One of the news I've missed from South Korea is Choi Jin Hyuk's temporary hiatus because of his negligence. The reason was because Jin Hyuk went to meet an old friend in a bar that was illegally open. The result was that he was caught at around 8:20 P.M. on October 6 this year. Rather than make excuses - Jin Hyuk decided to issue an apology, stepped away from the My Little Boy variety show, and will take the time to reflect on his actions. I guess he donated much of his money during 2020 but that didn't make him make an excuse for what he did. He knew he can't excuse himself and did the right thing for this blunder.
The incident makes me think that it's a far fetch from what the ABiaS-CBN celebrities did last 2020. Well, who can EVER forget how the ABiaS-CBN celebrities were regarding their franchise? The ABiaS-CBN celebrities decided to act like the franchise was more important than defeating COVID-19. The ABiaS-CBN celebrities gave their flood of rants while the South Korean celebrities gave their flood of donations. It just shoots down their credibility to a whole new level. We just need to review what they did last year during COVID-19.
Who can forget what Angel Locsin Colmenares-Arce did last year? Attractive as she is but she's a classic case of beauty without brains - just as much as other ABiaS-CBN celebrities. Don't tell me that Angel's rallies were for the "good of the people"?" Please, the rallies would've helped spread COVID-19. The whole idea that #BlackLivesMatter rally (daw) didn't lead to a spike in COVID-19 is just stupid. Some say that while it didn't helped spread COVID-19 - some fear it will could be a seeding event for a disaster. Besides, Rigoberto Tiglao of the Manila Times was NOT wrong to blame both ABiaS-CBN and Filipino commies for the spread of COVID-19. Angel even had that BOTCHED Birthday Pantry which helped spread COVID-19. Angel chose to still keep getting active in show business rather than be truly sorry for her actions.Angel's "thanking" the health workers is pretty plastic if you ask me. Angel's apologies (if ever) might as well be considered insincere especially towards the heath workers and front liners who are now STRESSED OUT by pasaways.
The pasaway "thought leaders" (such as Jover Laurio of Pignoy Ako Blog) are showing their being "pekeng disente". If they truly valued decency then why support a network that has been a bad example? The culture of dysfunction ruled ABiaS-CBN for some time. Now, the actions of Korean celebrities have further shamed them. One must wonder if there's still any ounce of shame left with ABiaS-CBN's celebrities and those who admire them?
