The Priority Of Cleaning Up The Philippine National Police!

As  Atty. Vitaliano Aguirre Jr.  is now the justice secretary of President Rodrigo Duterte then his priorities shouldn't only focused on implementing discipline at the Bilibid Prisons but also straightening up the Philippine National Police. During the Nobita Administration, one can see all the unsolved PNP problems from the late Rolando Mendoza to the incidents involving Alan Impurisima  are all proofs of the failure of PNoy Pride . It's really now or never and reforms are badly needed.  The Philippine national police badly needs discipline from the lower ranks to the highest ranks. It's no secret that the Philippines' police force are incredibly unprepared. It's time to stop saying, "But that's the trademark of being Filipino." It's time to give a Bright Slap on their faces and tell them straight on their faces, "NO! THAT'S BEING A FAILIPINO! QUIT BEING A FAILIPINO AND BE A PROPER FILIPINO!" Have everyone have some rigorou...

The Solution For Improved Tourism And More Investors Isn't In David Guerrero's Slogan "It's More Fun In The Philippines"

The PNoy Pride Administration may already be coming to an end but the damage done is hard to repair. The tagline "It's more fun in the Philippines" was launched by David Guerrero based on the Switzerland campaign, "It's more fun in Switzerland." It's time to talk about tourism yet again and every incident that happened. There may be so much damage done to the Philippines by that slogan such as it had promoted a culture of impunity  to Filipinos. Good thing there are Filipinos who don't want to keep standing for that piece of SH*T that Guerrero advertised some time after the botched Rolando Mendoza incident . In other words, WHAT IN THE WORLD WAS HE THINKING?! In advertising, there's overselling and underselling. While the value of a product must be boasted about such as, "This tastes really good." to say, "This is the best tasting product in the world." can result to a horrible backfire. The whole slogan "It's...

The Need To Get Rid Of The Culture Of "Laging Kawawa Ang Pinagalitan O Pinaparusahan" Mindset In The Philippines

Here's an old video to what I think is just a social experiment judging by how the "foreigner boss" was talking with pauses in between. I guess the employee here may not be working for the boss or is working for the boss and has agreed to be part of a social experiment. In this skit, the Pinoy employee always shows up late. The boss has had enough and gets mad at that. The employee answers "Filipino time" as his reason and gets fired. You can hear some people feeling sorry for the person who's scolded. This reminds me of how often the victim culture is widely acknowledged in the Philippines. The mindset of "Laging Kawawa ang Pinagalitan o Pinarusahan" or better translated into English as, "The one who's scolded or punished always deserves sympathy." for non-Tagalog speakers reading this post. That mindset has created a series of problems in the Philippines. One of them is that the Commission on Human Rights has fostered a cultur...

Is Vitaliano Aguirre Jr. Going To Go From "My New Hero" To "My New Enemy"?

Considering that Atty. Vitaliano Aguirre Jr. wasn't only at his best behavior during SAF but he's also been appointed by incoming President Rodrigo Duterte as new Justice Secretary, it's highly possible that he's went from pseudo-hero to pseudo-villain in the eyes of many people who love the culture of impunity . If there's any moment Aguirre is really acting like a true hero it's NOT during the Renato Corona trial but during the SAF trial when he pointed out the possibility of Getulio Napenas' role as a scapegoat and when he really wants the New Bilibid Prison. While I lost my respect for him during the late Renato Corona's impeachment trial but he's managed to gain my respect here and during the SAF Trial. I still don't condone to what he did by covering his ears during Miriam's tirade against faulty handling of evidences. On the other hand, I still approve of his pointing out of as many anomalies in the New Bilibid Prison that need to...

The Culture Of "I'd Rather Commit Suicide If I Have To Follow A Disciplinary Government" Causes A Severe Lack Of Progress In The Philippines

After hearing a few of the reforms that incoming President Duterte wants for the Philippines, I can't help but facedesk at some comments made by Yellow propagandist Raissa Robles. Rules like giving minors their curfews at 10 P.M. are not meant to be repressive. Yet Robles herself wants people to believe it's "martial law". After all, isn't she somebody who can't even follow simple guidelines for journalism ? What's worse before Robles even started her B.S. one way or another, there are already people who really have that mentality of I'd rather commit suicide if I have to follow all those rules for discipline . That kind of mentality causes a severe lack of progress. Did you know that the problem of not following simple guidelines is NOT contributing to progress whatsoever? Guidelines are made to keep the place in order. Like you must follow step one to step two to step three to do things in order. While certain rules need to be fixed but you ...

