Would You Vote For Robredo-Marcos This 2022?

It's really something when people don't do research about why the parliamentary has better checks and balances. The argument of the Marcos years "parliamentary" is still on even when Yellowtard "hero" Ninoy Aquino revealed that it was a MOCK parliamentary . Yes, it was a MOCK parliamentary and one can't really consider how a parliamentary without a parliament is NOT a parliament. Now, if they insist that check and balance would be better under the presidential system with a president and vice president from two different parties  then here's what - why not vote for both Leni Loud Robredo and Bobong Marcos for president and vice president this 2022? Yes, you heard me right! Vote for Leni Loud as president and Bobong as vice president this 2022. Currently, Leni Loud is both an informal opposition leader and vice president at the same time. The whole Duterte-Robredo tandem is laughable . Sure, nothing's wrong with Leni Loud giving constructive cri...

DDS VS. Dilawan Proves Philippines Is MORE THAN READY To Go FULL Parliamentary

The Philippines not ready for parliamentary? I find that funny because the Philippines is showing it's more than ready to accept the parliamentary form of government. Right now, it's a trending battle on social media to have the Diehard Duterte Supporters (DDS) go head-to-head against the Dilawans in social media. I heard some DDS are just as guilty of using fake news against the Dilawans while other fake DDS pages are making fake news to serve as evidence. There are even arguments of who's better between President Rodrigo R. Duterte and Vice President Leni Loud Robredo. Aside from that, a comparison between the current administration and the former president, Noynoy Aquino's administration, is done. The two sides are at constant battle yet there's more press conferences for each other rather than a real live televised debate between the two sides. It's always argued that the parliamentary system can't fit the Philippines for many reasons. Some argue that th...

Rather Than Whine #RIPDemocracy, Why Can't The Philippine Opposition Support #CorrectTheConstitution Instead?

Until now, it's very difficult to get over the joke essay I wrote that Philippine democracy "died" last September 21, 2017 , when it didn't. Trying to compare President Rodrigo R. Duterte to the REAL dictator that's Ferdinand E. Marcos Sr.  should be counted as a very USELESS exercise. For one, ABiaS-CBN is far from shut down . You still have ABiaS-CBN with cable and Internet. I'm still able to watch ANC and the misadventures of Carlo Dalisay in Ang Probinsyano are still airing on cable. The big stunt has always been that democracy has died. However, the big difference between Ninoy Aquino and his son Noynoy Aquino is that one faced a real dictatorship and the other is an imaginary dictatorship. Sure, President Rodrigo R. Duterte needs to control that mouth of his or him insulting Vice President Leni Loud Robredo recently was uncalled for. However, Leni Loud is still in her post, the critics are still criticizing (and Pignoy Ako Blog is still ONLINE), and un...

Economic Protectionism Allowed The Marcos Years Abuses To Happen

Ferdinand E. Marcos Sr. is NOT a hero. Neither is Carlos P. Garcia the founder of the Filipino First Policy. Both of them deserve to be buried next to each other at the Libingan Ng Mga Bayani. Now, it's September 21 and it's really more than time to remind people about the WELL-DOCUMENTED Marcos human rights violations. It's very easy to say #NeverAgain to Marcos . However, #NeverAgain to Marcos will only make sense if you actually knew that his highly PROTECTIONIST regime actually allowed him to do what he did. I don't see how economic protectionism is a blessing except for the Marcos cronies or for the oligarchs. The Filipino people suffered dearly under his protectionist regime and unjust declaration of martial law. It was protectionism that empowered Marcos and his cronies to operate at full force.  How can we say protectionism allowed the Marcos years abuses? A free market would easily get information more spread than usual. What was more interesting was that AB...

Filipino Commies And Their LAME Virtue Signaling

Today is September 21 and the memories of the WELL-DOCUMENTED dark era of the Marcos Years come to mind. However, it's stupid to keep on criticizing the dictator Ferdinand E. Marcos Sr. if you continue to support economic protectionism . Why is it stupid? It was economic protectionism that actually gave Marcos' cronies their power. Now, the Filipino commies will always take whatever opportunity they have for their lame virtue signaling. The Oxford dictionary defines virtue-signaling as, "the action or practice of publicly expressing opinions or sentiments intended to demonstrate one's good character or the moral correctness of one's position on a particular issue." Dictionary.com also states it as, "the sharing of one's point of view on a social or political issue, often on social media, in order to garner praise or acknowledgment of one’s righteousness from others who share that point of view, or to passively rebuke those who do not ". Doesn...

Shouldn't Filipino Communists Welcome Chinese Investors With Open Arms Instead?

