Filipinos And Chinese Can Still Be Friends In The Midst Of Chinese Government's Bullying

It's no secret that the Philippines, as well as other Asian countries, have been victimized by Chinese government bullying. The conflict over Scarborough Shoal had strained the relationships between the Chinese government and the Philippine government. There have been feelings of anti-Chinese paranoia which isn't helping the situation. Also, it's not like the taho-throwing incident was a declaration of war. Any Filipino who did something bad abroad isn't necessarily the Philippines declaring war either. It's because the Chinese people, in general, are not to blame for the bullying incidents. Also, all Filipino-Chinese are already considered Filipino by international law, get it?

Why should the anger not be towards the Chinese people? Many Chinese today are victims of their idiotic tyrannical government. It's just like should we blame the Japanese for the sins of the long-dead Japanese Empire? Chinese tourists and businesses are welcome or should be welcome to invest in the Philippines as long as they're not breaking rules. For instance, all the alleged talk of Chinese private investors invading other countries may most likely be false. However, China's oppressive actions towards its OWN PEOPLE (such as against the Chinese Christian community, kudos to them for actually resisting) are very well documented. The Chinese people have had a long history of giving up their Chinese citizenship because of their nation's tyranny. However, others have stayed behind to fight the oppressive government that has long enslaved China.

I'm always glad to think about Chinese and Filipinos getting along as fellow Asians and fellow humans. Reports of Chinese businessmen being welcoming toward Filipino tourists in China is nice to hear. Reports of Filipino businessmen being welcoming toward Chinese tourists is nice to hear. Paranoia towards Chinese tourists isn't helping since tourism is part of the national economy. The only tourists (and not just Chinese) that should be thrown out are the likes of the taho laddy from China. Otherwise, if you've got Chinese investors and visitors who are going to be helpful to Filipinos then let them. I may still be preferring South Korean and Japanese investors but any good Chinese investor is just as welcome.

The friendship between decent Filipino and Chinese people should still continue. Who knows, maybe Filipinos may one day help the Chinese people liberate themselves from the Chinese Communist Party with the help of other Asian nations?
