An Open Letter to Peacekappia for December 31, 2014

Peacekappia commented on this post : I'm a Filipino and even I agree with all the points made. I hate the Victim/Slave Mentality that is prevalent in our culture. It's hard to admit but I tend to be very critical when it comes to Filipinos claiming to be raped/abused especially when the accused is a foreigner. And the activist groups supporting them, splashing their names in the media, clearly have their own agendas outside of fighting for rights. About Filipino drug mules and such convicted of their crimes? Most, if not all, went into their situations with eyes wide open. I say, let them take accountability for their decisions. They wanted easy money, decided to commit a crime and got caught. Easy as that. Why waste tax payer's money to let the Vice President travel abroad and make useless appeals? What the Philippine government should do is make sure that trials are done fairly then accept the judicial decision. No need for media posturing. Don't even get me star

Giving TOO MUCH Emphasis on the Dingdong/Marian Wedding?!

Biggest event of the Doraemon series... President Nobita attends the wedding of the TV station that used to air him every afternoon as a child! I have nothing against Dingdong Dantes marrying the love of his life Marian Rivera.  It's about time they tied the knots.  However some things were really wrong and President Nobita himself showed it.  Unfortunately it's a common problem among Filipinos (and those self-contradictory Failipinos) to give TOO MUCH emphasis on entertainment they are willing to pull off ridiculous stunts.  Who can forget the One Direction ticket line where people CAMPED just to get the ticket (which resulted to a mini-chaos) OR someone filed a sick leave to attend the Rurouni Kenshin: Kyoto Inferno event?  It's always a culture of "Celebrities First", a disease Pinoys have caught from Americans. So what's the problem here?  The wedding was overly extravagant in this sense.  Roads closed from 7 AM to 9 PM for THIS WEDDING?!  That's

Protectionist Loving Failipinos DESERVE Their Shitty Services!

One must address the issue of economic protectionism is a major problem. Why is that? It's overly protective with the policy that foreign firms may only own 40% and Filipinos own 60%, which is unfair. For what reason? Why are Filipinos allowed to own 50%-100% ABROAD while foreigners may only own 40% ownership in the Philippines. It's because it's a sore loser culture and worse, protectionism is a result of the 1972 Constitution (under Marcos) and the refusal of the 1987 Constitution (under Cory) to correct that mistake. The so-called justification of protectionism is done under the name of nationalism and democracy. Sad to say but it looks like that because most Filipinos are Failipinos, not the enlightened Filipino then economic protectionism is also what the people want. After all, isn't democracy a government for the people, BY THE PEOPLE and OF THE PEOPLE? Sad to say but Philippine democracy is usually misguided... numbers makes right all the time. Which in tu

Failipino Media And Glorifying The Victim Card Mentality

It's no doubt there is the reality of the rich oppressor and the oppressed poor. That's the reality of places especially where the gap between rich and poor is that big from the Philippines to South American countries to countries like Bangladesh. However, we must note that not all rich people are oppressors and not all poor people are oppressed. Racism against Filipinos can be real in any ethnocentric country but note that Filipinos are NOT the only victims. Let us try to be critically minded about the issue and what the Failipino media portrays. This is always about the Victim Card Mentality which in short is, "I am never wrong because I am the victim." That is what is pretty wrong with the Failipino mindset and it is very glorified in media. One of the worst offenders if not the worst offender is ABiaS-CBN. More often than not, I am getting fed up with the constant influx of Failipino entertainment. Am I non-nationalistic to choose quality shows from my ancestra

The Painful Experiences Of Most OFWs During The Holiday Season!

I wrote an article on why most OFWs usually remain poor . Now it's time to see the woes of most OFWs during the holiday season. Like it or not, most of them aren't able to go home because not every country celebrates Christmas (ex. Middle Eastern countries). One can consider the reality of the OFW especially when it comes to relathieves to take them for granted. From what I have observed a lot of them are into menial jobs or graveyard jobs. For example, jobs like being domestic helpers and nurses aren't easy to leave posts. Again, no job is. For countries like Singapore, some of their bosses may consider giving a Christmas break. However not all country respects that... and if you are in their country, you have to comply with the observance of ANY occasion they do. Like some of them may give you a holiday depending on what goes on. The real scope is most OFW families don't consider the difficulty of working abroad. While some do but most don't. Some may have t

The Need To Eliminate Lifestyle As An Indicator Of One's Wealth From Pinoy Thinking!

