Since When Did ABiaS-CBN's Franchise Renewal Become More Important Than COVID-19?

Seems like it for ABiaS-CBN celebrities, right?
I remembered writing some time ago about K-Drama stars flood of donation vs. ABiaS-CBN celebrities rants. At first, I started feeling sorry because ABiaS-CBN's shutdown (if ever it goes totally out) might cause people their livelihood. However, it's alleged that ABiaS-CBN doesn't treat most of its employees well so is the fight really worth it? Now, it seems that ABiaS-CBN celebrities are now putting more priority on renewing their franchise. They are just using the 11,000+ employees as an excuse yet the BIR reports there's only around 4,000+. I'm even wondering about the priority of ABiaS-CBN's celebrities. Now, they are tagging #NoToABSCBNShutdown which is rather misleading. If ABiaS-CBN were truly shutdown then why are they saying on social media you can still get your news ONLINE or on ANC? Why is ANC still available for viewing? ABiaS-CBN is only revoked of its government franchise due to technicalities. Turns out that head honcho Gabby Lopez had violated the charter by being an American citizen, huh?

Korean celebrities have their #ThankYouChallenge. It's a long string from them if you ask me. I've seen earlier ones such as unattractive yet kindhearted Shin Hye Sun, eccentric beauty Suzy Bae, cartoony macho man Lee Seung Gi, and really hot with a heart of gold Jin A Nana (photo above near Shaina Magdayao) doing the thank you challenge. They are supporting the medical workers in South Korea. They are banded together by flooding money for frontline workers during the COVID-19 crisis. They are putting aside their careers to help others. I'm not going to dismiss Angel Locsin Colmenares' help (and also that of Buhay Tanga) she did during the crisis. However, I'm now questioning Angel's sincerity due to the current state of events where they're making it look like ABiaS-CBN's franchise renewal is way more important than the COVID-19 crisis.

ABiaS-CBN expecting its franchise to be renewed just because it's a crisis is like a thief expecting leniency from it. Let's consider the fact that ABiaS-CBN had violated certain rules in the 1987 Constitution with its privilege to free-to-air. Unfortunately, they have had several issues that they have to fix if they expect to get it back. Its rival network GMA-7 has been more compliant with the law. So far, I don't like GMA-7 either but their celebrities seem to have much fewer issues going on. An expired license is an expired license. However, the only license that expired for them is the government franchise and their business permit wasn't revoked. They were given cease and desist orders because of EXPIRY. The string continues as Kim Chiu the summa cum laude of the Pinoy Big Brother University and Coconuts Martin goes on.

Do they think their rants and temper tantrums can help them? Do they think a viral video of a child crying over not being able to watch the ABiaS-CBN noontime show can help them? I wonder if they've seen the petition for one million signatures for ABiaS-CBN's renewal has not even reached a half UNTIL TODAY? The celebrity rants would probably not gather sympathy. For ABiaS-CBN celebrities who voted for President Duterte (such as Angel) - did they think that President Duterte will make an exemption for them? Also, it was the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) that revoked their free-to-air privilege. Again, did the notice say they can't go online? Again, Duterte had his grievances due to how imbalanced the reporting is. However, Duterte can't launch an executive order to have it shut down. Their temper tantrums just won't help them even ONE BIT and it's only making people lose more sympathy. Are they thinking that it will help people get the signatures that they need?

If these people are supporting economic protectionism then they had it coming. If they want 100% Pinoy-only owned network then did ABiaS-CBN even comply with it? To say that ABiaS-CBN gives "life saving news" and that it's needed during this crisis is something. ABiaS-CBN can still provide COVID-19 updates online in this digital age. Since when did ABiaS-CBN even become the only channel that the Department of Health (DOH) needs to deliver its message? GMA-7 is also giving life-saving news this COVID-19 crisis. I may hate the teleseryes of GMA_7 and their bad dubbing of foreign non-English shows but at least their news is way more balanced. This is really just proof of an incredibly huge failure of mind.
