Punishing the Diligent Filipinos!

It's time to tackle on how Failipino culture is rewarding the lazy and punishing the diligent. While I acknowledge that there are diligent and hardworking Pinoys but... there are some who  choose to become Failipinos . I am writing this article on behalf of hardworking Filipinos/Pinoys who are doing their best to make the Philippines a better country. To be honest, I may be Chinese by blood but I cannot deny that I am still inspired to write this post. One of the worst issues of the Philippines is the sin of laziness. Like it or not, the Filipino tends to get stereotyped by other foreigners to be lazy which in turn, the diligent Filipinos get overshadowed no thanks to Failipinos. Let us take a look at ten ways that Failipino culture is rewarding the lazy and punishing the diligent: Little Miss Late is a heroine for Failipinos 1.) Calling tardiness as "Filipino time" As I like to emphasize, being late should just be called "being late" and NOT  Fili...

The Failipino View Of Democracy Is A Dysfunctional Sense Of Freedom

After thinking about the late Cory Aquino, I thought that it's time to evaluate how do Failipinos/FLIPFAGs define democracy. Knowing how the sub-group of Filipinos known as Failipinos/FLIPFAGs define democracy is essential to understanding the dysfunctional sense of freedom that a lot of Pinoys ( who choose to become Failipinos ) have in their heads. Freedom itself can be defined as the state of being free, absence of coercion in choice of action, the quality or state of being exempt or released from something onerous and unrestricted use. Freedom like authority is not absolute but rather, these are two balancing forces that are necessary like heat and cold. However where there is freedom, there is also restriction. There is always my statement, "You can do what you want, just DO NOT break the rules." to people who think I believe that despotism (the polar opposite of a wrong view of democracy) works. Allow me to give a picture of freedom of doing what you want bu...

What the Philippines Can Learn from China's History

Some people tend to think negatively of China due to the facts like a lot of drug dealers are from China or that China is a Communist country.  China has its own fair share of blame.  However the Philippines can learn from some of its history namely with how China emerged from a sleeping dragon to an awakened dragon. China had the problems of rampant corruption and later economic protectionism thanks to the Maoist Regime as a foundation.  China suffered greatly under the corrupt leadership of Chiang Kai Shek (who later established Taiwan as a separate state from China) while Mao Zedong took over China.  Although China more or less was united under Mao Zedong but the Maoist regime had its own set of problems.  The Maoist Regime was a protectionist state that was driven into poverty. Later on, Deng Xiaopeng in spite of the infamous Tiananmen Square Massacre opened up the economy of China.  Even if China is a Communist state, by opening up the economy the...

The Possibility That Many Filipinos (Under FLIPFAG Category) Comment on Social Networks Without Reading the Posts!

I have read an article on how a lot of Filipinos tend to comment on Facebook without reading posts . When I think about it, I could actually share this experience I had with FLIPFAG trolls (whether they choose to remain Anonymous, use an alter ego but not everyone who does is a troll OR brave enough to use their real name) is just amazing on how often they are really point missers. So how often does that happen? I have noticed these comments I had in my personal blog , click to enlarge the image: Here's the first set of comments. So we see here "Anonymous" has already missed the point of the whole article. This shows the whole missing the point. He or she has not yet read the whole article has already reacted to the term "Failipino" without reading the whole area. Again, the person hasn't read the whole article and has missed the point just because the word "Failipino" is there. It's pretty much taking things OUT OF CONTEXT!

Why Ignoring The Problems of The Late Cory's Administration Is NOT Helpful For The Philippines

So I'll take the whole issue in context since today is EDSA Revolution day. No doubt the Marcos years were terrible except for its cronies , no doubt that the late Ferdinand E. Marcos Sr. was a dictator and that he had to be ousted. On the other hand, we cannot ignore the problems left behind by the Cory Administration in itself together with the good it produced. The problem of the late Cory's administration had some issues that had to be raised. While I refuse to believe everything bad I hear about Cory (take them with a grain of salt, Macoytards are just as dirty as Aquinotards), some mistakes of Cory should have been taken into consideration. The Cory administration was plagued with brownouts, pardoned coup plotters and lack of economic reforms. Most preferably to criticize is the 1987 Constitution's continuation of the oligarchy system which was previously provided by the 1972 Constitution. Treating Cory like she never made wrong is what is sliding down the count...