The Hypocrisy Of Arrogant Tagalogs Who Adhere To The Imperial Manila System

Some people are hostile towards Duterte's proposal for federalism . For the nth time the Philippines has 7,107 islands as part of its country so decentralization is BADLY needed. Now it's time to tackle on the problem of arrogant Tagalogs who adhere to that idiotic  Imperial Manila system . Not that I suggest Tagalog should be abolished but I'm going against arrogant Tagalogs who continue to shout "Penoy Prayd" while all the while mistreating other Pinoys who aren't Tagalogs. Is it me or is it really a fact that most of the " anti-imperialists " in the Philippines are indeed Tagalogs? This isn't to degrade all Tagalogs as some of them are actually good people. Some Tagalogs even feel that the whole system isn't working. But is it me or are most Tagalogs really that arrogant because they live in the capital? I've heard of more leftists who are Tagalog than those of other Filipino groups in the Philippines. Is it me or are most of those...

The Problem Of Lacking Swift And Appropriate Punishments Has Caused The Philippines To Go Downward

After hearing Vitaliano Aguirre Jr. was invited by incoming President Rodrigo Duterte to be the Chief Justice just brings back some memories. So maybe I'm too hard on the guy and yes he wasn't a hero during the Renato Corona trial. But I also thought of a couple of lessons that we could learn from Aguirre's experience from the time of the Renato Corona trial to the SAF Trial . During the time he was assigned as Getulio Napenas' lawyer where he was fortunately at his best behavior. So what can be learn from Aguirre's experiences from the Corona trial to his appointment as Justice Secretary? I'd like not to focus on Atty. Aguirre's otherwise minor contempt of court but the problem of lacking swift and appropriate punishments. As much as he deserved his admonition for his misbehavior, there was really a lack of swiftness towards punishments. During the time he covered his ears and his attention was called, he shouldn't have been even given the chance to ...

The Big Difference Between Nebula Mask Machine Man And Machine Mar Roxas

Although the elections are over and Mar Roxas LOST big time. I felt like writing this post to recollect a childhood, an old shame that may not be an old shame and a person who's shamed himself during his campaign. Let's get started shall we? As a 90s child, I remembered watching the show called Nebula Mask Machineman. It was dubbed back then and my memory of it is vague. A few years later, I decided to read reviews and the show was just plain horrible to many. But let's get to the points of what the show was about. The show was about an alien from the Planet Ivy who came to Earth under the guise of Ken Takase. Along the way, he ends up encountering the criminal organization known as Octopus led by the old man known as Dr. K. The villain starts launching stupid plans against children and it's up to Ken to save the day. So Ken himself takes the role of Machine Man and saves the day from Dr. K's insane schemes.

Dear Filipino Ultranationalists: If Economic Protectionism Is So Good, Please Tell Me Why's South Korea Doing Much Better Than North Korea?

Here's a comparison between North Korea and South Korea taken from Louder and Crowder . Let's try to think about the economic aspects. So let's think about a few parts of comparing the economic advantages of protectionist North Korea from free trade South Korea. Let's take a look and please click on the chart above. I'd discuss a few aspects related to economic performances. Not everything in the chart is related to economics though. Those ultranationalist groups have made top seven lies to endorse their B.S. propaganda . These top seven lies are that (1) free trade is based and that free trade is for cowards, (2) they promote national independence, (3) they promote economic growth and better services, (4) first world countries use economic protectionism, (5) they "invade" other countries, (6) they provide jobs for the people while free trade only promotes jobs to foreigners, and (7) they provide trade surplus while free trade provides trade deficit. ...

How Can Filipinos Improve If Irresponsible Journalism Has No Appropriate Consequences And Penalties Against It?

After hearing Rodrigo Duterte make a point against irresponsible journalists, I felt like that it's about time somebody really got so vocal about it. While there's the freedom of speech and expression but like every freedom, there's restriction. Free trade countries may allow you 100% ownership as a foreign investor BUT you are still set to follow their local rules or you're out. The same goes with journalism. While there's the freedom to express one's views on the matter but sensationalizing just about anything or violation of other people's privacy is against the proper ethics of journalism. Whether most Filipinos like it or not the truth is ABiaS-CBN is creating a culture of dysfunction in the Philippines . Irresponsible reporters like Korina Sanchez Roxas (who fortunately didn't become the first lady) and Raissa Robles (or Raissa Rubbles) really feed the monster called the culture of dysfunctional behavior among Filipinos. Even just a few da...
