#LipadDarna Number One Worldwide?

Is it me or does ABiaS-CBN have a shallow view of the world? Sure, it's been the end of that d*** awful cop drama Ang Probinsyano . Yet, I just can't help but berate its BAD FINALE  which includes how Taskforce Agila failed in its hostage rescue mission . Now, it's time for ABiaS-CBN's version of Darna . Before that, GMA-7 had its own version of Darna which starred Angel Locsin COLMENARES-Arce back when I was only in college.  This reminds me of the time when I wrote about how  teleseryes got shown in SUB-SAHARAN AFRICA . Later, the same thing happened to Ang Probinsyano and Kapamilya members started to rejoice over it. There are OFW audiences (and I'm afraid ABiaS-CBN loves to romanticize OFW suffering such as in movies such as Hello Love Goodbye ). Now, ABiaS-CBN is opening a branch in Los Angeles, Hollywood, which I see is JUST FITTING FOR THEM. There's Kapamilya Live which is on Youtube - something I think OFW audiences are using to watch it. Why Do Hyun Jin (From K-Drama "Kill It"), Not Roxanne Opena, Should've Led Taskforce Agila

I guess my bashing of Ang Probinsyano is really not going to stop, right? I wrote about the downfall of Taskforce Agila . I just intended to watch the finale but I decided to watch the penultimate episode (but not entirely) involved in the FAILED hostage crisis. What led to the FAILED hostage crisis was a dreadful miscalculation. Taskforce Agila OVERESTIMATED itself by sending TOO FEW PEOPLE, they're UNDEREQUIPPED and even UNPREPARED. I was reminded of two major incidents namely the Manila Hostage Crisis and the SAF-44 incident . Speaking of SAF-44 -- Coconuts Martin did play as a dead SAF-44 officer. Both were done out of poor coordination. Besides, I even felt the Agilas got crushed due to OVERCONFIDENCE. They were dealing with Renato Hipolito the FINAL VILLAIN. What a dreadful miscalculation. Right now, I feel like writing a HUMOR POST to de-stress. One humor post I wrote was making fun of Shaina Magdayao's role as Roxanne Opena . I had a bit of a laugh writing it though th...

My Thoughts On Taskforce Agila's Demise In The Misadventures Of Cardo Dalisay

I gave my thoughts on the final episode of The Misadventures of Cardo Dalisay . I find the idea that the Taskforce Agila all dying EXCEPT Cardo to be stupid. I think there could've been more impact if Cardo was among the dead. Granted, Coconuts Martin played as a SAF-44 commando . The finale of the two-parter of Maalaala Mo Kaya had Coconuts' character in a coffin. I felt that Cardo should've died, maybe he should've received news that Lola Flora had already died some time ago (instead of learning it only later), and he starts to see visions of Lola Flora as he succumbs to his wounds. Have Cardo's body among the deceased Agila members. Instead, the show decided to make a ridiculously unrealistic scene (for a show that's supposed to be realistic) where Cardo wasn't even in the ICU after the severe blood loss. Is it me or are superhero movies suddenly looking "realistic" when Cardo didn't succumb to such heavy bullet wounds?  I decided to watch a...

I Watched The "Ang Probinsyano" Ending And WTF Did I Just Watch?!

Just a Photoshop, CHILL!!!!! I normally didn't want to watch the show. The show had a total whopping of 1696 episodes exceeding that of the 1990s teleserye Mara Clara . I don't actually regret NOT updating on it . However, I decided to watch the finale so I can at least write this review. I would confess that the whole finale was something. The Team Agila had died after a failed hostage rescue mission. It was heartbreaking to see Taskforce Agila perish. Though, I felt the whole stupidity of Cardo surviving way too many times. The finale did it as well. It's understandable that Agila perished. I can't be sure though if their botched hostage rescue was a result of incompetence. The possibility of not returning alive was there. There were some degrees of realism added. However, Cardo gets shot MANY TIMES and it was severe blood loss. Cardo was nearly shot but President Oscar Hidalgo saves him. Cardo is later found in the hospital but NOT IN THE ICU? I think the realism of...

