Filipino Commies Failed To Secure Their Possible Closest Ally

Last year, I remembered writing about how ironic it is that Filipino communists LOVE communism while they hate Communist China. They sure have Vladimir Lenin, Karl Marx, and MAO ZEDONG as honored figures yet they HATE CHINA? Another irony, to add, is that they idolize Mao but they can't even muster his skills in implementing his Art of War in the national struggle. The Filipino commies had a long hostile relationship with China - something I really felt was their lost opportunity even during the 1990s or the late 1980s. They really had failed to see China could've been their best chance to winning their armed struggle.

Joma Sison could've had a powerful alliance with Deng Xiaoping during his exile

A bit of a history lesson shows how the CPP-NPA had its own failure of mind. Didn't the members of the CPP-NPA even recognize that China could've been their closest communist ally? For a start, the 1980s was basically the rule of Deng in China. Jose Maria Sison could've requested his status as a refugee with Deng for a start. Maybe, Sison himself could've gone to China as a refugee and a guest of honor in Deng's palace. Sison could've probably gone to Tiananmen Square to pay respects to Mao. Maybe, Sison could've been welcome as a guest in Deng's palace. Instead, Sison flew off to the Netherlands - a country that's ironically capitalist and democratic. Did Sison fear that Deng could deport him anytime because of their different ideals? Deng was a guy who considered poverty not to be communism and that to be rich is glorious. Deng had a communist state that would make North Korea envious. It's because Deng restored the entrepreneurial spirit making his own version of communism something that lazy moochers wouldn't want to be in. Deng demanded people work or receive no pay. I believe Deng probably sent lazy moochers to concentration camps.

Sison could've brought in powerful ideas that could've gotten Filipinos to side with Filipino communists. For example, Sison could've been taught by Deng the entrepreneurial communist spirit. Sison could've created a new handbook that would translate Deng's economic policies in Tagalog and English, distribute them to the members of the CPP-NPA, and have them publish it for Filipinos. The propaganda that they could've submitted is to go against the Filipino First Policy of Carlos P. Garcia and the protectionist policies of Ferdinand E. Marcos Sr. Maybe Sison could've remained relevant if he published journals about how Deng's pro-foreign investment communism triumphed over the Philippines' excessive restrictions.

Maybe, Sison could've also benefited from an alliance with China for the CPP-NPA recruits. We can imagine it if recruits to the CPP-NPA are all made to practice Chinese kung fu with the Chinese military. You can imagine the threat the CPP-NPA would have if they had advanced weaponry from the Chinese military. You can imagine how the CPP-NPA could've easily built a base at Spratlys Islands with Sison leading the team. Chinese soldiers will train the NPA to do better missions that will put the Philippine police and military to shame. Instead, the lack of a proper alliance resulted in the CPP-NPA to be still stuck in the mountains until today. Deng could've easily helped him conquer the Philippines. Instead, sticking to Maoist ideals just gave Sison another massive failure of the mind.

Why did Sison end up chewing away China instead? An entry from Sison's blog reveals he blasted China for "greedy sea dispute" during Noynoy Aquino's time:

Despite the fact that Mao established diplomatic relations with dictator Ferdinand Marcos, who had Sison arrested, tortured and tried for rebellion, Sison continues to follow the Maoist doctrine. In fact, he criticises the present Chinese leadership for veering away from Mao’s vision.

“I think the Philippine communist party is more loyal to Mao than the pseudo communists, the fake, the phony communists in China now,” Sison said.

He traced the latter’s abandonment of “real communism” to “the counter-revolution of Deng Xiaoping [which] was quite successful. There was a coup in 1976 and by 1978 the transformation of China into a capitalist society went in earnest. And what you have [today] is a capitalist country.”

When asked whether he could achieve victory in his lifetime, Sison, now 76 and living exile in Utrecht, said: “Maybe you know, I could have died as soon as the party launched the armed struggle [in 1969]. The communist spirit is to ‘do what you can, do your best while you can’.”

