Well, I've finally seen the light at long last! It's really time to say goodbye to constitutional reform and we should just stick to the 1987 Constitution of the Philippines. This is an enlightening essay on this day of April 1, 2022, to which we Filipinos must be ready to make a voice. Any attempt to change the constitution is nothing more than a travesty. We really should prepare our fight to go against charter change by all means. I finally gave up on the fight just today because I finally saw it for what it is based on empirical evidence provided by the best of the best.
Listen to the wise words of Hilario Davide Jr. for a start
You can trust the wise words of Hilario Davide such as when he proudly declared on TV, "The 1987 Constitution is the best in the world!" We can be sure of that and we must reject constitutional reform by any means. Davide, one of the framers of the 1987 Constitution, prepared the best constitution in the world. The gains after EDSA are indeed marvelous. Who care about the so-called economic progress of the other ASEAN countries when the Philippines is the freest country in the world all thanks to the best constitution in the world?
So you say we should listen to the late John Gokongwei? Please, we're talking about the constitution and not business here. Iba and pinag-usapan! All these wealthy guys know is how to make money. Davide is right that federalism is a leap to Hell because warlords will be born from them. Davide is also right when he said that foreign investments will create a colony of investments. We can trust Davide who is the writer of the best constitution in the world.
Are you saying we should listen to Kishore Mahbubani and the late Lee Kuan Yew? Please, listen to the wise words of Amos Yee that Lee Kuan Yew was a dictator. The 31-years rule of Lee Kuan Yew is comparable to that of the Marcos Years and Nazi Germany. Lee Hsien Loong is an unjust prime minister proving once and for all political dynasties are EVIL. Amos is a good boy and Singapore is a tyranny. Please don't forget about our fellow Filipino, Flor Contemplacion, who was unjustly executed there. If you're in doubt then please watch the highly accurate The Flor Contemplacion Story because it will tell you how tyrannical Singapore is. Why should the Philippines imitate Singapore and become a collective tyranny? Be like Singapore? No thanks!
The think-thanks like Winnie Monsod, Bayan Muna, IBON Foundation, Kabataan Partylist, League of Filipino Students, the CBCP, etc. are trustworthy sources of economics about national self-industrialization
Are you saying that these economists are wrong? Please, you can trust the trustworthiness of our development economists. You can be 100% sure that these guys really know what they're talking about. Lee Kuan Yew is a liar when he said that multinational corporations are good for the country. Pleaes don't buy that B.S. because Singaporeans are poor and miserable because of MNCs. Telling me to reading the book From Third World to First? Please, it's just another communist manifesto for how to build a dictatorship in your country. That book is bogus and full of lies as proven by the think-thanks of Filipino economics. You can trust when Winnie Monsod said that Singapore didn't develop through accepting foreign direct investment (FDI). You can trust what Bayan Muna says about foreign investments because it's always country first, right?
Teddy Casino's articles in Rappler are plain genius! Casino's arguments in Rappler make a lot of sense. The credibility of the organization is built on its multinational awards such as Maria Ressa's Nobel Peace Prize. Are you telling me to watch BBC HARDtalk? Please, Stephen Sackur is nothing more than a bully who picks on his guests. Ressa herself won the award for fighting what's right and Ressa's awards are more than enough proof. If you're trying to question Ressa then you must be very stupid. Ressa's awards are proof of her credibility. Besides, Casino's article on Rappler in regards to constitutional reform is 100% backed up by empirical evidence. Besides, one of his closest friends, Neri Colmenares is a certified political genius.
This is one of the smartest things that Casino wrote and man, he's indeed an economic genius:
Without definite limits on foreign ownership and with no preference for Filipino citizens and corporations, the Constitutional provisions on the national economy and patrimony would become a tabula rasa. It would now be up to the Federal Assembly to determine policies on foreign equity sharing and just about anything there is about the economy and our natural resources. This, of course, creates an entirely new window for corporate lobbying, putting small, underfunded Filipino citizens and corporations at a great disadvantage.
Worse, by totally removing the State’s role in developing an industrialized, self-reliant economy, in implementing agrarian reform, in promoting and protecting Filipino enterprises and producers, and in reserving our natural resources for Filipinos, Duterte’s Cha-Cha will leave small enterprises, workers and farmers having to fend for themselves from the onslaught of even more globalization.
