Making It Fun in the Philippines

What's wrong with a lot of Filipinos today is that they tend to think that the son is like the father or should be like the father. It's more than time to also discuss the issues surrounding Bongbong Marcos and President Nobita Aquino. When President Nobita had his votes for the presidency - I guess it's all because of the stupid argument that, "Since Ninoy was a hero, Cory was a heroine therefore Nobita is also a hero." They voted for him in a vicious cycle of necropolitics . I wonder would he have won if the late Corazon Aquino did not die? Maybe, maybe not but I think it was all a sympathy vote. The late Cory became president only because her husband Ninoy was shot at what would be known today as the Ninoy Aquino International Airport. I guess these people also failed to remember that he didn't oppose the Marcos regime.

Considering that Rep. Neri Colmenares of Bayan Muna no scratch that, Bobo Muna Party List is running for Senator, I felt like writing this article. Listening to all his anti-foreign direct investment rants can be very annoying. If you love your country, you'll think about its welfare and not having that  stupid misplaced nationalism which is really hurting the country  as a whole. The ultranationalists tend to misunderstand and/or misuse the term " colonial mentality ". What they may be ignoring is that their stupid Failipino Pride is just as bad for the country as colonial mentality.

Well Happy 30th anniversary to the EDSA Revolution. With all the debate going on about EDSA-1, I really feel like writing this article to really say happy anniversary with a tone of sarcasm. Why? Even after the fall of the late dictator Ferdinand E. Marcos Sr., the whole Philippines still hasn't learned its lesson on why the nation is screwed up. Two factors really made the country in the slump it is right now namely the Marcos years and ignoring the mistakes of the late Corazon Cojuangco-Aquino's regime . Worse, Mar Roxas even thinks nothing is wrong with the current constitution which shows he's not fit to lead the country. People tend to say, "History repeats itself." It's true. There are some countries in the world that just keep overthrowing their corrupt government only to be replaced with another. Have you read the classic short story called "The Emperor's New Clothes"? I have read various versions or watched it animated. The story involved two swindlers who told the emperor that the can make such a marvelous cloth. Worse, they said that anybody who can't see the cloth was "stupid". People who didn't want to be considered "stupid" by the standards of the swindlers. When the day of the parade arrives, the emperor was either fully naked or just in his underwear (depending on which version). Everybody just pretended to see the "marvelous clothes" Suddenly, a child said, "The emperor is not wearing anything." or "Just in his underwear." depending on the version. What most people don't realize is that the story can still be related to today's society.

It's really stupid and annoying to have people blame foreigners for everything wrong in the Philippines. Those ultranationalist Filipino activists really make me do a million facedesks listening to their ridiculous claims. The more I think about their blaming of the elite (as if their actions do not benefit the oligarchs ) and then foreigners, the more I think do these guys even realize they are doing this nation a huge disservice? But first, let's focus on foreigners shall we? When it comes to them blaming foreigners, I really want to tell them that they should stop acting like they don't use anything foreign either or both in concept and production . During the time Senatorial candidate  Neri Colmenares spoke against foreign investment wasn't he using a microphone and didn't he use modern equipment that was obviously NOT made in the Philippines or Filipino in origin? Considering that February 25, 2016 is just around the corner as the 20th anniversary of EDSA-1 - I just thought I might really write something about the problem of Filipinos who refuse to tell the difference between discipline and tyranny . I even think that such people have the mentality of "I'll kill myself if I have to follow rules. " whenever there are guidelines to follow . How can the Philippines progress if so many people just refuse to follow simple guidelines, taking them as suggestions instead of taking them as commands to be followed? The issue has to be this that every time there is any proposal of it's time for some changes in the Philippines, they are really going to start whining in fear of policies. Aside from some of  the ultranationalists whining that economic liberalization will lead to a foreign invasion , there's always the problem of them hating having disciplinary laws to follow. As of recent, Bayan Muna or should they be called Bobo Muna even dares to call the modernization of the Armed Forces of the Philippines to be a "waste of money" . Some time ago, I decided to raise the question, "Do those stupid activists think that the Philippines can beat China ?" Then I always remembered statements from Bayan Muna activist members who say, "We don't need to modernize the Armed Forces of the Philippines." That of course deserves a thousand if not a not million facedesks from such morons.

One of the many reasons why the Philippines is in the dumps right now is because of the education system. Using that picture of Mar Roxas teaching children, I hope this article can drive a point to what's wrong with today's Filipino education system. I might as well share some of the problems dealt with today based on observation.  

