Making It Fun in the Philippines

Looking at this picture by Peter Griffin, I can think about people who can't follow simple guidelines . Do you remember my example at Ocean Park ?  I am saddened to think but most people not only refuse to follow guidelines but refuse to see why the guidelines are in place. With this picture of Peter Griffin, one has to think of why guidelines do exist.  What's the reason for guidelines anyway? It's for peace and safety on both sides. Let's just think of the situation of "DO NOT PUSH THE BUTTON". Now let's think about the situation of facilities that have it like power plants where disaster level is very high. People need strict guidelines in that place not only because of employee safety but also because of public safety. Just think what if people decided to push the button and it was let's say an alarm or activates any function like a water sprinkler or worse, self-destruct mechanism. I have noticed with the many stupid people I met and meet, I ask them what's their favorite show. Some of them mention their favorite show is Kris TV or in the past, the show of the late Inday Badiday to name a few shows. If they are watching anything imported, they are usually focus on gossip shows rather than educational shows. One possible line that might have been said by Kris TV viewers might be, "Oh good Sineskwela is no longer in ABS-CBN. Kris TV is much better and my child will learn more from it." It's not just the TV show but what you hear so often. Why not try riding a jeepney or a bus and notice what most Filipinos love to talk about. It reminded me one of them only talks about people. One of them even said, "Well talking about events and ideas is for small brainers." I have previously written about floods not being fun in the Philippines  and Imperial Manila's wrong attitude towards it , now it's time for me to present a short post showing how stupid people choose to be. Now be amazed, be very amazed. I always thought this is one of the stupidest things to do... floating a cushion and enjoying the dirty flood water. This somehow reflects the indifference of many Filipinos.

Considering that elections are almost near, I always thought of how Philippine history repeats itself. Looking at every nation, the problem is not only with the government but also the people. I have previously written about the Mamasapano Incident and crab mentality  I guess I'll be writing about that sign on successful and unsuccessful people and how it can affect the Philippines. Singapore's emergence from poverty is not an overnight story to how it changed from a sick man of Asia to becoming an emergent nation. Aside from Lee Kuan Yew's positive thinking and reforms, it would not be enough if the people didn't get united. I remembered the classic book "Animal Farm" which was written by George Orwell (real name, Eric Arthur Blair) which somehow symbolized real life society. Remembering a quote by Orwell/Blair he just said, "Beware lest democracies may become tyrannies." Considering that the Christmas season is near and lechon is usually part of a feast whether it's a whole pig or just a kilo, I thought it might be nice to raise up the issue of Orwell's novel "Animal Farm" where a controversial 1999 film was made, which was too dark and political for children. On the other hand, I like the idea of having something dark and political to at least provoke the mind. Looking at the whole idea of Animal Farm, the revolution started because of the way that the previous owner, Mr. Jones, treated the animals. This is how I feel about the Philippines' exaggerating its case with China Just because I am Chinese by blood doesn't mean that I condone to the stupidity of what China is doing. If China's sponsorship did some biases against the Philippines or purposely sabotaged the electric car, then really, shame on them. Now here's an issue that I need to raise and I believe this needs to be raised... FILIPINOS SHOULD STOP ACTING LIKE THEY'RE THE ONLY VICTIMS OF CHINA'S CURRENT BULLYING.
