Penoy Praydists Getting Offended Over That Alleged Racial Slur In "Make My Heart Smile" Proves They're Insecure, Butthurt Crybabies

I'm mad at China as a POLITICAL ENTITY but not the Chinese people as a whole. it was revealed at that earlier episode of an ongoing Chinovela called Make My Heart Smile has an alleged slur scene. The leading guy arrogantly tells the leading lady that her dress is like that of a Filipino maid. No surprise is that there are already BUTTHURT statements against the Chinovela for the statement. The incident caught me off-guard while giving me an idea for a Chinese New Year post. Yup, I really laughed just reading the post about it.

This isn't really too surprising if you can remember the outrage in Hong Kong (last 2015) concerning the "offensive" textbooks? I was amazed at how the book really made them mad when the textbook promoted Filipinos as "domestic helpers". What did they want to be portrayed as? Conquerors of Hong Kong? Please, OFW means Overseas Filipino WORKER, not Overseas Filipino Warrior. When Filipinos work abroad -- they're under the authority of the FOREIGN BOSS. They go abroad separated from their families and for what? Conquest? That's again a fool's dream. Many Filipinos go abroad to be domestic helpers hence the stereotype. There's NOTHING offensive about Filipinos being "stereotyped" as such unless if it's something like "I'm a Filipino and..." the correct answer is "a drug mule". Why aren't they proud of their honest work as a domestic helper? Do they want to be stereotyped as drug mules or as domestic helpers?

I always find it funny (and irritating) at the same time when SOME Filipinos falsely accuse me of alleged racism against them. They would even play the racist card against foreigners in order to enjoy their blunder. They would throw the racist card whenever it's convenient such as when they try to avoid constructive criticism. Thinkers doers, right? When they're asked to give SPECIFICS about where so and so was being racist -- they further act tough, they say they don't need to point the specifics (HUH), and start to play the victim whenever it's convenient. Even worse, they throw a lot of racist jokes at other Filipinos (of different ancestry) or foreigners. I remembered being bullied for my Chinese ancestry even when I'm already considered Filipino. Other offensive jokes have them calling Koreans "faggots" and Indians "bahong sibuyas" (smells like onion).

This is the problem of their claim that Filipinos are supposedly the most powerful race in the world. It's no different from Adolf Hitler's claim that the Aryans were the best or Mao Zedong's Chinese pride. Both Hitler and Mao were terrible racists themselves too. Their claim to be the most powerful race in the world is further disproven when one single line from a C-Drama caused them to roar like crazy. If they were so great then that line wouldn't be so offensive. This line wasn't like what happened in Desperate Housewives when Filipino doctors were discriminated against. Dressing like a Filipino maid means to dress for service. Besides, shouldn't it be an honor instead to dress like a Filipino MAID than a drug mule?

One of the reasons why I don´t see myself raising a family in this country. Yes there are upsides, the fiestas, the parties, the people you´ll meet, the local grassroots movements (especially sa paparating na elección) and the business opportunities (note the term ´business´, not job opportunities sa Pinas lol). Even with the restrictions sa tingin ko okay parin mag negoció dito kasi malakas kumonsumo ang Pinoy (maybe due to OFW remittance).

Okay lang ako as a single person. Pa-travel-travel (Which I´m afraid to do rn kc nga COVID), acquiring opportunities here and there, kaso pag usaping pam-pamilya na, hindi talaga ako pabor lalo na sa kultura rito.

Oo strong family ties. The cycle continues.

Say goodbye to your future.

Parang ginawa din ng Japan at Korea, and now China. But then again honestly, kalaít-laítan naman kasi talaga tayo. The truth hurts.
