The Ungrateful Iskolars Ng Bayan Shoud REIMBURSE The Government For Their Free Education

I'm not here to antagonize public schools in general. In fact, some developed countries still have public schools for the less fortunate. Unfortunately, a recent viral picture of a certain Mr. Jejomar Contawe says that he's a scholar of the Filipino taxpayers and not of the F***ING government. The guy is not a graduate from the University of the Philippines (UP) but from Tarlac State University (TSU). Does this guy not realize that he's a scholar of the government? For one, it's the GOVERNMENT that allocates the expenses used for deserving scholars. Does this guy think that there's this "funding fairy" that goes door to door with the money of the Filipino taxpayers?

What should be amazing is that this guy is just as arrogant (if not more arrogant) as Raoul Manuel from UP. The statement above really is something. He owes his education to the Filipino peopel which is PARTLY true. However, isn't it that it's the government who actually ALLOCATES the money paid by the Filipino people. This UP scholar doesn't realize that walking out to rally is a WASTE of tuition fee. They are paid by the Filipino people AND the government to study. Taxpayers' money is given to the GOVERNMENT. I wonder does this guy even realize that?

The petition going on now is calling for Contawe to REIMBURSE all expenses paid by the government for his education. Whoever made the petition deserves to be lauded for attacking the ungrateful "iskolar ng bayan". Yes, Contawe has all his awards but did that give him the right to do what he did? Manuel is a cum laude in Mathematics but does that give him the right do what he did? They should be grateful for the government for budgeting the taxpayers' money for them. Instead, they showed their ungratefulness which they should actually REIMBURSE with interest. Why reimburse? It's because every expense the government makes is a deduction from the government's coffers. Tax money is used for government expenses including the current COVID-19 crisis. Those ungrateful iskolars ng bayan who do what they did should reimburse ALL the money from the government with interest. Just think without government then how can a nation be run without it? Anarchy just sounds good on paper until you realize you have NO PROTECTION from bad elements. Who finances law and order but the government? Instead, it seems such people would rather trust the criminals than policemen and soldiers, right

Just think public schools aren't free tuition for everyone except those who QUALIFY for scholarship. Some children of rich people may be studying an high standard state university like UP. Those who have scholarships are those who CAN'T AFFORD to pay and have maintained their grades. Otherwise, no maintenance of grades means no free education. I think it's more than time to raise the standards for scholarship. It should include GOOD MORAL CONDUCT. If scholars fail in good moral conduct then their high grades should be useless. If they don't get that good moral conduct then I propose they lose their scholarship, REIMBURSE EVERY LAST CENT perhaps with some interest, and KICK THEM OUT. We need iskolars ng bayan who fight for a better government and not those who fight to dismantle it.