I guess by now a lot of Christmas presents were already dispersed, Christmas parties were done and New Year parties are coming... by now I thought about lifestyles. As a Filipino-Chinese who grew up in the midst of FLIPFAGs and boastful people, they will praise anybody as "rich" because of lifestyle and then anybody who has a modest lifestyle is immediately assumed to be "poor". However there are some contraries that need to be addressed against the Failipino mindset of who's rich and who's poor. In my own experience, I was called "poor" because I didn't have all those cool stuff back in the 90s. Back then, the most advanced video game console I soon had was a Playstation. For them, they had to have every last console, never mind they don't have all the time to play the games right? There were now obsolete game systems the Super Nintendo, Sega Megadrive... then today we have spoiled children who get the latest game system, the latest gad

The Mentality That "Seniors and Authorities Are Always Right" Hinders Progress In The Philippines

There is always the value of filial piety but respect is a mutual cycle. Authorities and subordinates are required to respect each other. The problem of some Failipinos is that they believe in the value that, "Because I'm older then I'm always to be followed." This is the problem that creates a cycle of mistakes one way or another. At home, we have the mentality that "parents are always right"... it's just as bad as overindulging the children because it breeds rebellion. It's more often than not how I see some Pinoy parents who think they are always right. Again, the problem is not exclusive to Pinoys but also to a lot of Asian countries. While it's important to teach respect for authority but respect is a mutual cycle, not a parasitic process with the superior being acting as the parasite. This mentality is also sometimes why some businesses fall down. For example, the son may have learned new business methods to mix with the old. However

What Firecracker Injuries During Christmas And New Year May Tell Us About Failipino Culture!

Firecrackers seem to be integrated into Christmas and New Year. However there's been a list of prohibited firecrackers that continue to persist in Failipino culture, even if some Filipino authorities have already and clearly BANNED THEM for being too dangerous. The move of having strict raids against firecrackers dwindled down firecracker related injuries. Now I could also take what firecracker injuries may tell us about Failipino culture. This can all be linked to the misguided notion of happiness by the Failipino . Remember getting injured by firecrackers is NOT more fun in the Philippines nor anywhere else around the world. Firecracker injuries happen because of the bad habit of not following guidelines. One may consider the problem from not following the GUIDELINES in the package to actually selling dangerous firecrackers prohibited by law. Some of these are like the watusi, piccolo, super lolo, triangle, mother rocket, Judas belt, big bawang, kwiton, kabasi and "G

Post-Christmas and Post-New Year Woes Among Failipinos!

It's a common problem to have post-Christmas and post-New Year woes. The typical Pinoy mindset is set on fiestas over hard work, one wants to have a lavish celebration , isn't it any wonder why many Pinoys remain poor? I hope I can write this as an eye opener. Let's take a look at that one advantage during Christmas. There is the Christmas bonus or 13th month pay. It means receiving a huge amount of money. The typical Pinoy's or Failipino's attitude towards money is something that every enlightened Filipino (Pinoy or not) rejects. The Failipino attitude towards money is to spend whatever is available. It's pay day (15th or 30th working day of the month), it's time to SPEND and SPEND. Christmas bonus? It's time to even SPEND SOME MORE. Christmas bonus not enough? Loan some cash and they hardly pay it back. Can't afford? Charge the money to their credit cards. Sad to say but these values were imparted by the Imperial Spanish and the Muricans to the P

How "It's More Fun in the Philippines" is Creating a Culture of Dysfunction!

Hee hee hee... DON'T MAKE ME LAUGH! It's no secret that the tagline is catchy. However it has become more deceptive campaign than anything else when you look at the truth . I still can't get over that IDIOT who gave such a preposterous invitation to a Vietnamese who got tourist-trapped in Singapore . I would like to raise how David Guerrero's marketing slogan is not only preposterous (the word "more" is not needed) but also, it has created a culture of dysfunction. Knowing that Christmas, New Year and more are just around the corner... I felt like writing this article as well. I would like to say first, the word "more" is not even necessary. It's the entire problem of the slogan. It seeks to derail the rest of the world as non-fun places to get people to come to the Philippines. It almost reminds me of Pinocchtiu ahem Pinocchio. Pinocchio had the story of the fox and the cat as well as that of the land of toys. The fox and the cat conned Pin

This Pasay Post Office Incident IS NEVER MORE FUN IN THE PHILIPPINES!