The Late Lydia De Vega-Mercado's Athletic Achievements Show Why Competition Is Good

It was a sad say indeed when Lydia De Vega-Mercado died of breast cancer after some time. She finally left the world at the young age of 57. I remembered back in elementary when she was taught among the great Filipino athletes. Sadly, so many Filipinos only saw her accomplishments but NEVER her struggles. GMA-7 showed a  Magpakailanman episode which   featured Princess Punzalan as Lydia in an episode. I never saw the episode but the trailer showed one thing - NO SUCCESS WITHOUT A STRUGGLE! Some Filipinos tend to shout "PENOY PRAYD!" to the success of their countrymen WHILE they hate competition in their own country . Lydia NEVER won the medals she won automatically. Instead, she competed many times before she achieved. She went across competition to competition before she had her awards. Though, she finally gave up from active competition in 1994 to focus on her family.  Try reading her  impressive biography before her well-deserved retirement from active competitio...

Is "Ang Probinsyano" Trying To Pull A "Vincenzo" Regarding The Recent Brutal Deaths?

Although I'm NOT watching Ang Probinsyano - a new controversial scene that involves John Estrada's character Armando getting killed. We're not talking about the recent bloody deaths of Armando and Lily Ann Cortes (Lorna Tolentino-Fernandez). I could think about all the criticisms that hit against crime dramas from South Korea. I admit that watching Voice wasn't for the squeamish. The K-Drama  Kill It also showed a couple of brutal scenes . Maybe, I could also talk about how Vincenzo was also a vigilante wo performed questionable acts on criminals . Now, we have Cardo Dalisay doing a Vincenzo in some controversial scenes. Netflix has admittedly given Vincenzo a rating of 16+ with the warning of violence. If I'm not wrong, Ang Probinsyano is supposedly SPG or Strictly Parental Guidance. I must wonder how in the world did the two recent bloody deaths get pass the censors? The scenes were pretty disturbing.  First, we see Cardo TORTURE then finally execute Armando. Hec...

Star Cinema Presents "Trillanes: Bayani Ng Oakwood"

Credit goes to Coconuts Martin I remembered when I wrote a satirical entry about Viva Films making a film called Trillanes: Bayani Ng Oakwood . However, the recent events have VIVA Films with Darryl Yap's newest film Maid in Malacanang makes me wonder if ABiaS-CBN's Star Cinema would be the better filmmaking company to make my dream film Trillanes: Bayani Ng Oakwood . I could imagine the film would be loosely based on the events of the Oakwood Mutiny and the Manila Peninsula Siege. It would probably be a good highlight in an attempt to demonize charter change yet again.  Let's imagine the trailer would go like this, "A man of principle. A man of dignity. A man who saved democracy from charter change. Presenting the story of Antonio Trillanes IV, the hero of Oakwood." The most obvious is that Coconuts Martin will be Antonio Trillanes IV. But we're asking who will play as who? Well, I've got some suggestions on who will appear in this movie... Boy Abunda as ...

Why I'd Watch Netflix's "Cafe Minamdang" Over The Last Three Weeks Of "The Misadventures Of Cardo Dalisay"

Soompi Yup, it's really official that Ang Probinsyano,  or The Misadventures of Cardo Dalisay (as I love to call it) are coming to an end. I guess ABiaS-CBN is either out of ratings or there are not enough troll farms to give it "high views" . Right now, I feel the ratings of 2 Good 2 Be True on Netflix are most likely the result of troll farms . I guess the people of Sub-Saharan Africa lost interest in Ang Probinsyano too. Just hearing it's the last three weeks is making me laughing. The DAILY SCHEDULE is that CUMBERSOME for most people. I tend to binge-watch police drama since I watched Kill It and Justice a few years after they ended. However, not having a daily schedule (preferring to keep it WEEKLY) keeps things simple to avoid useless scenes, editing, and the like can be done better.  What I decided to do is to watch Cafe Minamdang instead. It would be certain that this week has the 11th to 12th episodes. There's a total of 18 episodes meaning that there m...