The Marcos Years: Laying Its Foundations For Further National Decay Of The Philippines?

Although the late Cory C. Aquino was definitely not that bright, but one has to think about the Marcos Regime. The Marcos Regime in itself was 20 years of human rights violation, abuse of power, oligarchy and the like and in short the Marcos years were NOT the best years of the Philippines . Just a note to some Noytards - just because I criticize Nobita or the Aquinos for them being in a political dynasty, IT DOES NOT MEAN I SUPPORT THE MARCOSES EITHER! At the same time, anything said against the Aquino that is from a Marcostard must be taken with a grain of salt due to extreme biases. Both sides are know to be manipulative liars... it's like choosing one con artist after the other. It made me think some people might think that it's best for another Marcos term namely with Ferdinand "Bongbong" Romualdez Marcos Jr. My reasons behind this is that for one, Bongbong wants to have his late father declared a hero when the latter is NOT a hero. I would also think of the u...

Four Good Reasons Why Foreign Investment IS NOT Foreign Invasion

I'm getting sick and tired of ultranationalist Failipinos who keep saying stuff like, "If we get rid of protectionism, if we allow foreigners to have higher degrees of ownership, foreigners will invade our country." Oh puh-lease, the whole idea is getting old and not to mention stupid. I would like to tackle on why foreign investment is NOT foreign invasion. Here are four simple reasons why foreign investment is NOT foreign invasion which totally makes FLIPFAG Economics 101 wrong on several levels: 1.) In the history of trading, foreign trading never has the merchant taking over foreign soil. Whenever a businessman does trade in a foreign country, he is not there to colonize the country. Rather, he does business there and must bow down to its head of state even if he has 100% ownership. That is like as the saying, "In Rome, do as the Romans do." There is a huge difference between the Spanish conquest and the Chinese trading with the Philippines. T...

The Philippines' Problem Of Anti-Intellectualism Prevailing In Society

While it's no doubt that there are intellectual Pinoys but one must question why, "Why do these intellectual Pinoys only succeed abroad?" That is a very good question to ask about why certain Pinoys make it big abroad but do not make it big in the Philippines. The Philippines as a majority is pretty much anti-intellectual. With that fact in mind, one should never wonder why the Philippines has No Direction . What does it mean to be an intellectual? Intellectual is "relating to the ability to think in a logical way." or "enjoying serious study or thought.". On the other hand, intelligent simply means, "having a high mental capacity.". Now here's the issue... it's possible to be dumb and intellectual at the same time, it's possible to be intelligent and stupid. Dumb only means slow learner, stupid is when a person purposely rejects intellectualism, sees he/she is wrong but refuses to accept it. It may be the problem of the Philipp...

Filipinos Need To Learn to Think Long Term!

Relax... it's not the end of the world...  Knowing that the One Direction concert will be on March 27, 2015 I just felt like this topic could have been been written earlier.  Instead, I thought I'd write about it that some people just don't think long term.  I have seen other issues worth getting mad about like the pork barrel scam, Abu Sayyaf terrorism (and they have pledged allegiance to ISIS already) and the recent SAF killings.  These are really much bigger problems worth crying and worrying about. Backtracking, I can't forget the One Direction ticket incident.  While it's not entirely wrong to buy the ticket , however the incident proved a lot of stuff wrong about Filipino society.  Some people may have bought the VIP ticket without thinking of other expenses rejoicing it completed them and they can already die.  When the VIP tickets got consumed, some ensued into a mini-chaos.  Then the tickets ran out which made me think... oh my what ...

Get Rid of the "Filipinos Are Always Oppressed" Mentality

Knowing that March is next month, I would like to write against the idea that "Filipinos are always oppressed." I have raised the issue of China actually doing something right by executing the three drug mules , a FLIPFAG had said that I'm a hypocrite in raising it. The person probably thinks that China doesn't punish its own citizens. While it's true that a lot of Chinese are involved in the drug trade, however China won't plead for them if they are caught in other countries. China has had dealt with crime in its own country with swift action just as it's dealing with problems in its own country (ex. pollution) with swift action. As a Chinese by blood, I could care less even if majority of the convicted criminals are Chinese, they deserve execution just as much as the three Filipino drug mules. The idea of "Filipinos are always oppressed" may have started in March 17, 1995 (the Flor Contemplacion incident) and not during the Spanish colonizat...