As the term of President Benigno Simeon "Nobita" Cojuangco Aquino is coming to an end, it's time to really think of the problem of irresponsible voters . If you want to know whose fault is it that stupid people get into power then why don't you look at the voters themselves? President Nobita didn't get into power just by himself that even before the PCOS Machine came into power, he already had the support of the anti-intellectual majority . Remember all the preposterous promises and who can forget the promise, "Kung Walang Corrupt, Walang Mahirap"? Any president who promises to abolish poverty completely loses credibility for one good reason. A president may go ahead and liberalize the economy but getting out of poverty is your job . Even the most progressive nations still have poor people and corrupt officials. What makes President Nobita think that if there were no corrupt officials then there are no poor people? Yesterday was President Benigno Simeon "Nobita" Cojuangco Aquino's birthday which might be the reason why Sagasa 2016 was cancelled for a second time. As of right now, the soon to be ex-president is already 56 years old but has he gotten wiser? While it's important for young people to learn from the elderly because of the latter's experience but not all elderly give sound advice. The same happens with President Nobita during his birthdays especially when he was president. From Senator to President, I would definitely not want to take advice from him if I were running for politics. The reason is because his legacy of PNoy Pride  has only led to several problems like almost every other predecessor. You want proof of his immaturity? Kung Hei Fat Choi. Well one cannot deny that today is Chinese New Year and I feel like writing another "CoRRECT Philippines" type article. I have previously written articles on Anti-Chinese prejudice , now I feel like writing on the differences between Mao Zedong and Deng Xiaoping when it came the knowledge of economics. There's no doubt Mao Zedong was a brilliant military man who overthrew the regime of Chiang Kaishek and unified China. But the problem behind his economic policies was that he was idealistic. He simply ignored the basic rules of economics. When he sought to create an "equal society", he failed to see that equality and equity are based on case-to-case basis. By paying everyone whether they worked or not encouraged a system that rewarded the lazy and punished the diligent . It's Chinese New Year and I guess some people in the Chinese Community were anticipating for Sagasa 2016. But as said, Sagasa 2016 is the cancelled  and the movie is never coming out. It would have been national blockbuster. If it never happened during the New Year of the solar calendar, what makes you think it would happen in the New Year of the Lunar Calendar? Those two never made their promise to be run over by a train if they can't accomplish their project.

Well Chinese New Year is approaching and while 2016 has entered based on the Gregorian Calendar, it hasn't entered yet based on the Lunar Calendar. This year's Chinese New Year enters on February 8, 2016 and this picture does have some humor. January 1, 2016 could have been the entry of that would've been national blockbuster called Sagasa 2016 . Instead, it became a disappointment for some people that President Nobita didn't keep his word at all but wait, there's still Chinese New Year right? 

I have written on how stupid Rep. Neri Colmenares and Atty. Antonio Tinio can get with their real lack of common sense with economics. Now I feel the need to really address how xenophobia actually hurts the economy than help it. This reminds me of the stupid statement that says that developed countries progressed not through accepting foreign investments but through national land reform. That is a big lie because if they analyze how developed countries progress, you'll see that they accepted foreign investments and they succeeded through foreign investments. How can a nation have a real industralization and land reform without foreign investments?

The corruption and the rampant stupidity of the Bureau of Customs  (BOC) has all been about being unreasonable on normal citizens. You have them making people pay unjust fees while dangerous stuff like imported garbage, fake food products and narcotics making it in. As long as there's a lot of corrupt people at the BOC then expect all those dangerous stuff that I mentioned earlier and many more to enter the Philippines. The simple keywords are "bribery" and "corruption". The bigger problem is not bribery but people who accept the bribes. All the BOC may be caring about is their money than public interest.

After hearing that President Nobita still refuses to reduce tax rates , I really have to ask those Aquinotards this question, "Are you proud of the legacy of PNoy Pride  with high income taxes and overprotectionism?" When it comes to those Aquinotards, they really are a bunch of very stupid people . Be amazed, be very amazed when it comes to how these people really have a very backward knowledge about economics .

I'm so amazed no thanks to the incompetence of the President Nobita Administration  - the Ninoy Aquino International Airport or NAIA for short has further fallen apart no thanks to the Pwede Na Yan mentality . Just after the incidents involving taxi scammers, the laglag bala scam  and now you have reports of the ceilings falling apart. From stray bullet scams to collapsing ceilings to falling floors - these are not to be taken lightly because they kill one of the Philippines' most important industries namely tourism. The Philippines has the potential to be a real tourist dream but it can also die no thanks to the NAIA.
