Many Filipinos Can't Expect Progress If They Refuse To Follow The Simple Command Of, "DO NOT PUSH THE BUTTON"

Looking at this picture by Peter Griffin, I can think about people who can't follow simple guidelines . Do you remember my example at Ocean Park ?  I am saddened to think but most people not only refuse to follow guidelines but refuse to see why the guidelines are in place. With this picture of Peter Griffin, one has to think of why guidelines do exist.  What's the reason for guidelines anyway? It's for peace and safety on both sides. Let's just think of the situation of "DO NOT PUSH THE BUTTON". Now let's think about the situation of facilities that have it like power plants where disaster level is very high. People need strict guidelines in that place not only because of employee safety but also because of public safety. Just think what if people decided to push the button and it was let's say an alarm or activates any function like a water sprinkler or worse, self-destruct mechanism. If they press that button for fun, well just prepare fo

Many Filipinos' Love For Gossiping About Other People Prove They Have Small Minds!

I have noticed with the many stupid people I met and meet, I ask them what's their favorite show. Some of them mention their favorite show is Kris TV or in the past, the show of the late Inday Badiday to name a few shows. If they are watching anything imported, they are usually focus on gossip shows rather than educational shows. One possible line that might have been said by Kris TV viewers might be, "Oh good Sineskwela is no longer in ABS-CBN. Kris TV is much better and my child will learn more from it." It's not just the TV show but what you hear so often. Why not try riding a jeepney or a bus and notice what most Filipinos love to talk about. It reminded me one of them only talks about people. One of them even said, "Well talking about events and ideas is for small brainers." Wow, just wow and from what I have observed, many Filipinos have a very wrong definition of smart  which is none other than the culture of anti-intellectualism . This kind of at

Pictures That Show Many Filipinos Take Floods Very Lightly

I have previously written about floods not being fun in the Philippines  and Imperial Manila's wrong attitude towards it , now it's time for me to present a short post showing how stupid people choose to be. Now be amazed, be very amazed. I always thought this is one of the stupidest things to do... floating a cushion and enjoying the dirty flood water. This somehow reflects the indifference of many Filipinos.

The Stupidity That Many Filipinos Vote For Stupid People Then COMPLAIN About The Consequences

Considering that elections are almost near, I always thought of how Philippine history repeats itself. Looking at every nation, the problem is not only with the government but also the people. When you think of it, Philippine democracy is a government of stupid people, by stupid people and for stupid people . Besides, the bigger problem is not President Nobita nor former president Sherap Estrada but rather, the fault lies in this question... WHO VOTED FOR THEM ANYWAY?! It's time to have some basic historical lessons shall we? When you think of it, the elections themselves are a huge joke not only because the candidates are a joke but also because the voters themselves are a joke. When I look at the Philippines and why the country hardly improves, one can credit it to what kind of people do many Filipinos want into power. They are voting for athletes and actors instead of lawyers, economists and the like. Besides, what do athletes and actors know anything about politics and how t

Knowing These Differences Betweeen Successful And Unsuccessful People Will Help The Philippines

I have previously written about the Mamasapano Incident and crab mentality  I guess I'll be writing about that sign on successful and unsuccessful people and how it can affect the Philippines. Singapore's emergence from poverty is not an overnight story to how it changed from a sick man of Asia to becoming an emergent nation. Aside from Lee Kuan Yew's positive thinking and reforms, it would not be enough if the people didn't get united. I can't really talk about how disorganized and disunited people were in Singapore back then but certainly, when Singaporeans decided to help each other succeed, the nation went from a poor third world country to an emergent nation. For the Philippines, now only if more Filipinos will stop in their habits of crab mentality. I hate to admit it but many times, many Filipinos tend to have the habit of, "I can't have it, neither can you." which does not lead to progress. Worse, when a certain Filipino succeeds in s

How Filipinos Can Relate To George Orwell's Story "Animal Farm"?