Then again the hypocrisy is really there. Why would he hide in the Netherlands (instead of Nortk Korea or Venezuela) if he hated capitalism AND democracy? It would still make sense if he hid in China and asked for asylum from Deng himself. Instead, he contradicted himself by saying Deng deviated from Mao yet he's still in the Netherlands?

Rather than cooperate with China - Migraine International chose to antagonize its potential ally

History would prove how the CPP-NPA once again shot itself at the foot last 2011. Do you remember when China executed three Filipino drug mules under the reign of Hu Jintao? Migraine Internationale, one of the legal fronts of the CPP-NPA, really failed big-time. They could've cheered on the executions of the three drug dealers but chose to antagonize the Chinese government. Think about for even a second how they could've gained allies with China by doing so. Instead, they decided to side with the three executed drug dealers instead of China. The move was already not a good way to gain a potential ally. They could've gained China as an ally by rallying, "GO AHEAD CHINA! EXECUTE THEM!" Instead, they made martyrs out of the three drug dealers in China to further their cause. Migraine International could've won China's favor if they were focused on turning in pasaway OFWs in China over to the Chinese government than defend the latter. Migraine could've danced for joy in support of China but rode on its wrong side.

Migraine International wants to junk labor export policy BUT they want to retain economic protectionism. It has to be THAT extremely absurd one way or another. Then again, I think Migraine knows the truth but spreads its dangerous lies to remain relevant. I think that fewer OFWs means less power for Migraine International. If there were no executed OFWs (such as the late Flor Contemplacion) then they wouldn't have that much power. They managed to look relevant last 2011 when the three drug mules were executed in three different parts of China. Instead, their antagonism of China resulted in them lose a potential ally.

The leftist lawmakers could've used Communist China to further their political careers

Remember the claim that the late Ninoy Aquino sold Sabah to Malaysia? For me, Ninoy did't sell it but rightfully gave what was right to Malaysia. Though, I could think of the political ambitions of the groups such as Bayad Muna, Alliance of Complaining Teachers, and Kayabangan Partylist (above) as represented by Carlos "Heneral Lunatic" Zarate, Antonio Tinio, and Sarah Jane I. Elgago. These three could've easily used China to strengthen their positions.

They could've welcomed Chinese investments for a start because it could've easily powered their cause. For instance, these leftist lawmakers could've voted for China Telecommunications Corporation (CTC) to have 100% instead of establishing DITO Telecommunity. Another is that they could easily power their machinery if they decided to get Huawei, Xiaomi, and Lenovo armed with CTC sims with Internet faster than that of Globe and PLDT. Imagine if Elgago herself had a powerful Chinese phone armed with a CTC sim - she could use Tiktok and We Chat in her cause. They could easily dominate the Philippine Internet by offering faster and more affordable Chinese Internet. Instead, they chose to remain to support the lousy local telecommunications companies.

The Alliance of Complaining Teachers could've easily won if they all procured Chinese laptops. Just imagine if you had Tinio giving out tablets and laptops from China (with CTC Internet) to the members of his group. Elgago herself could've easily gone to the public schools and give out the tablets and laptops. Along the way, these guys could've easily passed communist propaganda such as the incident with Anakpatis. Anakpatis could've easily swayed people to their side if they passed leaflets containing Deng's communism with economic liberalization manifesto. They simply failed to see the potential they had if they chose to be allied with China instead.

The community pantries could've easily benefited if they had help from the Chinese military. They don't want the PNP and military to intervene? Why not ask for help from the Chinese military? The Chinese military would easily supervise the pantries done by the like of Gagabriela and Kayabangan Partylist. Even better, they could provide quality relief goods by getting legitimate Chinese food products. You can imagine how these pantries would have the quotes of Deng displayed. Imagine if the pantries themselves have extremely good sanitation and equipment provided by the Chinese military. You can imagine how that kind of pantry would easily sway anybody to follow communism.

_______

Just think - it's really that massive failure of the mind on their part!
