"Socialism is good because it helps the poor!" is one of the most blatant lies ever. Socialism is good? Well, you're probably talking to the likes of Bernie Sanders or Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC). For the Philippines, you've got the likes of Carlos "Heneral Lunatic" Zarate and Sarah Jane I. Elago promoting such nonsense. Then you've got the obsession with the 4Ps program here in the Philippines. You've got people saying that socialism is good because the production of goods and services (at least, according to socialists) should be owned by the community as a whole. They say capitalism (rather than its MISUSE) is bad because the means of production are owned rather by private individuals than the community as a whole. For the socialists - capitalism is helping billionaires out of the taxes that they didn't pay and socialism is about helping people with the taxes they paid. Just where do they get that concept? Capitalism still requires billionaires to pay their taxes, provide a safe working environment for their workers, give proper wages, and serve their customers they care about IF they want to continue utilizing it. Misuse capitalism and that player will sooner or later go down the drain.
Well, I'd like to say it out loud that socialism is indeed good - good for ONLY those in power. A study of world history and current events will prove it. Just think about the history of China under Mao Zedong and under Deng Xiaoping. Mao's so-called "help the poor" program didn't help the poor - it only helped him and his cronies. Why would people want to work in a socialist state if everybody gets paid equally regardless of rank? Why would a low-ranking employee want to climb up the ladder of being promoted to a higher-level rank means having a HARDER JOB with the SAME AMOUNT OF PAY? Worse, if I get paid minimum wage even if I don't work then I might as well NOT WORK. The type of scheme has been used to keep people poor and powerless because those in power can continue to exploit them. Meanwhile, the socialists are doing EXACTLY what they accuse capitalists in general of doing. They are actually the ones centralizing most of the wealth for themselves.
Equality? Really? Here's a shot of North Korea and South Korea at night. China (in spite of it being a communist country) is really doing MUCH BETTER than North Korea. I remembered watching the K-Drama Crash Landing on You which became a novel way of telling people how communism fails and reeks of hypocrisy. Notice that Pyongyang the imperial city where Emperor Kim Jung Un resides is well-lit while the rest of North Korea has NO ELECTRICITY. Meanwhile, South Korea which is riddled with income inequality has electricity in most places. In South Korea, even low-level workers can enjoy the benefits, and seeing their seniors get higher pay will inspire them to rise above them. Whoever said capitalism is all about exploitation of the workers is dreaming. Instead, the socialists of North Korea are enjoying themselves in the Forbidden City of Pyongyang while the poor people suffer as a result of it. Is it really helping the poor? Also, you may want to see how Nicolas Maduro of Venezuela enjoys his expensive steak dinner while his people are forced to eat garbage.
According to idiots like AOC - being a businessman is the easiest work in the world because all they do is stay in their office all day and it's just the signature of the pen. On the contrary, it's not. The slightest WRONG signature or approval that causes the businessman his entire livelihood. A good businessman knows a highly motivated workforce whether it's the low-rank or the high-rank is needed to produce the billions he or she wants. I wonder has AOC ever read the biography of people like Bill Gates or Warren Buffet? For Filipino socialists - have they even read the biography of
the late, great John Gokongwei's life lessons? I wonder have they even read rags to riches stories?
Rags to riches stories proves that government welfare programs are GARBAGE. I remembered reading the biography of Lucio Tan Sr. where he started off as a TOBACCO FACTORY JANITOR before he became a big shot. I remembered reading the biography of Tony Tancaktiong where before Jollibee - he had to face COMPETITION like Wendy's and McDonald's before his empire expanded. These rags to riches stories never received a SINGLE CENT from the government and they hired poor people to work for them. In exchange, the poor people they employed started to benefit from better work. From low-rank to high-rank - the secret behind billions of pesos is also a well-motivated workforce. Tell me just how is that exploitation when that billions is used to operate the business which includes SALARIES AND BENEFITS? Just think a corporate chairman who does a bad job can be VOTED OUT by the board of directors. Every decision counts and the chairman can't just stay in his airconditioned office and play games all day. One wrong move could mean the end of the business - that's why the chairman is voted OUT if he loses the confidence of the board!
The accusation that capitalism does nothing is absurd. The recent COVID-19 events have proven that it was
capitalism, not socialism, that gave us heroes. Consider who has been giving better food towards government workers and those in need of help. You have businessmen who are giving away free meals to frontline workers whether it's the peacekeeping forces or the medical workers. Though the meals aren't exactly free when you consider that for them to give free meals - they had to sacrifice a portion of their earnings and ingredients in order to do so. I just thought about the quality relief goods that were given such as freshly cooked meals for the frontline workers and for the less fortunate. Meanwhile, what have the socialists given? Nothing but substandard relief goods. I even feel the bundles given by Anakpatis were substandard. Socialists are giving away substandard relief goods while they enjoy the benefits of capitalism - which they hate!
For these socialist politicians - having a lot of poor people without jobs makes their jobs the easiest in the world. All they need to do is to leech on hard-earned taxpayers' money and use it to exploit poor people. These poor people willing to buy their poisonous promises of free stuff are the easiest to recruit. Just think
how laziness is one reason why people get fooled by socialist politicians. They want easy money and free stuff? Well just join the socialist politicians' manpower and they can get easy money from vandalizing and rallying in contrast to a daily job. However, what those suckers don't realize is that the socialist politicians who recruited them have the EASIEST jobs and NOT the hardworking capitalist. A hardworking capitalist has to care about what happens to his underlings. However, a socialist politician doesn't have to because for them - their manpower below them are just expendable pawns in their ruthless application of Mao Zedong's
Art of War. After all, Mao also said that all warfare is based on deception and that's how Mao conquered China - BY DECEPTION!
