Is it me or ABiaS-CBN stars may have not truly LEARNED their lesson? After all, it was ABiaS-CBN displayed that MASSIVE FAILURE OF THE MIND even before the Legacy Virus pandemic. Yup, we've got Anne Curtis-Smith -- one of ABiaS-CBN's biggest stars making the outrage on Twitter. There are many things worth agreeing but also some areas where Anne is SADLY MISTAKEN. I wonder if she's aware that her beloved network was also among the loudest,and PROBABLY THE LOUDEST critic when it came to the late Fidel V. Ramos' call for constitutional reform.
Now, it's easy to talk well about the late Lee Kuan Yew (LKY). However, it gets irritating when people say, "Look, hindi nagbibisa yung parliamentary system sa Pilipinas! It's because Marcos was corrupt! It only worked in Singapore because Lee Kuan Yew wasn't corrupt!" If one must believe that the Empire of Marcos was truly "parliamentary" then they failed to read Ninoy Aquino INTO CONTEXT. Ninoy even said it OUT LOUD that the Philippines had a PARLIAMENTARY FORM OF GOVERNMENT WITHOUT A PARLIAMENT. In short, the idea that the Marcos Empire had a parliamentary form of government is A COMPLETE SHAM.
The problem is that Anne was probably thinking that LKY came out "by chance". However, the reality is that the Philippine election system is better ran by the PCSO than the COMELEC. What are the chances that Atty. Leni Loud Robredo is sure to win this 2028? What were the chances that President Bobong Marcos won the vice presidency in 2016? In Anne's case, she still believes that she prays that Filipinos will vote for a leader who will want to fight corruption one day.
However, the real truth is that Anne's wish is VERY SLIM or EVEN IMPOSSIBLE under the 1987 Constipation of the Philippines. What she needs to do is to study about the parliamentary system. We're in the digital age. Sure, not everything on the Internet is true but ONE CAN COMPARE SEARCH RESULTS. She needs to look into the BIG DIFFERENCE between the presidential system and the parliamentary system. Otherwise, she's really just wishing for a LKY type leader under a DEFECTIVE SYSTEM!
