It's Only Proper To Revoke The Franchises Of Those Who Joined The Transport Strike

This is so far one of the best news ever. Yes, it's time to phase out the old jeepneys in favor of modernization. Those PUVs who participated in the strike DESERVE to have their franchises revoked . Drivers who have joined the activist protests with groups such as the stupid IBON foundation deserve to have their licenses suspended or even REVOKED too. We've got to consider this fact - many of today's jeepneys are now long obsolete . A lot of jeepneys run today and have become metal death traps for this reason - they're now very old pieces of machinery. The proposal has been to modernize them. If a piece of machinery is too old then can you still rehabilitate, repair, and upgrade them? It's just like adding new components to obsolete machinery - it will no longer be compatible. It's just like replacing my old PC because there are no parts compatible with it. The same can be said about jeepneys. If these old jeepneys can no longer have new parts compatible wit...

The Anti-FDI Crowd Better Prove That First World Countries Are Protectionist And Third World Countries Are Free Trade

I still can't forget this ridiculously stupid meme of Heneral Lunatic and Pedro Paterno. Here we have Heneral Lunatic's ridiculous idea that needs to be tested on some uncharted island . If they're not willing to test their ridiculous idea on some uncharted island then they better prove the statement with facts. Didn't Heneral Lunatic say that we need to study history? By saying so, he's practically SHOT HIMSELF at the foot with that statement. Now, they need to present CONCRETE DATA that will once and for all prove that first-world countries progressed not by economic liberalization but through economic protectionism. They insist that we must study history and look at first-world countries, right? They better bring evidence to their claims! Here are a few things that the anti-FDI crowd needs to prove to be real to justify economic protectionism: Prove that Lee Kuan Yew turned Singapore into a first world country by economic protectionism than by free trade. The...

The Soviet Union's Fall Proves That Economic Protectionism Doesn't Work

I still laugh whenever I listen to the Soviet Anthem sung in English. The whole song bragged about how the Soviet Union would live through the ages which it DIDN'T. The song wanted to brag at how their mighty republic will ever endure. However, history has proven that the Soviet Union didn't last through the ages as intended. Why's that? Socialism doesn't work!  Here's an excerpt of how socialism is defined in the article " Socialism: The Opiate of the Corrupt and Ignorant ": Socialism has existed in many forms which lie on a continuum, from the central planning nightmare of the USSR, to the Scandinavian democratic experiments of several decades ago. The idea that unites the various embodiments of socialism along that continuum is that economic freedom is counterproductive to the aspirations of humanity. It would be far better and fairer, socialists argue, for the state to distribute scarce resources rather than letting the market allocate goods...

Does Neri Colmenares Know The BIGGER Picture Why The Marcos Years Weren't The Golden Years?

Before you complain about martial law - do some research first about what it means. Martial law is defined even by the 1987 Constitution as follows: Section 18. The President shall be the Commander-in-Chief of all armed forces of the Philippines and whenever it becomes necessary, he may call out such armed forces to prevent or suppress lawless violence, invasion or rebellion. In case of invasion or rebellion, when the public safety requires it , he may, for a period not exceeding sixty days, suspend the privilege of the writ of habeas corpus or place the Philippines or any part thereof under martial law. Within forty-eight hours from the proclamation of martial law or the suspension of the privilege of the writ of habeas corpus, the President shall submit a report in person or in writing to the Congress. The Congress, voting jointly, by a vote of at least a majority of all its Members in regular or special session, may revoke such proclamation or suspension , which revocation sha...

Don't Criticize The Marcos Years If You Support Economic Protectionism

I don't want to dare deny that I don't go solid on any politician. Just because I don't support the Aquinos doesn't automatically mean I support the Marcoses. Just because the Noynoying Years weren't the golden years doesn't mean that the Marcos Years were the golden years either. You've got Aquino loyalists who want to ban the Marcoses from entering their campuses. I don't deny that the martial law years were abusive but let's get to more than just the abuses. Do they even know how the late Ferdinand E. Marcos Sr. was actually holding a PROTECTIONIST REGIME. The 1987 Constitution (which is just a band-aid solution) isn't entirely to blame for decades-long state protectionism. You can thank the late Carlos P. Garcia for that too. That's why Marcos deserves to be buried at the mockery of a graveyard known as the Libingan Ng Mga Bayani or Graveyard of the Heroes. It's stupid how there are Marcos critics who continue to demonize the Mar...

What's The Use Of Saying That The Philippines Is Democratic While It's A Protectionist State?

It's probably an overstatement to call the Philippines as a supposedly free and democratic country. Some say that democracy was restored in 1986 and supposedly "died" on September 21, 2017 . Before we even call a democracy a democracy - we need to understand what it means. If you've at least taken your basic Civics and Culture classes - you may notice that the term democracy is a government of the PEOPLE, by the PEOPLE, and for the PEOPLE. It's not a government that's only for the majority, by the majority, and of the majority. A real democracy caters to both majorities and minorities. The majority wins but they shouldn't take all. Minorities are given their right to be heard and criticize the majority. But that doesn't seem to be the case of the Philippines. What I'm seeing is not really democracy but a crowd-based dictatorship that has prevailed for years . If there's one tyranny that the Philippines has been facing even before 1987 - it...

The Irony Of Spreading Filipino Communist Agenda Using IMPORTED, CAPITALIST-Made Devices

Here's a video of Filipino communists singing the Internationale in the Tagalog language. This really makes me laugh for this reason - communism has NEVER been compatible with capitalism. Communism itself is built on the premise of socialism. Socialism is defined by Investopedia as a populist economic system that bases its economic and political decisions on production and distribution. A purely socialist system would have all legal production and distribution dictated made by the government and citizens rely on the state for their basic needs. On the other hand, capitalism is defined by Investopedia as an economic system where private individuals or businesses own capital goods. The production of goods and services would be based on supply and demand. These two concepts are just very contradictory. What makes the video of those singing the Internationale contradictory to their so-called nationalism ? The Internet is a product of capitalism and it's not even a Filipino in...
