Do Pasaways Insist The Philippines Follow The "Successful" Swedish Model?

Although Rigoberto Tiglao of the Manila Times is really a caveman in economics - he still does a good job with investigative journalism making me still read his articles. I was thinking about one of his latest posts about the Swedish model . The title of the article really addresses the question of pasaways themselves who are again complaining about having lockdowns. I'm so surprised at how COVID-19 cases are spread yet the pasaways still don't want to follow rules. It's one thing to criticize the government for its shortcomings. It's another to deliberately break quarantine rules, right? The Swedish model tried to achieve "herd immunity" by not having lockdowns.  The Swedish model should be considered like a pyramid scam - it's too good to be true! If it's too good to be true then reject it. For example, what if I told you that if you give money to the 4Ps program of the DSWD that there's the 5.88 multiplier effect and three times return of the mo...

So ABiaS-CBN Replayed "MMK: Tubig" Last August 28 BUT Are They Willing To Accept The Need For Economic Cha-Cha?

ABiaS-CBN managed to re-air the Maalala Mo Kaya episode "Tubig" or "Water" last Saturday. I really want to ask the question of, "Is it me or does ABiaS-CBN like to romanticize OFW plights?" I could remember the film showing of Anak during Filipino class while I was in college. Later, I decided to watch Hello, Love, Goodbye on Netflix . Those films were by ABiaS-CBN. I was thinking about the re-airing of the MMK episode on Kapamilya Channel (and it could be watched on Youtube). I was thinking about the scenes that try to dramatize the tragedy of a REAL INNOCENT WOMAN. Unlike the late Flor Contemplacion and the three drug mules - Sarah Balabagan was a REAL VICTIM and only killed out of self-defense.   In this case, the MMK episode was a fictional scenario based on the real encounter. Some events in the dramatization will tell you that it's inspired by Balabagan's tragic experience in Saudi Arabia. The real case scenario was that she was a teenager wh...

Can You Imagine Leni Loud Robredo And Rodrigo R. Duterte Switching Places This 2022?

All the claims that the presidential system has "better" check and balance is laughable. For one, the Duterte-Robredo Administration is now showing how (more often than not) that the president and vice president from two different parties usually ends up in a mess . Leni Loud Robredo is simultaneously trying to drive two cars at once - the vice president mobile and the opposition leader mobile. Leni Loud needs to give up one car to drive the other. Now, there's the proposition that Rodrigo R. Duterte may become vice president. Personally, that shows the problem with term limits. If ever Leni Loud becomes president in 2022 then she might as well consider running as vice president in 2028. Then if Duterte is ever still active enough - he should be the president (again) in 2028 with Leni Loud as the vice president. Let's just imagine 2022 comes and we're swearing in two people into two different positions. It's the same people but NOT the same position. Leni Lo...

Presidential Elections: The Insanity Of Electing Different Candidates Under The Same DEFECTIVE System

It's no secret that 2022 is just near. All the clamor for #LetLeniLead and #Daughterte are on. Well, above is a picture from Rappler in regards to Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio (whose husband is a nephew of former Ombudsman, Conchita Carpio-Morales) and Vice President Leni Loud Gerona-Robredo. It's really upsetting now both DDS and Dilawan might think that a trolling campaign might expect a miracle that people will "vote wisely". However, such an idiocy is insanity at best . Wjen has the whole "vote wisely" movement even worked? I observed it too often that the movement was used over and over again from the time I was in elementary to the time I was in high school. Now, I finished college more  than 10 years ago (2007) and it's still the same movement OVER AND OVER AGAIN. But why no vote wisely? It's because the system in itself is stupid. No, systems aren't about people but the very rules that govern the people. A review of past administrations wil...

Why Deng Xiaoping Isn't Respected Nor Upheld As A Role Model By The CPP-NPA And Its Legal Fronts

August 22 is the birthday of Deng Xiaoping - the man who made Modern Communist China. China was an era left battered by the irresponsible "Daang Matuwid" of Mao Zedong . After Zhou Enlai, Deng finally took over a battered China that was far poorer than how Ferdinand E. Marcos Sr. left it. Deng makes a name in communist circles worldwide. Yet, why is he so ignored or not even respected by the CPP-NPA and all its legal fronts?  Let's look at the important figures of the CPP-NPA in their rallies You have the pictures of Karl Marx, Freidrich Engels, Vladimir Leni, Joseph Stalin, and Mao raised by the CPP-NPA and the legal fronts. Wait, isn't it ironic (or not) that you don't see a portrait of the great Chinese communist leader Deng. Deng, the very guy who made China a great nation, is widely NOT recognized. Deng made Communist China a nation to be feared. Yet, why are the CPP-NPA members and their legal fronts choosing NOT to honor Deng? Isn't it ironic? Why are t...

