Does Etta Rosales Even Know The Situation In Marawi As She Holds The Petition To Uplift Martial Law?

It's no secret that Etta Rosales herself should be considered the person that turned the Commission of Human Rights into a waste of space. It's good to have a human rights watch but not to the extent that they limit their duties only to state agents or that they become too lenient. The other is on Florin Hilbay who went from bar topnotcher to laughing stock.

Let's consider the situation. This is not preventive martial law. Here's what GMA News has to say which Rosales may have conveniently ignored:

In seeking the extension, Duterte cited the military and police’s assessment pointing to continuing terrorist recruitment, increasing violence from the communist rebels and the rehabilitation of Marawi.

Doesn't the continuing terrorist recruitment and increasing violence of communist rebels require military intervention as Marawi is rehabilitated? This wouldn't be an easy rehabilitation and there's the need to have military intervention as this is done. Just because Marawi has been liberated doesn't mean that there aren't remnants. This isn't "preventive martial law" as Hilbay would like to suggest. No, martial law is needed because Marawi may be liberated from Maute but the whole city is still in a huge mess. Think of the chaos that still existed after Libya and Iraq were liberated from the tyrants that ruled them. After Saddam Hussein's death, Iraq's been in total shambles allowing the ISIS to rise up in the place of the deceased despot.

Rosales herself has been encouraging people to continue to fear martial law for the sake of fearing it than to fear the abuses that could be carried out if not monitored carefully. Martial law itself isn't necessarily bad if it doesn't give the head of the presidency or parliament absolute power. It's only natural to fear the negative consequences of martial law like one fears that hammers could be used for the wrong reasons. You use a hammer, you need courage to handle it but also the fear that you could misuse it to use it well. But one should not view martial law like the way Mar Roxas views hammers and the Martilyo Gang.

This is the problem right now. Instead of finding other ways to make sure rehabilitation goes smoothly, it's almost like Rosales is trying to protect the rights of the terrorist recruits and communist rebels instead. If that's so then she doesn't even deserve her title as a former chairperson of human rights since she's defending the human rights violators instead. What she should be doing is raising concerns on how to counter the ongoing remnants of the Maute crisis while curbing possible abuses instead of acting like a crybaby like she does. She should really know that the army and police know the situation better than she does. Or does she feel she's such an expert of the Philippines?

If those two think they know better than President Duterte then why don't they go and solve the problem in Marawi themselves without government support?