Here's a video of the Pasay Post Office incident.  Just note that Pasay is a municipality that makes up Imperial Manila.  So really, corruption is so rampamt, STILL MORE FUN IN THE PHILIPPINES?!  That mantra by David Guerrero may be viewed as nothing more than a scam to keep people "positive" in spite of the real problems that the Philippines needs to deal with.  Fortunately the incident is GOING VIRAL and I hope it will humiliate those corrupt people for their mistreatment of people. This is all I can say.  While those Failipinos continue to attack countries like Taiwan, Japan and especially Singapore as "everybody's favorite tyranny", one can consider this incident is a real tyranny.  The child waited FOR A YEAR for his toys.  And guess what... they had to pay PHP 2,300.00 for "fees" just to get it.  It was a present, not something to be sold.  Really how heartless can the Bureau of Customs in Pasay be?  I hope this video will make everyon

The Fiesta Mentality Keeps Many Pinoys Poor!

Knowing that it's Christmas and New Year around the corner, one may consider the reality that parties are inevitable. The word party can evoke many thoughts from a simple gathering to a really lavish party. Unfortunately a lot of Pinoys have the mentality that every celebration must be lavish is one bad mentality that must be killed. I feel like this article will be an eye opener to many Pinoys and an encouragement to decent Pinoys who have gotten over the Failipino mentality. Nothing is wrong with a celebration every once in a while. It's not wrong for a bank to house an annual party for its clients at a fancy hotel because they can afford to. However it has become a problem whenever a lavish celebration is treated as a "necessity" rather than a "want". When Metrobank donated to Yolanda, it decided to take a U Turn from its annual party because of a lack of money for that year. They were wise in choosing not to have that annual appreciation party becaus

Make It ILLEGAL for Establishments to Charge Higher Rates to Tourists!

Don't make me laugh! The Department of Tourism can go ahead and keep flashing the slogan "It's More Fun in the Philippines" but it's more of a tourist trap than the truth.  Sad to say but there's such a thing as a "local rate" and "tourist rate" though not all shops do the practice.  It's a crooked practice charges higher for tourists over locals.  In short, it's showing a wrong way of doing Filipino first. I remembered the "logic" behind why they charge tourists higher.  Some idiots even dare say it's because it's for love of country and patriotism.  But knowing through Failipino logic especially that of the typical resident of Imperial Manila, it's always their Pinoy Pride.  It's the self-centered behavior like saying foreigners may only own 40% in the Philippines while Filipinos should own 100% around the world.  Sad to say but the 1972 and 1987 Constitution were both cronyistic when it came to econ

Filipinos SHOULD CONDEMN NOT CONDONE Offenses Done By Fellow Filipinos!

I just read of two Chinese passengers that got into trouble for allowing their toddlers to poo on the seat which is a huge act of rudeness ( source ). Here's the response that made my day copied/pasted from the article: Following the incident, Chinese social network Weibo came alive with commenters expressing their disgust, many of whom condemned the family for embarrassing their homeland. It was nice to see how these Chinese people commenting at Weibo chose not to side with the family but rather, CONDEMN the couple for embarrassing their homeland. Reading some incidents in China with some unusually rude Chinese passengers, they were not even censored out by a supposedly Communist-controlled media. Instead, they were allowed to be shown. This shows that China while it is a COMMUNIST COUNTRY has a sense of accountability. One may want to recall the melamine scandal last 2008. What did China do to Zheng Xiaoyu? They EXECUTED HIM for his corrupt acts that otherwise brought Chin

Why Serfdom-Reliance and Protectionism Will Undo Any Economic Growth in the Long Run?!

Although the Marcos 1972 Constitution is gone but one rule was never removed when the 1987 Constitution was written - it was the rule of economic protectionism. While Cory had reduced presidential powers but the failure to correct any mistakes she made, isn't going to help. Nobody must look at Cory as some flawless being but a flawed human whose errors need to be rectified to bring improvement. So what's wrong? When the 1987 Constitution refused to revise the economic protectionism otherwise provided by the 1972 Constitution, it continued the SAME legacy of corruption, only under different names. While Cory was not a dictator but refusing to remove those provisions has caused two major problems - serfdom and the oligarchy. Let me discuss how these two aren't working. Serfdom It's typical for many Pinoys to think working abroad is glorious. Some of them have become as stupid to think Pinoys working over the world means the Philippines is taking over the world. The

Grace Poe is RIGHT About the MRT!