I remembered the classic book "Animal Farm" which was written by George Orwell (real name, Eric Arthur Blair) which somehow symbolized real life society. Remembering a quote by Orwell/Blair he just said, "Beware lest democracies may become tyrannies." Considering that the Christmas season is near and lechon is usually part of a feast whether it's a whole pig or just a kilo, I thought it might be nice to raise up the issue of Orwell's novel "Animal Farm" where a controversial 1999 film was made, which was too dark and political for children. On the other hand, I like the idea of having something dark and political to at least provoke the mind. Looking at the whole idea of Animal Farm, the revolution started because of the way that the previous owner, Mr. Jones, treated the animals. The whole idea of a revolution was triggered because of the ill treatment of their owner. The revolution was a success under the leadership of Snowball but there was

Filipinos Should Stop Acting Like They're The Only Victims Of China's Current Bullying!

This is how I feel about the Philippines' exaggerating its case with China Just because I am Chinese by blood doesn't mean that I condone to the stupidity of what China is doing. If China's sponsorship did some biases against the Philippines or purposely sabotaged the electric car, then really, shame on them. Now here's an issue that I need to raise and I believe this needs to be raised... FILIPINOS SHOULD STOP ACTING LIKE THEY'RE THE ONLY VICTIMS OF CHINA'S CURRENT BULLYING. Looking at what China is doing right now, remember the Philippines is not the only nation that's a victim of the bullying. Other nations that China that have gotten into a feud with China's spurious land reclamation projects (based on fictitious claims) are Taiwan, Hong Kong, Japan, South Korea and Vietnam to name a few. I am afraid that the Philippines' current situation is sensationalized as if they are more special than the other countries. As said, Filipinos are not the

The Loss Of Gilas Against China Inadvertently Showed How Immature Many Filipinos Are!

So it's no secret that Gilas lost against China in a rather honorable match in a 78-67 score victory , 78 for China and 67 for the Philippines. Although I'll admit, it's a loss but it's an honorable loss and I believe when Gilas went into "beast mode" with the 101-50 victory , I just want to beleive that their opponent wasn't so well prepared for that occasion while Gilas was, something that I can commend them for after they had lost to Palestine. Any race can be caught unprepared, not just Filipinos. When it came to the comments about China as of late, even before the game starts, some people were already showing their immaturity. Do I need to overly stress that in what the Chinese government is doing, LEAVE THE CITIZENS ALONE or that the Philippines is not the only victim? You have South Korea, Japan, Taiwan and Vietnam going against China's government in its reclamation projects but a lot of their citizens aren't acting like the only victi

Well Today, Many Filipino Politicians Are Worth Laughing At Huh?!

Whenever I think of the political debate so last 1998 when Sherap ran for the presidency and won it, unfortunately it has started the trend as dictated above. Before, one can easily listen to the debates and speeches of politicians and laugh at comedians. Like one can laugh at Willie Nepomuceno and listen to the politicians.  Now, the other way around has happened especially if you get a speech like this from President Benigno Simeon "Nobita" Cojuangco Aquino III:

Not All The Poor People Deserve Any Form Of Sympathy!

I just remembered how it had to come from the mouth of a worker to tell me that I shouldn't be giving alms to beggars. At first I thought it was an act of charity but instead, it was an act of supporting mendicancy. To be charitable is to show benevolent goodwill or love towards humanity, it can mean to help the suffering but it does not mean to support parasites. I soon asked the worker saying what about him, he's poor. Then he said something that poverty is not an excuse to be lazy or to go begging, you want money then you work. Stop asking for fish and learn how to fish  is the statement that people must drill into their heads and put into practice. Many of them have the stupid culture of overspending  which one way or another, leaves people poor. When you look at payday, instead of saving the money, it's easy to expect people to go dine out, party hard and then the money is gone. Also,  many OFWs remain poor  because they easily spend out the money left and right wh

Learning The Right View Of Sharing Will Help The Philippines!

Okay since some of you complain I'm being too "negative" and "Draconian" so I might try to use this post to talk about the right kind of sharing, after I just talked about how wrong kind of sharing  is bad for the country. When I discussed about the wrong kind of sharing, I was talking about supporting parasitism and the like. But now I should at least talk about how the right kind of sharing works. As I mentioned earlier, progress is not only brought by the right economic policies that promotes free trade with reasonable restrictions but also in the spirit of teamwork and cooperation. When I think of progressive countries, I think about the spirit of teamwork where they get rid of anything that hinders it and works together with differences that can be worked on. When you look at the Japanese teamwork spirit, you can see why Modern Japan has become a progressive power. When you look at Singapore's history from rags to riches, it was because people soon
