Who could remember the time when Mar Roxas became the "hero" of the "hit" comic book series Sa Gitna Ng Unos or In the Middle of the Storm ? Mar was its first protagonist and now we need a sequel with Vice President Leni Loud Robredo as the heroine of the comic. It just kicked into my mind that the current "opposition" would always bring up Leni Loud's physical presence . You have idiots like Leah Navarro, Agot Isidro, Jover Laurio, and Yoly Villanueva-Ong making such remarks as if President Rodrigo R. Duterte can't command or delegate somebody to do damage check. Also, Duterte's current age and health would put him AT RISK this pandemic. Hopefully, Angat Buhay can still mobilize and provide help when necessary without politicizing. I was thinking about when I decided to watch  The Haunted by ABiaS-CBN. Surprisingly, it's a teleserye from 2019 that lasted for only TEN episodes and wrapped up its plot when needed. Meanwhile, you've got a lost of pointless teleseryes. Who can remember that Mara Clara in the 1990s had a total of 1,156 episodes or Mula Sa Puso had 500+ episodes? Besides, isn't Ang Probinsyano currently ABiaS-CBN's most pointless teleserye ever ? It should be very laughable when you consider that the misadventures of Cardo Dalisay (Coconuts Martin's version) are getting nowhere. That's why I even wrote that Korean crime dramas beat the 1,100+ episodes of the said show . It may be even more than time to END Ang Probinsyano because of it getting stale. This makes you wonder why ABiaS-CBN (and also GMA-7) REFUSE to change the format of teleseryes. It's been 20 years since Typhoon Ruping took place. I decided to write this piece because Typhoon Rolly entered the Philippine Area of Responsibility weeks ago. I was five years old when Typhoon Ruping hit the Philippines on November 18, 1990. It was a horrible Category Five Super Typhoon. It was a powerful typhoon, and I remembered how horrifying it was. I could remember sleeping in total darkness during the evening. The worse thing was that there was no electricity for some time. I think it was ONE MONTH without electricity and the effects were that bad. It didn't help I used to live in an old ancestral house where ghost stories were being told a lot.  The typhoon was just the beginning of the disaster. It didn't help it was boiling hot, and there was no electricity. That means cold water became a luxury. I could remember how our neighbors would ask for water from us because we had a water pump. Who can remember the event when Ateneo De Manila University (ADMU) invited Jover Laurio (of Pignoy Ako Blog fame) while De La Salle University (DLSU) invited Jack Ma the founder of Alibaba? Those events were in 2017. I'm amazed at how the once-revered ADMU, the dream school of many and the school I once aimed for, ended up inviting PAB's head writer Jover as a RESOURCE SPEAKER instead of Jack. I could remember I wrote against his contribution from Rappler where he tried to promote his stupid arguments against constitutional reform . It's really something when the social networks can be SO FULL of noise. You can think of how people can criticize President Rodrigo R. Duterte and Vice President Leni Loud Robredo in their relief efforts. Well, it's not very fortunate that the Bicol region (where Leni Loud comes from) is very prone to typhoons and flooding. The recent viral incident of an ABiaS-CBN news vehicle that refused to give way to an emergency vehicle  brings another evergreen problem to mind. I remembered long ago that I wrote that many Filipinos just don't have the right to drive . One of the reasons why their privileges should be removed (that is, their driver's license) is because of their bad habit that they just DON'T BOTHER give way to emergency vehicles. Yes, it's a very common observation even before that caught on camera incident with ABiaS-CBN. The incident with ABiaS-CBN is but a microcosm of a common, ongoing problem with a LOT of Filipino drivers. Hopefully, ABiaS-CBN will FIRE that crew regardless.