Ninoy Aquino's Statement On Foreign Direct Investment May Surprise You

I remembered writing about the late Ninoy Aquino revealing that the Marcos Years weren't a real parliamentary . He described it as a "parliamentary without a parliament". In short, it was a MOCK PARLIAMENTARY that never gave us a real parliamentary system. Instead, it was still a presidential system because a president is symbolic in the parliamentary. Now, another interesting part of his speech is about FOREIGN DIRECT INVESTMENT (FDI). I may not espouse all his ideas but these portions from his speech are taken from the Q & A portion. Here's what Ninoy said about FDI and it may surprise some: Q: If you will become the next president of the Philippines, what will you do with the U.S. investments or big foreign investments in the Philippines? A: That’s a very very good question because there is a misconception that if the opposition wins in the Philippines, we will kick out all American/foreign investments. But why should we do that? Foreign investments are in th...

Do The Dilawans Understand The Real Meaning Of "The System"?

Did Leni Loud Robredo get propelled into politics because of her or only because the late Jesse Robredo, well, died? I missed the fact that it was Robredo's birthday two days ago. We can remember Jesse for his outstanding leadership as mayor of Naga City in Bicol and as the DILG secretary. However, I feel like there has been no real closure yet if Jesse's death was purely an accident or if there was foul play involved. I mean, there seems to be a folder in his room that had a dangerous list of narco-politicians. Did the list include Jesse's own party too? I can't really tell. Then Jesse died and the career of Leni Loud was launched. Now, Leni Loud is still getting endorsed with Jesse in mind! Jesse had one quote that probably gets misunderstood by the Yellows. It's pretty much saying, "It's not enough for an official to be good. There has to be a system that forces them to be good." The quote really might have been used by the late Carlos Celdran too....

The Presidential Game Of Mahjong Appointees VS. Parliamentary's Formalized Government-Opposition Appointees

I remembered writing a post where I said that the PCSO and not the COMELEC should be the one running the presidential elections . It's because when people vote - they're gambling for their future.  Some people voted in hopes that Rodrigo R. Duterte wouldn't be president. Some people voted in hopes that Joseph Estrada wouldn't be president. However, there was no real voice as winners take all. Now, the Duterte Administration has revealed one thing - the presidential system is like a game of mahjong. You get your blocks, you make a bet, you scramble them, and it's very much winner takes all! Now, let's take a look at the Duterte-Robredo Administration. The "opposition" right now is in a very unclear position as the government. Now, let's think of the game of mahjong that was played and how both sides are distributed: Duterte as the president is the head of the state and government. However, his vice president, Leni Loud Robredo, is SIMULTANEOUSLY hi...

A Minister Of Audit And A Shadow Minister Of Audit Would Be Better

I was thinking about the recent awards that Vice President Leni Loud Robredo got from the Commission on Audit (COA). Did she really deserve her awards or is it because its current head, Michael G. Aguinaldo, was an appointee of the late Noynoy Aquino last 2015? I can't be certain if Aguinaldo himself gave it out of honesty or out of partisanism. Though, this reminds me of the big problem of the "opposition" right now is rather scrambled. It's not just the government but ALSO the opposition that's rather scrambled. Leni Loud is trying to become the opposition leader and vice president at the same time. Chito Gascon of the Commission of Human Rights is from the opposition. Aguinaldo of the COA is also from again - the opposition. This is really a joke of a check and balance. Both PDP-Laban and the Liberal Party are in a game of lottery since there's no real formal opposition. However, what if we really had decided that Duterte appoints his own Minister of Audit ...

100% Vaccine-Immune CPP-NPA Variant Is More Worrisome Than The Lambda Variant

It just happens that the COVID-19 does have virus immune strains, right? Two categories of the Philippine VACCINE-IMMUNE variants of COVID-19 that are grouped together are the Oakwood Variant  and the much deadlier than Delta Variant - the Dilawan Variant . Reports of the first Lambda Variant case in the Philippines are on and Lambda seems to have a certain degree of vaccine resistance. However, the Philippines now has a strain that was neglected called the CPP-NPA Variant which is also VACCINE IMMUNE. The mutations are not something to be laughed at as they're more contagious . The Oakwood Variant and the Dilawan Variant were deadly. Now, we've got to think about the rise of the CPP-NPA Variant! The new mutated strain was developed over time alongside the Dilawan Variant and the Oakwood Variant. Now, a new mutated strain was developed for one good reason - the frequently RALLYING members of the CPP-NPA LEGAL FRONTS during the pandemic . Rigoberto Tiglao of the Manila Times men...

Leni Loud Robredo Should Promise To Turn The Philippines Into The Best ASEAN Country In 3-6 Months To Become President This 2022!

