Right now, I don't care anymore about DDS or Dilawan - both sides have FAILED the country. Elections are coming near and I'm afraid that the Duterte Administration should've focused on 3PA. In the late Noynoy's case - he was more focused on 1PA which was to ease down restrictions on certain sectors. Now, it's time to think about it that presidential elections are comparable to gambling. Gambling is basically taking a chance or taking a risk, betting or staking something of value with the consciousness that you may lose it. Gambling is built on one thing - UNCERTAIN OUTCOME.
We need to take a review of as many elections as we can and why it's gambling. One of the most common forms of gambling is roulette. You choose a number, the ball rolls, and you win only if the ball hits the number. The presidential elections seem to be like that. People go to the precinct, shade the candidate of their choice, the ballots pass through the voting machine, the ballot is dropped into the ballot box, and then you cross your fingers hoping your candidate wins. If your candidate wins then all the effort you had to put through waking up early to vote wins. However, if your candidate loses then the winner takes all. It's pretty much like gambling, right? The idea that the majority wins and the winner takes all is NOT DEMOCRATIC. On the contrary, the presidential elections don't respect the minority and it's the rule of the tyranny of the majority.

The nature of the Philippine presidential elections made me think maybe it's time to abolish the Commissions On Elections (COMELEC). Maybe, it' time for the national elections to be governed by the rules of the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office. People are really voting in the elections like it's a gamble. Last 2010, people were crossing their fingers when they voted for OTHER candidates like Gilbert Teodoro over the late Noynoy Aquino. In 2016, some people were crossing their fingers when they voted for either Mar Roxas or Rodrigo R. Duterte. At the end of the day, it became useless to VOTE FOR SOMEONE ELSE because your candidate still lost. In the 1998 elections - people had their high hopes for the likes of Alfredo Lim but got Joseph Estrada instead. There was also the alleged electoral cheating with the Hello Garci leak. The people were betting between the late Fernando Poe Jr. and Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo. Why didn't the PCSO announce the winner of the elections instead?
Meanwhile, COMELEC can only have its real purpose under a parliamentary system. The electoral system of REAL parliamentaries is having a win-win situation. It's not a winner takes all system. For example, let's say that PDP-Laban still gets popular. Let's say that Liberal Party still gets popular. In the parliamentary, there are times when coalition governments are formed. If PDP-Laban and the Liberral Party both get the most votes then they must agree to be in the coalition government. The losing parties must agree to form the coalition opposition. People all voted for their voices to determine WHICH SEATS the candidates they get. Your vote is far better not wasted in a parliamentary system for this reason - the opposition is the voice for the minority. True, winners get the government seats but the opposition are given the chance to prove themselves better. For example, let' say that PDP-Laban is the majority and Liberal Party is the minority. Under a parliamentary system, the Liberal Party will get its chance to prove itself better through formal debate. People get their votes and their votes will all have a bigger voice in the parliamentary system.