Still More Fun in the Philippines huh Mr. Guerrero?! Grace Poe, the adopted daughter of the late Fernando Poe Jr. and Susan Roces had given her assessment yesterday.  After watching it on GMA News, she's probably among a rare few to really show the reality of the MRT.  I also would link the Inquirer website to strike a point. Now what has she revealed?  The defects can be recognized as follows that NEED to be fixed: Unbelievably long lines. Poorly maintained escalators and elevators. CRs with non-working toilets plus they are very stinky Poor airconditioner. Grace Poe said it was a failing grade.  She was right.  Officials NEED to ride the MRT to see the severity of the situation that needs to be done.  Now it's time to share my reaction towards her.  This blog entry is in fact an open letter to Grace Poe commending her for showing the mistakes of the MRT that need to be fixed and that the government is in utter neglect. It's really a problem to keep flas

A Culture of Accountability Will Make It More Fun in the Philippines in the Long Run!

It's a problem in the Philippines to keep covering people up or to blame others because they want to appear "blameless and perfect" when the reality is, such stupid reasoning will only make you look more stupid when you fall down.  What makes Japan or Singapore a more ideal place in spite of problems?  Simple... they have officials who apologize even for the smallest mistakes or two, they clean up their own mess.  It's a trait that many Pinoys need to learn.  Nobody is perfect and the only way we can cope up is if we develop a culture of accountability. Now while I can't stand Miriam's bad temper or her attitude of siding with whoever's incumbent but one thing I can admire about her is this... her accountability.  I cannot forget how she bungled up and said something bad about China and immediately apologized the next day.  One may also consider how she even agreed to strike out the word "gago" from the records because she knew she was reall

Are Those Failipino COMMUNIST Groups REALLY Helping OFWs (In General) or Not?!

It's really something when a Filipino-Chinese like me gets to sit down with decent Pinoys who are fed up with leftists like Migraine International, Akbobo, Anak ng Bobo, Bobo Muna and Gabriela to name a few.  The problem has been there ever since Singapore justly and rightfully executed Flor Contemplacion after a three years FAIR investigation.  All these types of behavior are one of the many reasons why the Philippines gets a bad image. It came into my head when someone said that their actions actually aren't helping OFWs in general, maybe just Overseas Failipinos not the good Overseas Filipinos.  Come to think of it, I even hear that statement from Pinoys who are OFWs because they were planning to migrate and two, former OFWs who have gotten out of poverty unlike most OFWs who belong to the Failipino sector.  Some Pinoys I know even say, "You can't deny it but those groups are KSP or kulang sa pansin (lacking attention).  All they want is attention to further the

When Will Failipinos Learn to Separate Kris and State?!

It's something how Failipino media just continues to fail to uphold what's important. They are ignoring REAL threats like ISIS terrorists have teamed up with the local terrorist group called the Abu Sayyaf, the possibility of Ebola entering the Philippines (and the Philippines already has the Eh-Bola epidemic) and a possible attack from China (and the Philippines isn't ready). Instead, it's focused on stupid stuff like Kris Aquino, a plague that goes on worse than those annoying One Direction fantards who are taking their fandom of the boyband too far. The problem is how many times has it been since Kris and State aren't separated thanks to a democracy ahem democrazy?! Every problem with Kris becomes a national issue. The fight between Kris and Ruffa Guiterrez should have been kept private. Right now Kris gets an allergy, it becomes a headline. In the past, her love life is headline and everything she does is headline. Whatever wrong she does, a lot of people It

The NAIA 3 Incident is a Picture of FLIFPAG Culture!

This is one of the worst things that show the culture of arrogance and pettiness in Imperial Manila. To be honest, this is an Aliens vs. Predator battle meaning regardless who wins, we lose. So here's the scoop... we have a rude taxi driver vs. rude police officer. The police officer is Alejandro Pineda Jr. For one, both are in the wrong and BOTH should be punished. Here's an evaluation of what really happened: On the side of the taxi driver. He is GUILTY of disregarding traffic signs, obstruction, direct assault and resisting arrest. I would be pissed off if I were in the place of the police officer. However not that I condone to what the police officer is doing. On the side of the police officer. Now it's understandable if you are pissed off because of a rude taxi driver. However you DO NOT take the law into your own hands. The situation is no better than Steven Slater's Jetblue Flight Incident who attacked the uncooperative passenger, made some swearing

Why Fixing the Ninoy Aquino International Airport is Top Priority!