It's Time to Encourage Learning Mandarin for Filipinos!

With China as an awakened dragon in business along with Chinese-speaking states like Singapore, Taiwan and Hong Kong; one may see the importance of learning Mandarin.  Mandarin itself has become more emergent than Nihonggo and Spanish.  Now this is not a call to make the Philippines pledge allegiance to China but to encourage the learning of Mandarin aside from improvement of one's English. Mandarin itself has been emerging in the past.  I remembered I pretty much hated studying my ancestral language until I was 18 years old.  The rising trend of Chinese drama like F4's Meteor Garden started a new trend.  In the past, Japanese entertainment in the form of Anime was the trend.  Today we have the Korean fad.  Yet one cannot deny that with Chinese businessmen here and there, learning Mandarin would be a great advantage.  Chinese are probably the most widespread people around the world among Asian countries. So why would I emphasi...

China Did The Right Thing to Execute the Three Drug Mules

Although China is a Communist country but at times, it has displayed a better sense of governance than the Philippines.  One of the situations that would be included is the execution of the three drug mules.  That day started to raise some Anti-Chinese sentiments causing such stupid comments to appear in social media.  Some people called China as non-humanitarian and barbaric for executing the three drug mules.  Some of them even appealed to the victim card mentality  saying stuff like the drug mules didn't know that they were really bringing drugs.  However the careful three year investigation period proved that they willingly brought in the drugs.  A frame-up would have been different, they really brought in the drugs. Looking at this, narcotics are harmful drugs.  In Chinese history, the Imperial Chinese state suffered under the opium war which resulted to the deaths of a lot of Chinese.  I would assume China always kept that in mind. ...

Understanding the Role Of Chinese in Filipino Culture

Since it's Chinese New Year, one must understand the history of Filipino-Chinese in the Philippines. As culture evolves, cultural exchange happens. Like it or not, even before the Spanish came, the Chinese already traded with the pre-colonial natives. Pinoy natives have traded with the Chinese merchants. In the process, Chinese traders would have introduced porcelain and silk as part of the trading process to the natives. Later on, some Chinese still stayed even after Spain had claimed the archipelago, naming it after King Philip I of Spain. An infamous incident led to the massacre of some Chinese but that didn't stop their history. Overtime, some Chinese have had their surnames changed, some married into Spanish and Filipino occupants. Later on, some of those who would rebel against the Spanish Empire were also Chinese. In the history of Chinese people who became Filipinos, hence Filipino-Chinese, we get some important figures. My history teacher stated that Jose Rizal wa...

Why Anti-Chinese Prejudice Will NOT Help the Philippines

Considering it's Chinese New Year, I would like to write this bit of eye opener. I've been a victim of Failipino pride and their saying, "We Pinoys are the greatest." Now as I always say, not every Pinoy is a Failipino. Again, they are point missers and love to do so. There have been ongoing anti-Chinese sentiments thanks to some cases in the past. It reminded me of how after the Flor Contemplacion execution, I was bullied by Failipinos who called me a "murderer" and Chinese as murderers. Some of these Failipinos viewed the best Philippines as one that will have no Chinese in it, only Pinoys. More Anti-Chinese sentiments were renewed for the worse by Failipinos during the Elizabeth Batain, Ramon Credo and Sally Villanueva execution. The three were executed on March 30, 2011 after a three year investigation. After they were found guilty, the Chinese government had them executed by lethal injection. China is serious with its war on drugs. For a Communist co...

Kris Aquino, Kristards and the Jealousy Delusion!

I have written about the jealousy delusion because people think that just because I launch some degree of criticism that I am jealous. What must be understood that critics and criticism are like fruits and leaves, you sort them out. There is good criticism and bad criticism so it's always about sorting them out. It's time to address Kris Aquino and Kristards with their delusion of people being jealous with them or the Aquinos. I have noticed that even in the past, I have always been accused of being jealous whenever I address how overacting and irritating Kris Aquino is on TV. I always called her an attention whore which makes me want to smash her head across the wall. Whenever I say something against Kris, I am automatically told, "You are just jealous of Kris. She is famous and you are not." Kristards are always willing to defend their "goddess" no matter what. And why is that? It's just because she is a daughter of the late Ninoy and the late Cory...

David Guerrero's Slogan Is A Tourist Trap!

