Anti-Reform Pasaways Have NO RIGHT To Use Taiwan's COVID-19 Success In Their Virtue Signals If They Continue Being Anti-Reform

Well, today is Taiwan's Independence Day, right? I was thinking of the time when I actually wrote about Jover Laurio of Pignoy Ako Blog in Taiwan. I was wishing that Jover would run for senator under the Liberal Party since her sponsor Vice President Leni Loud Robredo is running for president. I even want to see Jover win a Nobel Peace Prize award because of how questionable nominees are. Now, it would be very easy to see pages like Change Scamming, Silent No More PH, and Bantay Nakaw to name a few of those pages. It's NOT wrong to highlight any failures of the Duterte Administration's failures during the COVID-19 pandemic. The great Mahathir Mohamad supports having an opposition and criticism as part of government growth. However, what amazes me is that the anti-reform pasaways have been highlight the failures of the Duterte Administration during COVID-19 using Taiwan. Why amazing? Read on and you'll find out why.

Some of the anti-reform pasaways are actually CPP-NPA LEGAL FRONTS

Whether we want to admit it or not but some of the anti-reform pasways are CPP-NPA LEGAL FRONTS. The CPP-NPA means COMMUNIST PARTY of the Philippines-New People's Army. Ironically, it also has NDF which means National Democratic Front. How can you be communist and democratic at the same time? It would be very ironic indeed at how this is happening. Ironic that even these groups hate China so much. Joma Sison could've secured a deal with Deng Xiaoping during his exile for asylum and firearms. Yet, the CPP-NPA doesn't respect Deng at all unlike they do with Mao Zedong. Sison renounces Deng as a traitor to their cause while he ironically hides in the Netherlands and not in North Korea or Venezuela. Sison could've been a little more consistent if he was hiding in Beijing under President Xi Jinping's protection.

If the CPP-NPA wanted to highlight any COVID-19 success stories - why not use Vietnam? Vietnam is still a communist country in some way while it accepts foreign investments as pat of its modern communism. Vietnam has managed to do better economically than democratic Philippines. This isn't to say that the Philippines should become the Communist Republic of the Philippines. Vietnam's glorious communist state practices free market communism.

Meanwhile, the story of Taiwan's separation from China is because of communism. Doesn't the CPP-NPA have Mao as one of its role models? Chiang Kai Shek, though corrupt, did the right thing to flee to Taiwan. Taiwan ended up becoming the democratic Republic of China. Talks about reunification are on their way. If the CPP-NPA and their legal fronts want to be consistent -they should side with CHINA and Xi in that matter. They shouldn't even bother to pathetically try and chase off the Chinese military from the West Philippine Sea - hopefully to be renamed as the Dilawan Sea with an independent Republika Ng Spratlys.

How Taiwan COVID-19 success stories don't only highlight the failures of Duterte's administration but ALSO the pasaway stupidity

I'm amazed at how pasaway "thought leaders" like Jover and Gerry Cacanindin rant this and that. It's not wrong to highlight any failures like overworked frontliners or a lack of reports. For example, I believe Francisco Duque needs to be answerable for any failures that happened. However, to demand everything on the government is tantamount to a welfare state - something that modern communists reject. Deng himself was a great communist - he practically abolished the welfare state and demanded that you work or no pay in his glorious communist state. I'm not saying that the government should be left alone or one should comply without questioning. The problem is when pasaways complain - they aren't willing to cooperate. Lockdown? They complain and demand lockdowns to be eased. No lockdown? They want a lockdown and say that it should've done earlier. In short, pasaways can NEVER make up their mind. Why even bother pleasing them?

The real success story of Taiwan involves a strong woman and a vice president - both better than Leni Loud herself. Tsai Ing Wen is a real strong woman for both genders to look up to. Former vice president Chen Chien is an epidemiologist. The secrets of Taiwan's better recovery are capitalism and compliance. Taiwan is not afraid to accept foreign investments like not having 60-40 or any unreasonable restrictions. Also, Taiwan has a very high compliance rate during COVID-19 - not much like the Philippines. The pasaways are both anti-capitalist (such as demanding a welfare state) and anti-compliance. How can they expect the Philippines to be like Taiwan if they refuse Taiwan's secrets to success? Taiwan isn't successful because "there's no Marcos or Duterte". Instead, it's success is due to its capitalist spirit even if it's a presidential system with parliamentary features.

Meanwhile, the Philippines still has a very pasaway culture not just before the Marcos Years but EVEN after the Marcos Years. I'm not saying that the Marcos Years' brutality should be forgotten. However, I'm highlighting that overthrowing a tyranny for a culture of dysfunction is like replacing one broken system for another broken system. The late despot Ferdinand E. Marcos was already overthrow. However, some of Marcos' policies such as economic protectionism still continued. The whole constitutional reform during Marcos' time was a MOCKERY - it wasn't even a real parliament. An interesting note is that PDP-Laban was also founded by the late Ninoy Aquino along with the late Aquilino Pimentel Jr. Ninoy was in favor of martial law but he was against the ABUSES of the Marcos Regime. Martial law should only be feared only when it's misused and abused - not fearing it for its mere existence since even the current constitution allows it in times of danger. For example, declaring martial law during times of crisis is needed while soldiers and policemen need to be held accountable if they ever step their boundaries.

It's stupid to complain about the rising COVID-19 debts while rejecting economic reform and demanding more free stuff. It's amazingly stupid how these people might even say Taiwan developed its sariling kakayahan (own ability) and didn't accept foreign investments. Excuse me - these people need to try and tell Taiwan that! I would imagine the Taiwanese government laughing at their faces. Taiwan did develop its sariling kakahayan while inviting foreign investments! Local businessmen were encouraged in do business while subjecting them to fair competition. The late Lee Kuan Yew invited foreign investors to Singapore as part of its development. Foreign investors means accepting more competitors, which in turn, challenges the local businessmen to do better and seek opportunities. If you're afraid of competition then you have no right to do business. A real businessperson isn't afraid of clean competition - he or she faces it head-on. A real businessperson sees competition as the opportunity to grow. A real businessperson sees that if their customers and service providers have competitors then isn't it time to grow your network? A businessperson can get several service providers, suppliers, and customers in the face of a competitive market economy.

In short, pasaways demand for a solution. However, when the solution is given to them, they COMPLAIN NON-STOP. Ironic how they can use Taiwan's success for their virtue signal in one and in the next, the say, "Tumingin ka sa salamin. Hindi tayo Taiwan." (Look at the mirror, we're not Taiwan) or "Hindi pwedeng gayahin ng Pilipinas ang Taiwan sa kahit anong bagay!" (We can't imitate Taiwan in any thing." Really, I'm laughing and cringing at the same time at such stupid logic!
