I'm amazed at the ARROGANCE that Maria Ressa possesses. I guess she never learned ANYTHING from the BBC HARDtalk with Stephen Sackur. Sackur was definitely NOT IMPRESSED by Ressa's winning the Nobel Fish Fries. The event was VERY SELF-DEFEATING since Rappler once wrote about the Nobel Peace Prize losing its prestige. I'm laughing now that Ressa won an award again. It's because she can get EVERY AWARD she can get but her credibility has SANK SO LOW. That's why I could care less because her awards come from the so-called "experts of the world" who can't even fix their own problems.
Speaking of the Emmy - it's time to think about how the Emmy is also a joke. Did you know that the Emmy has hit an ALL TIME LOW last September 13, 2022? I'm not a bit surprised at how Ressa gets awards from people like her. The Emmy's is the ABSURD LEVELS OF LIBERAL BIAS. Ressa is pretty much having liberal bias in the way she does things. Just think Ressa was raised in the USA for a good portion of her life when her mother remarried. Ressa was later adopted by her American stepfather. Ressa's accent should tell you she grew up in the USA.
People might say that so and so is just jealous of Ressa. Why should I be jealous? She gets awarded by people who I heavily disagree with. Sackur mentioned all the possible charges and said she could be in court for years and YEARS to come. The Duterte Administration already ended. Was it a slap on former president Rodrigo R. Duterte's face? Duterte did congratulate her. The real issue with Ressa may still be on that case with Wilfredo Keng. I wonder if Duterte was sincere or he was sarcastic. One thing is certain is that Duterte does have a crude sense of humor.
Here's what. I don't care who gets the next Emmy awards. The whole event is a joke. Hearing that Angel Locsin Colmenares-Arce got it last 2009 is also a BIG JOKE. I'd say let Ressa keep getting awards from likeminded people. She deserves awards from people who think like her anyway.