A deadly tourist trap indeed! It's catchy, it's "hit na hit" but the truth is stranger than fiction, isn't it? When you think of David Guerrero's ghastly slogan, it can be attractive but the problem has always been this. The slogan is misused and abused one too many times to the point it creates a culture of dysfunction . At the same time, it can serve as a clever tourist trap to gullible tourists. I can probably name Muricans to be among them aside from nations worse than the Philippines. I can also think that if David Guerrero was not high on drugs, he must have been thinking about he must have been designing a tourist trap. The slogan adding "more" is deceptive. One could have just said, "It's Fun To Be in the Philippines" but as said, no amount of sloganeering will ever change the truth . It just reminded me of "Jaws" where the mayor purposely sugar coated the truth that a massive shark attack was there. The whole slo...

Was It Really Wrong to Purchase That EXPENSIVE TICKET For One Direction?!

Knowing One Direction's concert will be next month, I am thinking of the issue of the pricey ticket.  Personally, I wouldn't buy the ticket even with the fact that I have more than enough money.  I can buy the ticket, I won't starve but I could have bought something better or donated the money to charity.  However it's not entirely wrong and it can be wrong depending on the scenario. For one, nothing is wrong with buying a ticket that expensive if you lots of money.  It's not just have the money, it's that you have lots of money.  For example, I can buy the ticket and not starve or be buried in debt.  Some people may want to reward themselves for a once in a lifetime event for all their hard work.  As long as they are using their OWN MONEY and they aren't borrowing money to buy the ticket then it's not wrong.  In these scenarios, buying the ticket isn't wrong.  However I choose not to because it's just impractical for me. However it can ...

Stop Treating the Aquinos Like Royalty!

Sooner or later... THIS WILL BE THE NEW 5OO PESO BILL! Here's the reality that we must face. It's true that Ninoy Aquino did oppose the late Ferdinand E. Macoy's unreasonable regime, it's true that Cory was part of EDSA BUT the revolution had its own bad fruits too. That is the "yellow revolution" which has treated the Aquinos like royalty. It has affected the Philippines one way or another. Besides, this current incompetent administration backed by ANC News (ABiaS-CBN's news network) has denied the ongoing problems while just saying the Philippines is Asia's next miracle. Nobita is president not for who he is but only because of his parents... So what's the instance of free riding? President Nobita is really just free riding on his parents plus he's even breaking some rules of the 1987 Constitution by allowing DAP and PDAF. While the 1987 Constitution should have removed the Macoy 1972 Constitution's protectionism but it also went ...

Apparently, President Nobita Ignored These Words From His Father Ninoy!

President Nobita should have heeded to these words! Has Nobita been studying? Apparently not! Nine years as a Senator and NO BILL, NO LAW, NO ACHIEVEMENT... only sleeping on the job and goofing off. No humility whatsoever... President Nobita is being arrogant in his term. These words should have been slammed on President Nobita's face during the declaration of the anti-cybercrime law. To declare libel on anyone who criticizes the poor performance of anybody in power is no different than late Ferdinand E. Macoy's repressive policies. Seeking to silence critics, President Nobita has to realize this. He can lock everyone up for criticizing his poor performance but the truth cannot be changed. President Nobita doesn't realize these words can go against him when he made the anti-cybercrime law constitutional. Also these words are different from President Nobita's "Pwede Na Yan" policy. In spite of all the neglect he did from the Rolando Mendoza Incid...

Maria Jerika Ejercito is RIGHT to Call Kris Aquino a BULLY!

Kris Aquino is a bully, no questions asked.  Either you agree with her or you don't and I noticed how often many of her fans are really trolls.  Remember a troll does not necessarily use a fake account or a pseudonym.  A troll is someone who seeks to derail conversations and irritate people whenever they can even with their real account, maybe in an attempt to show how brave they are.  Likewise, Kris Aquino is a real troll herself who derails conversations.  She always uses her power and affiliations to bully people... and her fame. And yes, Sherap's daughter is right about Kris.  All Kris does is bully people, have that dysfunctional sense of entitlement just because she is an Aquino, her mom became president before and her brother is the president now and that the Aquino clan has its influence.  To be honest, she is right.  Kris is a bad critic because she only gives criticism but cannot take it.  She is a very good example why the Phili...

The Failipino is a Destructive, Unfair Critic But Can't Accept Constructive Criticism!

