Maybe, just maybe, Bongbong Marcos or should I just call him Bobong Marcos is just as much as an irritation as Leni Loud Robredo. Not that I'd dismiss whatever projects Bongbong has done but his desire to whitewash the Marcos years in textbooks is STUPID. It's time to consider that not everyone who voted for President Rodrigo R. Duterte voted for Bobong as vice president. Some of those who voted for President Duterte may have also voted for Vice President Leni Loud Robredo or Alan Peter Cayetano. It's a shame really how some Duterte supporters are now divided. Does it automatically mean that you dismiss Bobong's claims towards the vice presidency then you are for Leni Loud? Absolutely not!
Please consider that journalist Rigoberto Tiglao himself is both anti-Aquino and anti-Marcos. Tiglao even went as far as to dare to compare both Aquinos and Marcoses to be dictators. Later, Tiglao found a document that may prove that the Marcoses and the Lopezes of ABiaS-CBN were once allies. Just because you're a victim of martial law doesn't mean you should side with the Aquinos all the way. Just because the late Ninoy Aquino fought the late despot Ferdinand E. Marcos Sr. is not enough to make him a hero either. Ninoy was probably just an ambitious twat like Starscream in Transformers. Starscream wanted to overthrow Megatron but that didn't make him an ally of the Autobots. Starscream was both an enemy to Megatron and the Autobots. Maybe, one can compare Marcos Sr. to Megatron and Ninoy to Starscream. Now, you've got the whole dichotomy focused on Bobong and Leni Loud. It seems that Tiglao still can't be sure if Leni Loud is either legitimately installed or not.
I could consider that there may be some truths that need to be told - even from the Yellowtards themselves. For instance, Pia Ranada of Rappler actually dismissed malicious rumors about President Duterte. The whole call to return what's stolen is most likely real. I mean, how can Imelda R. Marcos herself have that MUCH SHOES or how could Marcos Sr. even have that much wealth before he stood in power? If Bobong himself is indeed guilty of theft then, by all means, he needs to return the wealth. Bobong, however, continues to insist on his lie that his late father's rule were the golden years of the Philippines when they weren't. However, to ruin Bobong based on who his father is than his credibility is a totally different issue. If an Aquino or a Marcos can prove himself or herself fit to rule then let that person run for office!
Another thing about Bobong is that he probably didn't consider a lot of stuff. One, there can be several inconsistencies among the Yellowtards. One good example is the 25% shading of the ballots in favor of Leni Loud. Then again, what if those were already unused props because Plan B didn't have to be carried out. What if Leni Loud really won? But if she did lose and Bobong won - didn't he think that being in power could give him more of an advantage? I felt like he should've run for senator last 2019. I think he could have been guaranteed a post. Instead, he got too complacent and if there was any cheating - it'd be too late to cover it. I mean, it's 2020 already, right? Just think if he did get installed - how many years does he have to sit in the vice presidency anyway?
You can consider that all who don't like Bobong may have also voted for Cayetano too. Somehow, I might not like Cayetano but he still makes more sense than Trillanes. Somehow, at least, Cayetano was able to move on from his loss. I still can't forget how Cayetano actually made some sense in how he handled Bobong in the debate. Maybe, some of the DDS who are anti-Marcos would rather honor Leni Loud's supposed win even if they dislike her.
This would also summarize the problem of the presidential system. Presidential systems tend to be governments that rule with winner takes all. The parliamentary system would reduce personality-based politics by testing candidates according to performance. It's like how Bobong and Leni Loud as members of the parliament should prove according to their individual performance - not their backgrounds. Unfortunately, Marcos loyalists themselves are just that stupid in putting all their hopes in the Marcoses. Those who voted for Leni Loud because of her late husband Jesse Robredo are also basing it on politics. The whole problem just shows how stupid the presidential system can get!
