An Essay Quiz For Those Who Compare Duterte To Marcos

The crass stupidity of #SilentNoMorePh is really well, stupid. I remembered some time ago when I wrote a post where I said that #NoToABSCBNShutdown is a rather misleading tag. Now, the attempt to compare President Rodrigo R. Duterte to a REAL dictator named Ferdinand E. Marcos Sr. is a new desperate attempt. This is really another victim complex playing of the Anti-Constitutional Reform groups. I can respect anti-Duterte like the late Carlos Celdran but NOT Jover Laurio of Pignoy Ako Blog. 

It's time that the Anti-Constitutional Reform members need to answer the following questions when they compare Duterte to Marcos IF THEY CAN do it in simple English without mixing Tagalog into it:

1. If their beloved ABiaS-CBN is SHUT DOWN then why isn't there a PADLOCK at the network? Why is ANC News still open and still giving "life-saving news"? Why is there still The Kapamilya Channel or other cable channels by ABiaS-CBN? Why are the Youtube and Facebook pages still available to view news? Why is Karen Davila NOT arrested? Davila is very critical of Duterte but why isn't she arrested? Why didn't the military personnel in charge of peace and order run over the protestors with tanks last Friday of July 10, 2020? 
2. Also for the case of Maria Ressa and "press freedom" - did they bother to watch Stephen Sackur's FULL INTERVIEW with the said person? Sackur has done his research rather well. What's interesting is that the Yellows and Trillanes supporters are rather EERILY SILENT about it. Not even Jover wrote a SINGLE ENTRY about BBC HARDtalk. Care to explain?
3. When martial law was declared in Mindanao was it with or without the APPROVAL of the legislative? Why are the people in Mindanao pretty comfortable with the martial law? Do they even know the reason why having military intervention done in Mindanao during the Maute takeover? Why is it that 2019 senatorial elections still went on? Also, do they know that their beloved 1987 Constitution still APPROVES of martial law?
4. Also, do they realize that the rule of ECONOMIC PROTECTIONISM was also done during the Marcos Years? Why criticize the Marcos Years if they're not in favor of removing 60-40 which caused the OLIGARCHY (cronies) to rise in the first place? Weren't the oligarchies under Marcos' time his cronies? Aren't the oligarchies also cronies of political parties?
5. Also, do they realize the need for police and military during times of pandemic is done by OTHER countries? For example, Japan and New Zealand are using their military to help keep peace and order during the COVID-19 crisis. 
6. For policemen who abused their authority such as the Winston Ragos killing was there ANY action taken or not? 
7. So they are mad at Debold Sinas' birthday party but what makes the ABiaS-CBN rally for its renewal and the UP Diliman Mananita Greeting any more "responsible"? 
8. They are protesting against the Anti-Terrorist Bill and want to junk it than revise it. Do they realize that other DEMOCRATIC countries like Singapore have an anti-terrorist bill? Not to mention Sweden has one too. Do they also realize the idea of the bill is by Panfilo Lacson and not the president?
9. Do they know the difference between federalism and feudalism? They better try to cite even one political source where federalism is defined as a rise of warlords with INTERNATIONAL TEXTBOOKS.
10. Also, do they understand how the parliamentary system differs from the presidential system? They need to cite the differences. They also need to explain why presidential has better check and balance and explain why term limits are a necessity. They might as well wonder if they knew Celdran a staunch critic of Duterte was actually in favor of foreign investments and parliamentary system.
11. If they say Leni Loud Robredo will definitely be better then they better have her speak up and tell us how to flatten the curve. Before #LetLeniLead she better prove she can lead. Can they cite an example of any measure Leni Loud has given aside from doing relief good distribution to flatten the curve? Not that I'm antagonizing Angat Buhay, Duterte has given her the clearance to do so, but can Leni Loud flatten the curve?
12. For those in favor of LEGALIZING the Communist Party of the Philippines - they better explain they are antagonistic towards the Chinese COMMUNIST Party. If they want to be legalized then the two options are to either let China take over the Philippines or for them to transfer to China. If ever the Dragon Broadcasting Network is real then wouldn't that actually give the CPP a better light?
