Making It Fun in the Philippines

Years ago, I wrote about why Toei Ltd. should NEVER let GMA-7 adapt Voltes V . It was because of that abomination known as Zaido: Pulis Pangkalawakan that was also a major licensed abomination. It's already known that I dislike Power Rangers or most licensed Americanization of Japanese TV series such as how Lion Voltron was based on Hundred Beast King Golion . I'd like to give my thoughts on how I wanted to give it a chance but it's not even worth sending to Power Morphicon to be viewed, if ever. Sure, I dislike Power Rangers but I'd say it still deserves some global recognition. This one? Well, I guess it's time to talk about how the series went on. With the WEEKNIGHT schedule - I guess it's going to really suffer the same way Zaido did. I did drop Zaido like a hot potato. I was reading through Get Real Philippines and found out that clueless Benign0 says that red tagging isn't a crime . I think red-tagging can be CRIMINAL   if there's no real evidence to prove that so and so is linked with the CPP-NPA. It just happened that Jay Sonza did wrongly red-tag a girl (who looks like K-Drama actress Shin Hye Sun) who he thought was Representative Sarah Jane I. Elgago. The CPP-NPA legal fronts keep talking about HUMAN RIGHTS but they've been supporting HUMAN RIGHTS VIOLATORS THEMSELVES. The rallies do hold several Communist figures. You may even notice the photo of Chairman Mao Zedong. Mao was a GENOCIDAL MANIAC whose movements such as the Great Leap Forward and the Cultural Revolution murdered more people than Adolf Hitler's Holocaust. Joseph Stalin was also a big-time tyrant in Russia. Months ago, Coconuts Martin launched another "masterpiece" based on FPJ's Batang Quiapo . That was some time after Ang Probinsyano which totally was a big joke. Seeing one Korean crime drama after the other makes me LMAO over why Ang Probinsyano even exists . Now, there's Voltes V Legacy which I heard would be 80 episodes. WUT? Okay, I'm not exactly pleased since GMA-7 did give us that licensed garbage called Zaido: Pulis Pangkalawan . I decided to watch a few Voltes V Legacy episodes which seek to expand the storyline. It may have Toei Ltd.'s involvement but I think much time is wasted on padding. I wish they would've simply aimed for 50 episodes and expanded the lore from there. No, I think the 80 episodes Monday to Friday format might give me a good reason to skip it. I could imagine what ABiaS-CBN might do to counter Voltes V Legacy . Get Real Philippines' clueless webmaster Benign0 wrote an article on the first anniversary of the Second Marcos Admin . There are times I just can't take Benign0 seriously because he believes that Filipino culture is static and can never change. Benign0's solution will take SEVERAL GENERATIONS before it'd work . I wrote about online piracy  and about the FAILED attempt to stop Filipinos from bringing home imported media . Right now, I'm not surprised that ABiaS-CBN has joined the campaign for House Bill No. 7600 . Those who are currently known to campaign for it are John Arcilla and Shaina Garcia Magdayao. Both of them starred in Ang Probinsyano . We have first-world countries that are against media piracy. Celebrities get paid according to the legitimate purchases of their products. Right now, I'm thinking about how ABiaS-CBN could enter another INCREDIBLY MASSIVE FAILURE OF THE MIND. Maybe, I can always point out the attitudes of ABiaS-CBN celebrities vs. South Korean celebrities during the Legacy Virus pandemic . A better focus would be on the economic side of things. There are many factors that may contribute to how ABiaS-CBN may end up having another massive failure of the mind with the anti-piracy campaign. It's just disheartening to think that the University of the Philippines is SUPPOSEDLY a government school. We have had great minds from UP such as the late Atty. Miriam Defensor-Santiago or Atty. Harry Roque. However, we also have pasaway "thought leaders" like Rep. Sarah Jane Elgago, Raoulol Manuel, and social media influencer Gerry Cacanindin. I'm not going to apologize for this post because this needs to be heard or published. Again, UP is a GOVERNMENT SCHOOL so why should it be housing legal fronts of the CPP-PNA such as Kayabangan Partylist and the Lazy Filipino Students?  I may have issues with Benign0 from Get Real Philippines . The pandemic is over and it's over three years since ECQ, right? It was such a bummer that ABS-CBN lost its franchise turning it into just a media network. Here's one thing I realized - we have to be nationalistic and avoid colonial mentality . If you're truly Filipino then you must love your own shows. Yes, that's why I've decided that I'm going to stop watching K-Dramas (as well as other imported dramas) to watch our very own beloved teleseryes. Right now, I'm trying to get access to a whole DVD set of the hit show Ang Probinsyano and I should've started watching Coco Martin's newest hit drama Batang Quiapo .
