Campaigning Filipinos To Buy Local Isn't Going To Be ENOUGH To Spring The Philippine Economy Back On Track

It's no secret that the Legacy Virus or COVID-19 outbreak is slowing down the world economy. The Philippines is having problems coping up with the outbreak especially due to people who just refuse to follow simple guidelines. However, there are some bozos that made that meme above that's begging people to buy made in the Philippines to boost the economy back. Purchases made from both local products and the local businesses help boost the Philippine economy. However, it's not enough to subscribe to the idea of, "BUY PINOY, BUY LOCAL, SAVE AND CREATE JOBS." because that alone doesn't create jobs. Not to mention, the mind-blowing stupidity of promoting economic protectionism with imported products

There's the campaign that Filipinos should buy Made in the Philippines products. However, the problem is after the Legacy Virus crisis is that many Filipinos are without huge tons of money. Handouts are money only enough to buy for their necessities. Sadly, some people (like the members of Kadamay movement) are using their handouts for nonsense stuff like gambling and drinking. They decided to make leche flan out of the eggs they received rather than budget it for daily meals. Right now, I even wonder how many people truly have money from government handouts since most of them tend to waste it? I bet most people today probably had their accounts closed in the bank. I think others don't even have a bank account to save whatever money they could've saved by budget spending. That raises the crisis that if you want people to buy your products then you need customers! If people have no purchasing money then how can they purchase? If there's any reason why many Filipinos may have not money to buy even the local products - blame it on the 4Ps-COVID-19 epidemic! It's because 4Ps just ends up as a lousy bandaid solution, right? 4Ps is supposedly a conditional cash transfer program, there are some 4Ps success stories (assuming they aren't fabricated) though it has become a scenario where people are now just waiting for a shower of gold coins. How can people learn to budget their money if they keep getting allowances from the government?

The solution for more Filipinos to purchase their local products lies with employment. When did Filipino communist groups ever understand job generation? Do they think that the government can just magically (presto) give jobs to Filipinos? I always find it stupid that Filipino leftist groups allegedly want to end labor export but they don't want to open up the economy. There are all the whiners and their erroneous views about foreign investments. How many times do I have to listen to whining like that only foreigners will get rich whenever I talk about removing the negative list completely? How many times do I need to tell them that foreign investors are not foreign invaders? If there's any reason why first-world countries have their jobs then it has to do with their acceptance of foreign investors. I dare those idiots who believe that only foreigners will get rich if you let them invest to tell that blatant lie to the first world countries they're dreaming of either working or going to. I dare those who believe that OFWs are "conquering the world" to demand those host countries to bow down to them and not get deported.

Buying local products and supporting local Filipino-owned businesses shouldn't be limited to just Filipinos alone. Do you know how the tourism industry is boosted? Tourism is boosted by both Filipino tourists traveling within the country and foreigners traveling to the country. Did the foreigners overthrow the local tourist industry or did they help BOOST IT? Foreigners helped boost the tourism agencies when they hopped on board and became customers to where they went. Tourist spots benefit from foreigners because they get paid by the agency (with money from the customer, no less). The foreigners will also avail of the products and services of the Philippines. Both foreigners and Filipinos benefited the tourism industry. The same can be true that foreign investments can benefit the local business industries. The problem is viewing foreign investors as threats without viewing them as opportunities. True, foreign investors will be a threat because local investors will be competing against them. However, the local investors can see that their suppliers and customers have competition too. While they have to keep their toes against investors or perish yet the competitors of their suppliers and customers appear as opportunities to grab. In turn, it will help to cause local Filipino businesses to expand also through foreign investments.

At this point, the main agenda of the government aside from fighting the Legacy Virus epidemic is to think ECONOMICALLY. It should think of how to recover from its expenses accrued by paying soldiers and policemen extra to help keep peace and order. They have to think of taxes left unpaid because businesses are inoperational and might be asking for valid tax discounts. They better think of better plans to boost up the economy while fighting off the Legacy Virus.
