A few days ago, the news above was really intriguing. Now, it seems Rappler has shot itself at the foot by reporting that ANC ends its proposed partnership with Chinatown News TV. I just have mixed emotions even with the partnership and after the partnership ended. Mixed emotions were there and I'd really want to say that ABiaS-CBN does have a huge history of having a massive failure of the mind. I mean, ABiaS-CBN could've remained on the airwaves IF it supported constitutional reform decades ago. ABiaS-CBN could get away with having foreign investments in it if it wasn't for the 100% Pinoy-owned only media law.
I really must laugh at how the partnership quickly ended. Again, this CNTV here is owned by a Filipino-Chinese - not Chinese from China. ABiaS-CBN is also owned by mostly Filipino-Chinese. Some of the Yellowtards' idols obviously have Chinese ancestry such as the Aquinos. Do a Google search on the faces of Servillano Aquino and Benigno Aquino Sr. - both are obviously of Chinese descent. A lot of local Filipino businesses are owned by Filipino-CHINESE. Yes, I just felt that the rage towards ABiaS-CBN was uncalled for. Then again, trying to promote China's One Road Policy is just promoting a bully state. This isn't about sinophobia but going against the Chinese government that can't even treat its own people right in the first place.
There's also the failure of mind towards sinophobes who love ABiaS-CBN. Being friends with the Chinese doesn't equal being a supporter of Xi Jinping and the Chinese Communist Party. I remembered growing up as a Chinese born here in the Philippines. I remembered how I was usually told to "Go home to China!" Then again, ABiaS-CBN is owned by mostly Filipino-Chinese. ABiaS-CBN also aired some Chinese programs (from both China and Taiwan) too. It's really something when you've got Filipinos who reject Filipinos of different ancestry. A quick study of Filipino history will tell us that the modern-day Filipino is a mixture of several races. Are they even sure they don't have a drop of Chinese blood in their systems?
I think the reactions can be rather mixed. I'm really laughing at how this partnership could've happened and then it got canceled. Either way, it really is showing how ABiaS-CBN really has that massive failure of the mind.