It's really ironic at how Filipino communists love communist but HATE Communist China . The levels of stupidity are really SKY HIGH when you consider that China is run by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) yet the Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP) hates it. Now, Neri Colmenares, the current chairman of Bayad Muna even dares to talk about allowing China to enter into strategic industries will be a threat to the Philippines. Isn't it funny that Filipino communists love their doctrine but are afraid of the Philippines becoming a province of China? The current issue of DITO as a company is that one of its backers is China Telecommunications Corporation. Yes, a CHINESE STATE-OWNED company from Beijing, the capital of the People's Republic of China (PRC). Rather than rejoice - why are Filipino communist groups panicking instead? China is a communist country, they want to be legalized and yet they're against the idea of China taking over. They should be happy that inve...

Leni Loud Robredo Should Support ECONOMIC Reforms Now As She Launches Online Platform For Jobseekers

Whatever Vice President Leni Loud Robredo is doing if it should benefit this COVID-19 crisis then let her do it. Even President Rodrigo R. Duterte did good in firing PACC's ex-chief Manuelito Luna from and recognized her initiatives to help. However, what she needs to consider is that CONSTITUTIONAL REFORM is badly needed to get her proposals done . Online platform for jobseekers is GOOD but how can there be more jobs when there's still 60-40 restrictions going on? If 60-40 restrictions weren't on then think that the Philippines may have had several telcos, ABiaS-CBN and Rappler wouldn't get into the trouble they're in right now, and that there will be more available, faster Internet for job seekers. The question is does she even support revising Article XII by removing the whole negative list?  As said, online platform by Leni Loud is not a bad thing. However, consider the two major hurdles. The Philippines has the SLOWEST Internet in ASEAN and 60-40. She needs to ...

Hyderabadi-Style Indian Food: A Massive Investment Opportunity In The Bicol Region

Cultural immersion can be fun, isn't it? While I was Googling for turmeric in the Philippines - it turns out that the Bicol region actually is a pioneer in growing turmeric. Turmeric has been used in a variety of dishes such as Middle Eastern and South Asian dishes. Bicol also grows a lot of chilies which they use in their Magayon Festival. This would be an opportunity for Indian restaurant owners (who specialize in Hyderabadi-style foods) to open up in the Bicol region. At the same time, this would be an income opportunity for the Bicol region and in extension, the national government.  What's in common with Bicolanos and Hyderabadis? Bicolanos love spicy food and their food is said to be spicier than the rest of Filipino cuisine. Both Bicolanos and Hyderabadis use coconut milk in some of their dishes. Some Indian curry would use coconut milk as a flavoring over ghee (which is clarified butter). I've heard of fish curry cooked with coconut milk in India - think of it a spi...

The Hypocrisy Of Admiring Lee Kuan Yew's Quote Against Marcos While Going Against Constitutional Reform

Well, every time it's September - one person comes to my mind namely the dictator Ferdinand E. Marcos. Although he's already dead - many of his deals such as a protectionist Filipino state maintained by OFWs still live on. It's really crazy how the Dilawans use whatever quote they can to discredit Marcos and one of them is the "dictator", the late Lee Kuan Yew. Lee's quote on Marcos really means a lot when you think about the culture of Filipinos - being too soft and too forgiving. Not to mention, he made mention of Marcos who pillaged the country for two decades. I don't want to deny the WELL-DOCUMENTED abuses of the Marcos Years yet the Yellowtards are just as dumb. They admire Lee for bashing Marcos yet they don't want to follow his style of governance. Although Rigoberto Tiglao is an OLD FOSSIL with economics - he did reveal that human rights abuses under Marcos and Cory were no different . I do still facedesk at Tiglao's statement that Singa...

Love Economic Protectionism? Then Let's Make Marcos' Birthday A NATIONAL HOLIDAY!

It's easy to hate the Marcos Years for the WELL-DOCUMENTED human rights violations such as illegal detention, unlawful arrests, and rampant corruption. What is most often forgotten or overlooked is that the Marcos Years was also plagued with rampant crony capitalism are because of two decades of ECONOMIC PROTECTIONISM under his rule. Yes, that's why I wrote an article some time ago that it doesn't make sense to criticize Ferdinand E. Marcos Sr. if you love economic protectionism . It's useless to compare Marcos to Adolf Hitler if you don't see that the latter too was a supporter of economic protectionism . Some are objecting to the celebration of Marcos Day, right? Yes, Marcos is no hero (in the sense of great accomplishments for the better) but I have no qualms about burying him in the Libingan Ng Mga Bayani or the Graveyard of the Heroes. What's even better is that Marcos was buried with another "hero" named Carlos P. Garcia who started the Failipino ...

