Why #NoToABSCBNShutdown Hashtagging It Together With #Defend PressFreedom Is VERY MISLEADING

It's no secret that reading comprehension in the Philippines is DANGEROUSLY LOW. Many times, people just feel like they don't need evidence to back their arguments, they just comment away because they assume they're so smart and anybody who disagrees with them must be effing stupid, right? Now, the hashtag #NoToABSShutdown is going on. It's also tagged along with #DefendPressFreedom. Others are thinking that a grudge was held. Others are now saying that the non-renewal of the government franchise equals clampdown on free speech (and activist groups are assisting ABiaS-CBN in the protest). Others have foolishly rejoiced thinking ABiaS-CBN is done for good when it can still operate ONLINE or on CABLE TV. ABiaS-CBN can still upload its sh*tty teleseryes on Netflix, i-Flix, or any platform they choose.

We have the point-missing troll from Anakbayad named Teodoro "Toady" Casino. Casino himself now even wants to say this which I'll translate in English:

Why is not now that ABS-CBN has been closed? It's because there's a lockdown. They know that people just can't go out and protest any time they want.

Under Duterte, it's not just people that will die from COVID-19. Even democracy is murdered by them.

Casino dares to talk about democracy when he is a COMMUNIST? The evil smile on his face suggests he's probably planning something evil in this pandemic. It always wants to ask if Rappler is supposedly defending "press freedom" then why put Casino in their team? Having communist groups rally for both ABiaS-CBN and Rappler may have confirmed Rigoberto Tiglao's article that had shown the dirty connections between ABiaS-CBN, the communist groups, and the Marcoses. Casino's quick defense for ABiaS-CBN and using the misleading hashtags is something to think about. Why are people like Kadamay and Gagabriela helping out ABiaS-CBN? Sounds really that the non-renewal of the franchise is really revealing a LOT of dirty connections, right?

Now, let's consider the three statements from the Opposition itself. It turns out that Antonio Carpio, Fr. Ranhillo Aquino of San Beda, and Noel Tijam all agree that it's a legal issue. There's really no freedom of speech involved. The real issue is that ABiaS-CBN has been given an issue for TEMPORARY cease and desist as far as AIRWAVES are concerned. Fr. Aquino of San Beda says that no TV network can operate as a TV network in the absence of a legislative franchise. A government franchise is a privilege - NOT A RIGHT. ABiaS-CBN has the right to freedom of speech. Just that, they lost their privilege to the free airwaves because of certain alleged violations still under investigation. However, ABiaS-CBN is still able to operate ONLINE and on CABLE TV. ANC is still up and running. TV Patrol is still available online. You can still get your news on the ABiaS-CBN News Website.

If those teleserye idiots are complaining about losing their homes then think again. Just because ABiaS-CBN has losts its government franchise doesn't mean teleseryes have to go. Consider the fact that ABiaS-CBN and GMA-7 have some of their idiotic teleseryes on platforms like Netflix and i-Flix. Do you want to see the first 50 episodes of Ang Probinsyano? Well it's uploaded as Brother and you can watch it. Do you want to see La Luna Sangre? It's already also on Netflix. If they have new teleseryes then they might consider changing the pace to a weekly premiere then pay Netflix or any network to make it available for later view. For one, the rather thankfully short teleserye The Haunted only lasted for 10 45-minute episodes. They could start off with that one or start off by making teleseryes a WEEKLY thing, right?

This comparison of Duterte to Ferdinand E. Marcos Sr. is just too far-fetched. Obviously, #SilentNoMorePH is ran by point-missing idiots. As I love to say it, the Yellowtards have NO RIGHT to criticize Marcos if they support economic protectionism. What's the use of hating Marcos if they support the rule of 60-40 and 100% Pinoy-only owned media? Isn't that something Marcos also used during his "golden" years where he followed Carlos P. Garcia's stupid policy? Also, comparing Marcos to Duterte is far-fetched. It's not just that Marcos was a dignified tyrant who had a charismatic ability and Duterte lacks that dignity. Do you remember when Duterte declared martial law in Mindanao? The martial law was because of poor peace and order. Did Duterte's martial law suspend elections? Duterte's martial law in Mindanao was declared with the approval of Congress. From what I heard, Marcos declared martial law out of the blue.

So let's do a little history lesson, shall we? ABiaS-CBN was really SHUT DOWN FOR REAL during the Marcos "Golden" Years. Eugenio Lopez Jr. and Sergio Osmena III were really on a REAL run out of their life. ABiaS-CBN was rendered INOPERATIONAL. However, ABiaS-CBN right now is STILL OPERATIONAL. I wonder if the idiots behind #SilentNoMorePH (and I think Kris Aquino also boosts them too aside from Pignoy Ako Blog) even realize that ABiaS-CBN is still operational on the Internet and Cable TV. The only thing ABiaS-CBN lost for now is FREE AIRWAVES. Then again those Yellowtard Pages are point missing trolls. They're not criticizing Duterte to help him. Instead, it looks like they're involved in some huge destablization plot. Again, the real problem of #SilentNoMorePH is not their dislike for Duterte but their one-sidedness. There's a difference between inciting sedition and criticizing Duterte. If their motive is to criticize him for the better then fine and good. However, that doesn't seem to be their motive, right?

Let's consider ABiaS-CBN's status under Duterte. True, Duterte was sounding scary when he wanted to shut down the network for its biases. However, he was still willingly open for negotiation. The issue to "cease and desist" came from the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC). They were yanked off the airwaves but guess what - they are still able to deliver their FRESH CONTENT on ANC, their news website, Youtube, and Facebook. They were not given an order by the NTC that they can't broadcast through other means. It's just that they LOST their privilege of free airwaves due to some technicalities in their contract. It's just like how Rappler is still operational today but it's got some issues with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). Also, Maria Ressa is still free as a bird after she was able to legally post bail after she got charged with certain charges. So, why is ABiaS-CBN even insisting press freedom is under attack even when some members of the Opposition are saying the problem is their privilege? They still have their press freedom with the Internet. Why is that I can still watch ANC and watch their biased news on other outlets? It's because they still have it. Yet, they dared to lie through their teeth (with the help of the Makati Business Club) that press freedom is "under attack".

If anything, the Western liberal media needs to INVESTIGATE first and verify the facts. Sadly, there are always those stupid Americans (and also stupid Europeans) who feel like they know the Philippines on the palm of their hand. That's why I even wrote a joke that Filipinos should go to the United States of America or to European Union countries to get the fictitious degree called Bachelor of Science in Philippine Expertise. Right now, Western countries can't even handle their problems yet they are already meddling in the Philippines for the nth time. If they can't even solve COVID-19 in their home countries then STFU. Then again they don't do it for free, right? I bet they charge really hefty fees to do what they do. Just think about it that Agnes Callamard also was paid for by Chito Gascon himself. Sometimes, I think it's better to let those arrogant white men be arrogant. Just think they are digging their pits while they consume the money of morons who hire them for their "expertise".

This has me even imagine another scenario. What if ABiaS-CBN will have a technical crew upgrade their servers? What if Netflix will ask for higher payment due to the fact that they will be putting any future ongoing teleseryes they have on Netflix to premiere EACH AND EVERY SINGLE DAY? Would they suddenly still appeal to the #DefendPressFreedom card when in reality it was an issue of unpaid bills or service charges? Hmmm... think about that!
