Making It Fun in the Philippines

Well, the Yellowtards indeed have a history of fear-mongering, don't they? Did these guys do any research or are they fearing them and their kind will be forced to straighten up in a Parliamentary setting? So what does it mean that a parliamentary form of government will have no term limits? Did it mean that would have either Fidel V. Ramos or Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo succeeded that they would forever be in power? Vocabulary.com  defines a term of office as, "the term during which some position is held". Encylopedia.com defines a term limit as, "a rule that prevents government officials from serving for more than a specified number of terms". What does it mean that a parliamentary has no term limits? While elections do happen within a time interval -- it means that a person can serve several terms for as long as he or she is qualified. I really have to marvel at how STUPID Senate President Tito Sotto is. But let's see how he'd fare in a parliamentary government? I don't care what position he will get whether he would be a Member of the Parliament or the next Speaker of the House -- I really can't imagine him playing Aquaman with the Philippine Parliament. Just hearing him talk about the fishes from the Philippines and China is just stupid. Any fish supposedly from China caught in Philippine territory belong to Filipinos. Any fish supposedly from Philippine territory caught in Chinese territory belong to Chinese. The issue is more about ZONAL regulation than where the fish comes from. Whatever bad happens to Kris Aquino seems to be foreshadowing more of the fall of the Dilawans, isn't it? Just recently, an incident that reveals that she was nearly struck by lightning . I find the whole incident WTF for this reason. Water is a conductor of electricity and lightning is electricity. Anybody who has passed through high school physics should know that! She may have had graduated from a prestigious school but she sure lacks common sense, doesn't she?  This incident with Kris shows why the following simple guidelines is a must. I remembered writing about how can Filipinos expect progress if many of them don't even want to follow simple guidelines . The guidelines are not there to be repressive. I still remember that very stupid fat man who even dared to say that he would kill himself if he has to follow rules . Image Source The question is, "This is even news?" Awkward moments happen to ANYONE and not just President Rodrigo R. Duterte. CRappler having been a journalism organization should be more focused on bigger details and not on something like this. Both Filipino President Duterte and Singaporean Prime Minister Lee Hsien Long had an awkward moment. It happens but it's not a big deal! It's not like what happened to the Indian politician Surendra Furtado  whose attention-seeking campaign went wrong and nearly endangered people riding the weed cutter. And now...  Well, did they even forget that Noynoy Aquino too had an awkward moment too? Not that it's newsworthy either. However, the Dilawans do have a fine case of selective outrage and selective justice such as fact-checking only when it's convenient for them, right?

"We cannot do away with tradition." has always been a typical excuse for Filipinos who love to use their identity to enjoy their blunder . Now, the recent Manila Water Crisis has hit and yet they have the nerve to continue celebrating the Basaan (dousing of water) Festival in Manila. Isn't it common sense that if there's a water crisis then you must SAVE WATER? If they must celebrate then they could do without wasting much water during the event! But as said the festivals must go on the way they are, right? This reminds me of the stupidity of one of General Luna's men namely  Tomas Mascardo . It was he who decided that attending the town fiesta was more important than the ongoing war.  They even decided to have firetrucks waste precious water all in the name of tradition. What if a FIRE hit that day? Would they still want to hold the Basaan Festival? Instead, it had to go on with people having to get wet all in the name of tradition . I guess people will have ...

I remembered how I wrote a joke on whether or not you'd avail of Antonio Trillanes IV's mobile plan . Can you imagine him selling his mobile plan in a parliamentary system especially if he has to face the weekly question hour ? Bad news for him is that it won't work for this reason.