Would You Rather Have Slow, Expensive Internet Ran By Filipinos Than Fast, Affordable Internet Ran By Foreigners?

It's really a KNOWN fact that the Philippines indeed has VERY SLOW Internet. But do you know what's the bigger reason? It's irritating when you ask some Filipinos if they want faster Internet then they will answer yes. However, you ask them if you want foreigners to do business for better Internet - just expect them to give all their faulty reasoning. If there's one good reason why the Philippine Internet is THAT SLOW - consider that 7,107 islands vs. two telcos. There's only the duopoly of PLDT and Globe. It's also expensive because the demand for Internet services is MUCH HIGHER than the supply for Internet services.  The recent third telco from China is called DITO. Sure, I'm getting wary of China due to events such as the bullying of the Philippines and other neighboring countries. Also, I think the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) is also to blame aside from the World Health Organization (WHO) as to why COVID-19 or the Legacy Virus ended up becoming worldw...

For The Love Of Trial By Teleserye

Here's a video of the late Carlos Celdran at the premiere of the documentary Give Up Tomorrow - a documentary that was made popular because of the problematic Jacqueline Comes Home movie. On September 15, 1997 , Francisco Juan "Paco" G. Larranaga was ILLEGALLY arrested without a proper warrant. Celdran himself last 2012 had spoken such words that he called it "trial by publicity". The big issue was that two big cases pinned two INNOCENT people namely Hubert Webb and Paco. Hubert was in America with his family when the Vizconde Massacre happened. Poor Lauro Vizconde died believing Hubert was guilty of murdering his family and maybe many members of the Public Attorney's Office (PAO) were still misled by false evidence. Paco was in Manila on July 16, 1997, when the crime allegedly happened.  After watching Give Up Tomorrow and Crime Investigation Asia: The Vizconde Massacre  - there are a lot of inconsistencies that need to be addressed in both cases. Jessica...

#NeverAgain To Marcos? What About #NeverAgain To Protectionist, Presidential Governance?

Let's consider the fact that the Marcos Years were DEFINITELY not the golden years. But do you even know WHY they're not the Golden Years? You can always talk about human rights violations. When talking about Adolf Hitler's Nazi Germany - it's easy to first raise about the massacre of the Jewish people or how much Hitler was a dictator. However, are they aware that the Hitler Years were also protectionist ? Hitler's Germany was a protectionist regime under the Nazi Party. Nazi means National SOCIALISM. Mao Zedong's China was also a highly economic protectionist country. North Korea is a highly economic protectionist country. Are the Marcos critics aware that the Marcos Years were actually run with protectionism ? Yes, that means what's the use really of tagging #NeverAgain with Marcos when you actually support economic protectionism?  Scared of another Marcos leadership if we shift to parliamentary? Well, Ninoy Aquino himself that the Marcos Years were a MOC...

COVID-19 Will Force Filipinos To Rethink Their Christmas Traditions

It's the -ber months already and is it me or is Christmas MUCH LONGER in the Philippines than any place in the world? I mean, Christmas season should only be for December but why are we playing Christmas songs when it's not yet December? The recent COVID-19 crisis has really caused a lot of standstills. True, economic activities are slowly returning but most restaurants today are still more open for takeout than dine-in. Others are still working at a skeletal workforce. True, taxes are slowly getting collected again (which is GOOD) but the COVID-19 infection is still there. With the -ber months kicking in then Christmas comes into the head. But it's also time to rethink the "Filipino way" of celebrating Christmas. Thankfully, it's not Christmas every day in the Philippines . We need to really review a lot of common, irritating habits during the Christmas season . Overspending (such as having lavish parties even when can't afford), asking for pinaskohan fro...

Many Filipinos Have No Sense of Shame Because The System ENCOURAGES It

I remembered the time I wrote about the problem of Filipinos who have very thick faces and very thin skins . The symptoms of the case can be seen with Vice President Maria Leonor "Leni Loud" G. Robredo and Antonio "Sonny" F. Trillanes IV. Both Leni Loud and Trillanes show signs that they have no sense of shame. For one, Leni Loud refused to resign from the Inter-Agency Committee on Anti-Illegal Drugs (ICAD) so she got FIRED for her bad performance. Leni Loud could've saved herself the shame if she resigned and admitted that she wasn't cut out. Another is Trillanes who shamelessly makes false accusations against people with very little to no proof, walks out of the Senate when it's convenient, and not to mention he still hasn't answered the questions that Juan Ponce-Enrile raised against him regarding his trips to China. Trillanes' trips to China might be linked to illegal drugs shipment from Chinese triads though it's just a hunch. Others say...
