Real Talk: No Amount Of Violence Will Make Jason VOORHEES' Arguments To Defend A "Marcos Parliamentary", REAL
I wonder if Jason VOORHEES has bothered to do further research. For one, to REFUTE Jason VOORHEES' stupidity, one needs to DO RESEARCH. In fact, one can think about looking at the SPECIFICS. Is this guy even smarter than the late Lee Kuan Yew? LKY handled Singapore and knew how a parliamentary was running. LKY even called Cesar Virata as NOTHING MORE THAN A NONSTARTER. Jason VOORHEES tries to "debunk" my Virata puppet theory with what? Misquoting again? What happened to Ninoy Aquino's claim that the Empire of Marcos was a parliamentary form of government WITHOUT A PARLIAMENT?! The Empire of Marcos granted him ABSOLUTE POWER. That's very different than how parliamentary governments WITH A MONARCH WORK! If Virata was no puppet then think why would LKY call him a NONSTARTER and NO POLITICAL LEADER? Where in the world can we even find a prime minister WHO IS A MERE HEAD OF THE CABINET in a real parliamentary system?
Of course, Jason VOORHEES has his "best rebuttal" which is one BLOODY STUPID ARGUMENT after the other:
Marcos years was a modified parliamentary system but it was parliamentary nonetheless if we based on functions and form, not on whose opinion like yours or that of Lee Kuan Yew. For example Marcos Sr. issued presidential decrees, and they were given same effect as those of republic acts as official laws of the land. In presidential, president cannot issue such decree with same effect of republic act. Gloria Arroyo tried it before when she was president, but it was declared unconstitutional by the Supreme Court.
The opinion of the GREAT LKY doesn't matter in this matter? Jason VOORHEES should've learned that the president, in a parliamentary system, is ceremonial. As Ninoy said it as purely ceremonial, tagatanggap ng credentials, takabukas lang ng pinto. I wonder if the guy to take his claims to any distinguished school in Singapore.
Marcos, while he was more emperor than president, even gave these remarks that SHOULD'VE ALREADY SHUT JASON VOORHEES' STUPIDITY:
The adoption of certain aspects of a parliamentary system in the amended Constitution does not alter its essentially presidential character. Article VII on the Presidency starts with this provision: ‘the President shall be the Head of State and Chief Executive of the Republic of the Philippines.’ Its last section is an even more emphatic affirmation that it is a presidential system that obtains in our government. Thus: all powers vested in the President who, by virtue of his election by the entire electorate, has an indisputable claim to speak for the country as a whole. Moreover, it is he who is explicitly granted the greater power of control of such ministries. He continues to be the executive, the amplitude and scope of the functions entrusted to him in the formulation of policy and its execution leading to the apt observation by LASI that there is not one aspect of which that does not affect the lives of all.
Marcos' own words reveal that while there were indeed parliamentary features -- it was still PRESIDENTIAL IN a parliamentary system, the president is the Head of State and the prime minister is the chief executive. Man, how BLOODY STUPID can Jason VOORHEES GET? Just because Marcos wasn't honest -- doesn't mean he was automatically wrong to say that his government was still PRESIDENTIAL. Marcos was no national symbol of unity but an EMPEROR RULING WITH AN IRON FIST. The Empire of Marcos was weakened because its despot had been weakened! Did Jason VOORHEES bother to further research?
Jason VOORHEES may massacre Philippine historians who will DEBUNK his claims. Philippine historians may present proof that the Empire of Marcos was no real parliamentary system. He couldn't even get it that when EXECUTIVE POWER was restored to the president (emperor) -- it wasn't even a real parliamentary system! Did Jason VOORHEES even bother to see the job that Virata had and that Marcos was once BOTH president ahem EMPEROR and prime minister? At that time, Panggulong Bobong Marcos was the crown prince and perhaps heir apparent. The Butasang Pambulsa wasn't a real parliament. The CHEATING ARRANGEMENT of the Butasang Pambulsa NEVER resembled a real parliamentary system!
Jason VOORHEES might want to go on a rampage against historians too. However, no amount of bloody rampage can argue when facts are revealed. Jason VOORHEES might as well prepare to be apprehended and even SHOT TO DEATH -- should he ever rampage in public, insisting that the Empire of Marcos was a parliamentary system.