Remember sloganeering "It's More Fun in the Philippines" isn't going to change the truth. In business, sloganeering may help you get attention in the short run but word of mouth is far more powerful than sloganeering. David Guerrero may have been high on drugs when he wrote that slogan. Doesn't he realize also another problem with tourism can be the NAIA Airport? Based on my experience, the NAIA last 2007 had its fair share of problems. Rude staff, bad service, you have a lot of delays... and now it's gotten worse with President Benigno Simeon "Nobita" Cojuangco Aquino III. It wasn't that bad during the rule of former president Gloria Arroyo. President Nobita's system of mediocrity has caused problems to escalate even more. Airconditioning problems, debris problems and toilet problems are NOT a joke. Even last time, some passengers complained of the stench of the septic tanks and the very high temperature. Now how can the problems of the

Why Getting Mad at Other Countries For Executing GUILTY Pinoys Won't Help the Philippines

I just read the latest issue involving the execution of OFW, Carlito Lana (by beheading) last December 11, 2014 . He was executed for murdering a Saudi national. Right now, the government as always, tries to intercede. Again, the Philippines can always go back to one attitude that's making it bad for tourism - VICTIM CARD MENTALITY! I don't want to keep repeating myself but Migraine International (Migrante International) is already repeating the SAME victim card all over again and so are other groups like Gabriela. One can remember the Flor Contemplacion execution (for PROVEN MURDER) last March 17, 1995. On March 30, 2011 one can think of the deaths of Sally Villanueva, Ramon Credo and Elizabeth Batain who were CONVICTED DRUG MULES. So what's the real situation? They have vigils and ceremonies to hope to convince the other country not to execute justice on Pinoys who deserve it. Do these people have the mentality that if you are a Pinoy, you can do no crime? It remin

It's Time To Be an OFW With A Plan

The picture above is by Rose Fres Fausto...  I have written on why OFWs usually remain poor . Fortunately some Pinoys are OFWs who are Outstanding Filipino Workers not Overseas Failipino Workers. Sad to say but a lot of OFWs are Okay Fine Whatever... come back to the Philippines and two months later, they are out of money so they go abroad again. However it's time to change that mindset. Some Pinoys are doing their jobs properly abroad, some of them have their plans and it's time to salute OFWs who aren't Okay Fine Whatever but OFWs with a plan. What makes up an OFW with a plan?  Here are things to consider: 1.) Not supporting leeches such as fiends and relathieves These OFWs know the real reason why they are abroad. They know the sacrifice they are making is for the wife and children, not for leeches such as fiends and relatives. The balikbayan box is just for the nuclear family, nothing more. They don't consider it nationalistic but an act of foolish

Free Riding On Successful Pinoys Is NOT Going To Help The Philippines

The Pinoy Pride mentality always has their mentality to use successful Pinoys for their boasting, "Pinoys are the best race on Earth." Just because a certain Pinoy makes it big outside, it doesn't mean the whole Pinoy race is the best. Fact to be faced - there are always successful people as well as failures in every race and Pinoys are NOT the exemption! I don't deny there are successful Pinoys abroad. You have the likes of Lydia de Vega, Cecil Licad and Manny Pacquaio. Recently, I've even heard one Manga artist is a Pinoy. I don't deny the reality of the situation. However, one may consider that their success is NOT because they are Pinoy but because of their hard work and talent. It's okay to admire them and be proud of them but their victories DO NOT make the Pinoys the greatest race on Earth. As I've said, everyone's success is attributed to work and talent, not based on race. Pinoys who are hardworking and use their talent right wi

Philippines' Geography is a BIGGER REASON To Open Up the Economy!

Basic facts of geography of the Philippines should tell why the Philippines should open up its economy all the more. It's made of 7,107 registered islands and has some uncharted islands nearby. So that means, with all the waters surrounding the Philippines, common sense should tell that it needs to open up the economy. The three divisions are Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao. It is also made of the following regions. The National Capital Region (where Imperial Manila is), the Cordillera Administrative Region, Ilocos Region, Cagayan Valley, Central Luzon, CALABARZON region, MIMAROPA, Bicol Region, Western Visayas, Central Visayas, Eastern Visayas, Zamboanga Peninsula, Northern Mindanao, Davao Region, SOCCSKSARGEN, Caraga and ARMM. Can a few suppliers EVER supply these places? Here's why the Philippines' oligarchy system does not work in balancing supply and demand. Can an archipelago of 7,107 islands be supplied properly with just TWO ISPS, one-two power plants per region an