I was thinking about the future candidacy of Vice President Leni Loud Robredo. I was looking at two previous campaigns namely the late Noynoy Aquino's "Kung walang corrupt ay walang mahirap." and President Rodrigo R. Duterte's promise to fix the country in three to six months. Both presidents did some good but did they really get rid of crime and corruption? Such promises are too good to be true when you think about them. Yet, both Noynoy and Duterte got VOTED as president in their respective terms anyway. Now, I was thinking about the maybe Leni Loud herself still has a saving grace to win this election. However, this one requires her to make a promise that she can't keep. I'd like to suggest she promise that she'll be turning the Philippines into the best ASEAN country in just three to six months! I was thinking of the "fatal flaw" of Mar Roxas' campaign as to why he didn't win. Roxas promised good outcomes but he didn't make any pr...

The Philippines Can Also Learn From India's Economic Growth

Today is Indian Independence Day, right? It would be the 74th year (75th by lunar reckoning) of India as it was set free from British rule. One may go ahead and think about how India's COVID-19 crisis happened after the Kumbh Mela Festival. That proves that people who don't follow guidelines will really cause an increase in COVID-19 infections. However, we can learn from its successes with economic liberalization aside from federalism and parliamentary. The Indian economic growth  India has had a better performance in its economy. Don't believe me? Try reading the Indian economy in 75 years from NDTV Profit and one of the FUNDAMENTAL components is acceptance of FOREIGN DIRECT INVESTMENT (FDI). Here's a statement from the article I just shared earlier: Foreign Direct Investment: In the pre-liberalised ‘license raj' India, foreign investment was limited if not non-existent. In 1948, the total foreign investment in India stood at ₹ 256 crore. However, since the 1991 l...

Silent No More PH Better Ask Themselves What Contribution They Did During The COVID-19 Crisis

Leave the trolls alone? Not always. DIRECTLY feeding the troll is discouraged but a little misinformation can cause much harm. I'm amazed at how the Dilawans have been accusing the DDS of spreading fake news when they too are spreading fake news. That's one reason why I don't choose either which side - it's because both sides are just as retarded. The late Noynoy Aquino wasn't entirely a failure and neither is President Rodrigo R. Duterte. Now, it's time for me to poke at the stupidity (again) of Silent No More PH . I remembered writing a post about rationalizing about rallying this COVID-19 . It's encouraged by "brilliant experts" to justify rallying. The idea that the protests (daw) didn't lead to the COVID-19 surge is just stupid. It's simple medical science, REALLY! A virus without a host DIES eventually.  Silent No More PH seriously needs to ask itself what it REALLY DID to help reduce COVID-19 spreads. Year after year, the same page r...

The 1987 Constitution Is Indeed A Huge #ChangeScamming, Filipinos Should Be #SilentNoMore About That!

This could be quite an unpopular article especially when I'm using the hashtag #ChangeScamming. Before people think I've defected to the Dilawans - I confess I was once a Dilawan, became a DDS, and now I'm NEITHER because the presidential system REALLY SUCKS! I was thinking about not just one but TWO FAILED PROMISES. The late Noynoy Aquino promised that if there are no corrupt people then there are no poor people. Later, President Rodrigo R. Duterte promised to clean the country in three to six months which is IMPOSSIBLE. Yet, people bought both platforms in two different scenarios. Should the DDS actually thank Noynoy for making a Duterte presidency possible? Noynoy can get lauded left and right but he too had some really questionable appointees. Duterte claimed to hate corrupt officials yet Ramon Tulfo now comments that there's so much corruption under Duterte's watch. Before the DDS and the Dilawans will start another debate - it's more than time to think abo...

The Problem Of Wanting The Philippines To Become "Another Singapore" While REJECTING THE SYSTEM That Made Singapore Great

I find it funny that most of the anti-Duterte pages and the leftist pages (and again, I'm not blasting them for being anti-Duterte but because all they know is to WHINE) even raise SINGAPORE. Wait, I thought the Filipino leftists hate Singapore because of the "martyrdom" of "St." Flor Contemplacion ? Just now, I guess, in order to have something to say, decided to compare PRESIDENT Rodrigo R. Duterte's leadership to the superior leadership of PRIME MINISTER Lee Hsien Loong. I guess the people of pages such as Change Scamming, Silent No More PH, Bantay Nakaw, and Pignoy Ako Blog (which all of these support Antonio F. Trillanes IV) still think it's all about the leaders, not the SYSTEM itself. This is where the anti-Duterte pages don't fit well with the late Duterte critic, Carlos Celdran  gets it. Celdran was a Liberal Party supporter and a Yellow. However, Celdran pointed out one flaw and that's the 1987 Constitution! I would like to put the crit...