These amendments are the culmination of 3 decades of “economic reforms” toward a totally free market, neoliberal economy. Combined with the existing policies of economic liberalization, deregulation and privatization, the amendments remove the last impediments to the total domination, control and plunder of our economy and natural resources by foreign corporations and banks.
Do you want solid evidence of what Casino is saying is real? Empirical evidence is gathered that self-industrialization works have been gathered by Sonny Africa of IBON Foundation and the Monsods. Africa is a graduate of the London School of Economics and Winnie is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania so unless you have a prestigious economics degree then just STFU and listen. The evidence of Casino's statements is to take a look at North Korea and Venezuela. It's because North Korea and Venezuela accept foreign investments that their countries suffer the way they do. FDIs have brought bankruptcy to the industries of Venezuela leaving people to line up for bread. All Venezuelans have is imported bread to eat because the local bread industry was crushed by FDI. North Korea has a huge influx of FDI that North Koreans are starving while Kim Jung Un enjoys the fruits of FDI. Do you want the Philippines to be like that?
I now see the wisdom of the League of Filipino Students and Kabataan Partylist. Sarah Jane Elago truly is a woman who's beautiful inside out. The evidence is how many greeted her when she went to NEPA-Q Mart to check on the rising pork prices. Members of the League of Filipino Students know their economics very well. President Rodrigo R. Duterte is wrong to sign the Public Services Act of 2022 which will give more room for exploitation by foreigners. Soon enough, Chinese telecommunications will take over the public services. It's Duterte's gift to China to allow the Chinese government to take over. The start was when ABS-CBN our beloved station was shut down and now no longer operational. Now, Duterte is about to sell us out to China and the Philippines will become a province of China. The whole talk to liberate foreign investors to 100% shares ownership is a Trojan Horse! Wake up people!
The foreign takeover will mean the local businesses will be crushed and be replaced with Chinese industries. Think about having lechon and palabok for eat outs? You can forget about it as local Filipino food will be made obsolete. You can imagine people will be lining up for their daily rations of siomai and siopao. China will also allow other FDIs to arrive and crush our local businesses. Maybe, you'll soon be forced to have no more Filipino food under the Chinese takeover! Do you really want that to happen? Filipino culture will be extinct. Chinese soldiers will be waiting for people everywhere to send pasaways to concentration camps. Soon enough, the joys of being habitually one hour late, karaoke until morning, having noisy parties, and the like will be gone thanks to the Chinese takeover.
The parliamentary system will just give birth to another Marcos-type regime
May I remind you that the greatest researchers have proven that the Marcos Years were indeed a parliamentary government that accepted foreign investment? Do you want proof that we were a parliamentary form of government? The evidence lies in history in itself. I believe now that many people have been hearing the late Ninoy Aquino wrong in his statements about the Marcos Years being a mock parliamentary. The empirical evidence was gathered by the best of the Pinklawan minds who have proved once and for all that the Marcos Years were indeed a legitimate parliament.
The empirical evidence was in the existence of Cesar Virata as a prime minister. As long as you have a parliament in name and a prime minister - it's a legitimate parliament. Now I see how evil parliamentaries are based on historical research. Amos provided the best research ever when he showed that Lee Kuan Yew and his son Lee Hsien Loong are evil. Yes, that's proof that political dynasties are evil. That's why we must fight off political dynasties because they're automatically evil. Lee Kuan Yew has ruled Singapore with an iron fist for 31 years. Lee Hsien Loong is no better as he's ruling Singaporeans in fear and terror. It's because parliamentary systems don't impose fixed term limits. The fact that a person rules for more than six years is proof that they're indeed dictators.
One of the gains after EDSA is the return to the presidential system. Presidential systems are more democratic because people choose their presidents. The parliamentary system isn't democratic because people rule for a long time. The people also don't choose their prime ministers but the legislative itself. It's also not democratic because of the absence of real separation between executive and legislative. Worse, people will be forced to listen to weekly questioning which is nothing more than propaganda.
Not to mention, the Marcos Years were very pro-FDI. The result of Marcos accepting FDI was that the local industries were going bankrupt. Marcos seized businesses that were a threat to his FDI friends. As a result, people were lining up for rice as a result of FDI. Marcos never prioritized our industries hence leading to the bankruptcy. Besides, his pro-FDI policies along with a parliamentary services increased our foreign debt to unpayable amounts. The only way we can pay for these amounts if we decide to pursue the national self-industrialization project together with PHP 10,000.00 ayuda per month. Woohoo!!!!
