Utak Squatter Tenants Are A HUGE PROBLEM To Businessmen

Who can remember the Pasig City demolition incident that happened last 2015? Yup, the incident proves that squatters are NO LAUGHING MATTER. The phrase "utak squatter" (squatter brain) should no longer limit itself to those who are technically squatters. Some of the squatters today exist in the form of utak squatter tenants. In short, it's those tenants who have their sense of entitlement. You may even want to question if those people are actually celebrating poverty. Why do I question if they celebrate poverty? It's because they seem to be very comfortable in being poor believing it gives them their entitlement. After all, rich-shaming is really a common vice in the Philippines, right? Just think about how two INNOCENT well-to-do guys namely Hubert Jeffrey Webb and Juan Francisco "Paco" Osmena Larranaga were subjected to it just because they were both well-to-do and good-looking. Webb who was in the USA and Larranaga who was in Quezon City were falsely accused of crimes that they didn't commit.

What makes up the mind of the utak squatter tenant? They do have their lame excuses not to pay rent. One of them is "Eh di mayaman ka naman, diba?" Granted, utak squatter people have NO knowledge whatsoever of how to earn money - only HOW to spend it. That's why I'm really against government handouts because as Margaret Thatcher says - the problem with socialism is you eventually run out of OTHER PEOPLE'S MONEY. If tenants don't pay rent then how can the landlords pay for repairs or other related operations when needed? Isn't it standard practice that when a tenant has some necessary repairs that deduction is taken away from the rent? In short, when deduction is taken away from the monthly rent - it's as good as the tenant having spent some of it for the repairs.

The utak squatter tenant would also have their mentality of entitlement. There's always a limit to what tenants can ask for help about. If it's a damaged roof or anything that wasn't THEIR FAULT (ex. a storm) then the landlord is obligated to give a discount based on operational expenses. However, if it's stuff like they caused an accident to themselves like driving with an overloaded vehicle or flushing plumbing hazards down the toilet - then that's their OWN PROBLEM. Why should the tenant give discounts if it's a problem NOT related to operations? Also, some stuff beyond the tenants' control is NOT the responsibility of the tenant. If somebody got sick or died in the tenants' family - they can be entitled to a delay in payment but not to a discount unless the tenant decides to give it. Not to mention, they may even blame the other tenant for being the cause of their problems even when the truth is far from it. Not to mention, some of them are prone to spending even when they can't afford it. It's like why get an air conditioner when you can't pay for higher electricity?

The worst part of the utak squatter tenant is that they act like they own the space. Ever noticed that squatters are hard to get rid of because of their foolish sense of entitlement? The landlord may ask as nicely as possible to leave. However, for the utak squatter tenant, they may ARROGANTLY answer something like, "Sige subukan mo palayasin kami dito! Magsisisi ka sa huli!" In English, that means, "Go ahead and try! You will regret it in the end!" Hmmm... they act like as if they own the land when the tenant has EVERY RIGHT to evict them for VALID reasons? Well, to make things worse, they may end up playing the victim or even ask help from Filipino commie groups like Bayad Muna or Kadamay to help them. Either way, isn't it any wonder why they don't improve financially because of their kadamay mentality?
