Coming Soon To Theaters: "Ang Tanging Ina Ng 1Sambayan"

The Yellowtards can now cheer as the "hit movie" Ang Tanging Ina N'yong Lahat (which is no longer on Netflix) might get a sequel called Ang Tanging Ina Ng 1Sambayan. I'm okay with having a merged opposition. However, 1Sambayan may not be that good if the only "logical choice" that they have is none other than outgoing Vice President Leni Loud G. Robredo. I mean, they do have other choices like Mar Roxas, Richard Gordon, Isko Moreno, etc. I mean, isn't there anyone within the merged opposition to be chosen? Why did they have to pick Leni Loud of all people? I guess it's all about motherhood statements AGAIN? Aren't there other strong women (if any) for president? I'm laughing at it because Leni Loud seems to get into the hype AGAIN based on necropolitics. Fortunately, Antonio Trillanes IV is still alive otherwise we might as well prepare for an Arlene Trillanes presidency. Though, the chances of selecting Kris Aquino for president is still there because of the death of her older brother Noynoy Aquino

This isn't an attack on Leni Loud as a woman. However, before they can promote her as a strong woman, just think of other strong women. We have President Tsai Ing Wen of Taiwan and Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern of New Zealand. A great woman is not great because she's a woman but because she's great. Tsai and Ardern have provided great platforms. Leni Loud is still welcome to continue her vaccine express and her Angat Buhay. The problem is that she doesn't seem to pay attention to the rules or is seemingly using these machines for her agenda. I mean, she could just let her programs continue on but she's seemingly using it for pa-epalan - something her late husband Jesse Robredo filed against while he deserved as DILG secretary.

I'm suddenly thinking of the widow hype. The first widow hype as with the late Cory Cojuangco-Aquino. Now, they think the situation is similar with a "dictator" in outgoing President Rodrigo R. Duterte who is running for vice president. Honestly, I don't find it wrong for head of governments to have another term or run for lower office. In fact, term limits based on a FIXED NUMBER of terms aren't doing good in contrast to term limits based on performances. Though, I'm also thinking that we might see Duterte serve as Leni Loud's vice president. The widow hype made me think that maybe it's good that Trillanes is still alive. I mean, who really (and SERIOUSLY) can imagine if his wife Arlene will run for office or a new EDSA Revolution will happen to make her the new president? Mar and Gary Alejano being alive is a good thing or Korina Sanchez-Roxas and Minerva Cojuangco-Alejano may also run for office.

I was thinking about the motive behind Leni Loud running. I really find it MORE THAN OA if all the reason she would run is to avoid another Marcos or another Duterte. I mean, what's the next proposal? Pass anti-Duterte and anti-Marcos laws? For the Dutertards and Marcostards - are we going to pass an anti-Aquino law? If Leni Loud plans to run then the should present her platforms such as how to improve the Philippine economy. I mean, Leni Loud would deserve votes if she would actually urge the congress RIGHT NOW to pass economic charter change which is BADLY NEEDED. However, it seems that her candidacy is too focused on obstructionism than trying to build up a better country. I guess their only "system change" is that the Dilawans return back to power in the same DEFECTIVE SYSTEM that allowed them and their rivals to continue the SAME VICIOUS CYCLE.

One must wonder what is Leni Loud's platforms. If she's talking about removing unnecessary economic restrictions (and also liberating the utilities sector to have better Internet and cheaper electricity) then by all means she's worthy of the vote. If all she does is just talk about blah blah blah Marcos and Duterte WITHOUT solutions then she might as well star in a sequel of Ang Tanging Ina N'yong Lahat. Then again, isn't Leni Loud a symptom of the presidential system where everything is show business? I mean, I think she may even want to lie that she will make the Philippines the best ASEAN country in three to six months to win. If not then she can just FORGET it. The presidential system still really lacks credibility to start with and not's just a matter of PDP-Laban or 1Sambayan. Instead, it's a matter of popularity-driven politics isn't the way to set up a country.

Meanwhile, the parliamentary system would go by performance-based solutions. I doubt it that Leni Loud would be losing her mind if she was in a parliamentary system. For one, maybe Leni Loud and Mar were busy being the Liberal Party opposition against the PDP-Laban government. Mar as the opposition leader will have his own set of appointees to mirror Duterte's set of appointees. I mean, Francisco Duque has the health minister is required to present data to Willie Ong as the shadow health minister. Michael Aguinaldo will serve as the shadow minister of audit to scrutinize the government's actual audit such as overpriced equipment and inventory mismanagement. The issue is no longer about being an Aquino, a Marcos, a Duterte, a Robredo, or whatever but on PERFORMANCE.
