Right now, the battle between Leni Loud Robredo and Bobong Marcos can't get any more tedious huh? I can't be too sure if Bobong needs to MOVE ON (something Alan Peter Cayetano) or did Leni Loud just win the protest by cheating. But, I do have to admit that Bobong pulled the same idiotic stunt that Mar Roxas made by turning himself into a superhero. I mean, both the Marcoses and the Aquinos do have A LOT to answer for such as how BOTH OF THEM espoused economic protectinism. Now, it's time to consider that maybe we've got two clowns beating each other up.
It's really something when you consider that Vice President Leni Loud Robredo is giving away lugaw during the Batangas relief operation. Okay, it's not degrading for anybody whether as vice president or as deputy prime minister to do menial labor. The problem is she seems to be just diverting attention to herself. Wouldn't it be better if Vice President Leni Loud herself was seen distributing relief goods with President Rodrigo R. Duterte. I don't care if she's serving lugaw and pandesal but what are her motives in doing so? She even has to advertise it with a slogan that says "Lugaw Leni" when she could have simply said, "Lugaw dito!" instead. Her attitude of having gone separate ways with President Duterte makes you wonder if she's even fit for office. While smiling at the calamity victims while passing out lugaw is a must - she seems to be just smiling for the camera there.
As Get Real Pundit would even post this comment about Leni Loud during the Taal relief operation herself:
Robredo’s got too much time on her hands. These sorts of activities would normally be delegated to staff or volunteers by executives with real jobs. And even so, the focus of any documentary would have been on the evacuees and not on the politicians. We all know she’s just doing it for the cameras. Robredo is simply running on empty. After being fired twice for incompetence, she realised there is nothing more to lose. Her dignity is gone too and that is why she stoops to such lows.
Again, NOTHING WRONG with Leni Loud having a relief operation. However, she has shown that she may not know how to delegate. I wonder has she not learned from the mistake that Mar Roxas made? If she could have her staff HAND OUT the lugaw then I would probably be more impressed than her doing all the work. Authority figures are there to direct the workers where to go. She could have decided to go with President Duterte and DISCUSS SOLUTIONS on how to deal with the crisis. No, she probably just stayed there in hopes of becoming his successor. Unfortunately, she may be tokhanging all her chances already to become president. Would the Taal relief operation be her last straw?
So, let's consider it that Vice President Leni Loud may have won the protest but has she truly won the hearts of the Filipino people?
Now, it's time to consider Bobong Marcos. TBH, I think he made a big mistake by not running for senator last 2019. If he was - he could have had an advantage (if ever) to expose whatever fraudulent activities happened with Dumbmatic. Bobong in due fairness is also participating and has done good service himself. But the question is what are his motives? Is he simply just there for Photo-Ops? In due fairness, there's someone there smiling while someone receives a relief package.
Also, from the Manila Times we can read that Bobong did provide relief goods for Taal victims last January 18. Here's what you can read:
Former Senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos, Jr. launched a relief campaign for individuals and families displaced by the recent activity of Taal Volcano.
“Situations like these call for swift action. Ensuring that help reaches those who need it the most should be the top priority for any disaster response. Our experience with Yolanda in Leyte has taught us this fact,” BBM said.
BBM’s friends and supporters from the private sector responded positively to his calls for donations a day following Taal’s unrest.
“At the rate help is pouring in, we will have enough to conduct an initial relief run in the coming weeks if not days. I feel humbled and thankful with how people have responded thus far,” BBM added.
In due fairness, Bobong hasn't been mentioning Leni Loud even one bit. So maybe, Bobong is doing something good. Yet, the more I realize that he's probably still trying to paint his late father as a hero - the more I think he may just be here hoping to win a post this 2022. Oh well, he might as well prepare that maybe Noynoy Aquino will be buried at the Libingan Ng Mga Bayani beside his father. If the constitution doesn't change at all then he may consider becoming Leni Loud's vice president too.
