If OFWs Are "Conquering The World" Then Why Isn't The Philippines The Richest Nation In The World?

I could remember a post I wrote last 2015 where I tackled the foolish idea of "Pelepeno World Konkwest". The silly idea is often accompanied by other silly ideas such as foreign investors are foreign invaders or that only foreign investors will get rich. The justification of the idea of OFWs has been set with the idea that it's done in the name of "conquest". The logic is that Filipinos will be getting the jobs from the country they're "invading" and not the people of that country. The idea is really absurd that they're "defending" the Philippines from "foreign invaders" and that it's all about Filipinos will one day rule the world. The ideas are probably accompanied by the Penoy Master Race mentality together with the possibility of trying to maintain Penoy Racial Purity. If anything, I don't think there's hardly any pure Pinoy today. In fact, I'd even say that every citizen of the Philippines should be considered as Filipino or Pinoy regardless of ethnicity.

Why do you think Filipinos have been leaving the country? Did they go look for jobs in other countries as spies so they could conquer the land like Edz Ello thought he did in Singapore? The real issue is job scarcity brought in by economic protectionism. How can they find jobs in the Philippines if there are too many Filipinos and too few Filipino businesses? The fear that foreign corporations may "invade the Philippines" has caused many Filipinos to fear constitutional reform. The greedy oligarchy, as well as Filipino leftists, have invented one lie after the other. One of their famous lies is called the "national land reform program". Many Filipinos (as a bad consequence) believe that the first world countries didn't accept foreign investments but chose to protect the local businesses leading to the national industry. All the while, the oligarchy together with the leftists are laughing their way to the banks or enjoying their vacation in free-market countries. If it were true then why are undeveloped islands still undeveloped? Spratlys is just one example and I wonder how it'd turn out once it becomes the future sovereign state of the Yellowtards? Those Filipinos looking for jobs abroad are doing it not for conquest (though some have bought the ideals like Edz Ello did) but because they need better job opportunities. However, the real cost is that they can't spend more time with their children growing up. The consequences were already well-portrayed in the Tagalog movie Anak yet why is economic protectionism still practiced?

Just tell me how is the "Penoy Prayd Empire" built by OFWs? Do I need to remind them that OFW means Overseas Filipino WORKER and not Overseas Filipino WARRIOR? We can consider the number of countries where OFWs are sent. They are sent all over ASEAN and other parts of the world. It's been decades since the OFW program begun and it didn't begin with the 1987 Constitution. Rather, it began with the defective Marcostard constitution or maybe even with the Carlos P. Garcia "Failipino First" constitution. Why would I call Garcia's constitution as "Failipino First"? It's because the Filipino First protectionist policy caused the Philippines to FAIL miserably. Marcos years the golden years? The Marcos years were characterized by cronyism, socialism (because many firms fell into GOVERNMENT HANDS and the government is a POOR INVESTOR), and inflation was way high. The Cory Years came and that the ill-effects of the Marcos Years wouldn't be so bad if economic protectionism was removed. The many decades of state protectionism and OFW phenomenon didn't conquer even ONE SINGLE COUNTRY for the Penoy Prayd Empire. Can those who believe in the silly idea of OFW world conquest please cite one country that's now bowing down to the Philippines? Hmmm, would the number of illegal Filipino migrants even count as conquest? Then again why are they THROWN OUT of the country and not one country with illegal Filipino migrants become a new Filipino state?

The big irony is that OFWs are sent to countries that greatly benefit from foreign investments. Let's consider the common countries where Filipino "warriors" ahem workers are sent to "conquer" ahem work. Neighboring countries such as China, Taiwan, South Korea, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam, and Hong Kong. Consider the Western countries where they're sent like Great Britain, Netherlands, Canada, the United States of America, and Switzerland. They are all countries that greatly benefited from accepting foreign investments. Countries in the Middle East they're sent to are also benefiting from foreign investment. I wonder what does Richard Heydarian have to say about free trade supposedly not working in the Middle East then? Why aren't Filipino workers sent to countries like North Korea and Venezuela? It's because North Korea and Venezuela are proof that national self-industry is a total failure. Protectionism is only a success for people in power. The politicians under socialism live luxurious lives at the expense of the people.

If they have conquered the countries then why hasn't a single country send in their tributary money to the throne of the Philippines? Why didn't the countries that were supposedly "conquered" by OFWs sending in tribute. OFW remittances are NOT tribute. In fact, OFWs are already taxed in the country where they work so why even tax them again? True, the OFW remittance sent to their respective families which increases spending but that money is NOT tribute money from the foreign governments. When Mahathir Mohamad visited the Philippines - he was on a STATE VISIT, not a tributary visit. Why haven't Filipinos working abroad taken control of their foreign EMPLOYERS at all? Why hasn't the Philippines' Bureau of Internal Revenue receive tribute money from the governments of countries where there are OFWs? More importantly, why have those countries where OFWs are sent still INDEPENDENT states? It's because neither foreign investors nor OFWs have taken over their country. Foreign investors and OFWs are both subjected to the laws of the country where they invest or work in.

It's time to get rid of the silly notion of conquest. Besides, what has Penoy Prayd even done for the Filipino economy? Has it really lifted the lives of Filipinos? That's the question that needs to be asked as the need to open up the economy is a very urgent matter for the Philippines.