Failipinos have the attitude that they are very good at unfairly criticizing others but can't accept criticism themselves. A bigger picture is that Failipinos are destructive critics. That is, they are not helpful critics. All they do is point out the problem but never offering a solution. A criticism as defined by the dictionary may mean to measure the merits and demerits of a person in sound and reasonable judgment. A good critic gives every merit and credit where credit is due. They are quick to point out everything wrong even when nothing is wrong (which is really not the case, there's always something wrong in everything and everyone). In their case, they are self-centered, they tend to think they are above everyone, some of them even think they are always right all the time even when the facts prove them wrong, they think every last criticism against them is an act of hate becasue they hurl criticisms destructively, not constructively. I would like to share the exampl...

Grace Poe is Right to Call for Alan Impurisima's Resignation!

Sad to say, only a few people in authority are doing their job and one of them is Grace Poe.  After berating the MRT's service and that it needs to be fixed, Grace Poe now calls for the resignation of suspended PNP Chief Alan Impurisima .  So far, this action has made her stand out from other senators who are just treating their job as, "It feels good to be a senator." type of mentality. With how Impurisima is moving with unexplained wealth, luxurious living and now the Mamasapano operation.  What really makes the Nobita Administration really dumber than that of Sherap was this - Sherap chose to step down after his scandal (even if he had the gall to run as president after COMELEC allowed him to and lately he's a mayor again).  On the other hand Nobita or Abnoy just refuses to take account, blames Gloria for everything and hasn't taken much or if not has not taken any action against Impurisima.   I would agree with Ms. Poe that Impurisima has a LOT ...

I Salute Juday's Brave Criticism Against President Nobita!

Juday (Judy Ann Santos) has made a brave move to criticize the irresponsibility of President Benigno Simeon "Nobita" Cojuangco Aquino.  One must really think that while President Obama cancels schedule to meet returned bodies of fallen troops, President Nobita refused to do so and pushed through with the Mitsubishi Plant inauguration.  The whole issue is Mitsubishi's factory is not as important as the 44 dead SAF soldiers.  What kind of a president would ignore that?  Just think even Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo had MUCH BETTER dignity in spite of corruption charges, to meet the fallen bodies of soldiers.  Even Sherap Estrada has better brains than President Nobita! While I would admit that President Nobita did declare a national day of mourning for the slain soldiers BUT I cannot deny his stupidity.  So what if he was invited to the Mitsubishi plant inauguration?  Meeting the returned bodies of fallen troops is FAR MORE IMPORTANT than attending an ina...

Exposing The Hypocrisy of Anti-Chinese Failipinos

Considering it will be Chinese New Year, I would like to address the hypocrisy of Anti-Chinese Failipinos. They always had their "Philippines for Filipinos only..." and they have their twisted definition of nationalism . Yes they are Filipinos but they are the sub-category called Failipino, not the sub-category called the decent Pinoy . One of their biggest hatred would be Chinese. Like it or not, a Filipino is someone who is a CITIZEN of the Philippines. It's not just limited to Pinoys, it's to every person who pledges allegiance to the Philippines as a citizen. Sad to say but Failipinos are the bad type of Pinoys. Being Pinoy is not a bad thing, it's when a Pinoy chooses to be a Failipino that is a bad thing . As I said, being Failipino is a choice, again point missers don't get it do they? I am writing this article to expose the hypocrisy of Anti-Chinese Failipinos. The Obsession with "Pure Pinoy" Is A Misguided Delusion As a Filipino-Chin...

What Then Is Filipino Nationalism?

Nationalism is a trait that is either good or bad.  Nationalism is defined as, "Loyalty or devotion to one's country."  However it has more than one meaning which proves the word is either positive or negative.  Jose Rizal had a strong love for his country that he wanted reforms for the Philippines and raised up the issues that made the Philippines a bad country.  A sense of nationalism led Andres Bonifacio (who has Chinese blood) to lead the revolt against Spain when all else failed.  However when taken wrongly, nationalism can also mean feeling that one's country is superior over the others better called as "ultra-nationalist" which is bad for the country (ex. Manuel Quezon's desire for a bad country ran by Filipinos than a good country ran by Americans). The word "nationalism" can be more often than times misused.  Maybe it's been more misused than David Guerrero's slogan .  Remember that David Guerrero's slogan was inspired by...
